Dragoon 2 after rebalance

I disagree, the full Dragoon rotation can be repeated every 16-18 seconds ( i do not remember for sure now )

  1. Fencer was already stronger with its insane 199 999 crits.
  2. Spear throw is AWESOME. with geras spear you can do 11k-15k a hit in huge aoe… that is 3 hits a throw… I am not sure you have used it.
  3. I am not saying dragoon is the best. I am just stating a fact that guys are jumping the gun too quickly, without considering other factors.
  4. there is a LOT more to it that raw numbers and % scaling.
  5. Dragoon’s Dethrone is x2 as well, and also a HUGE line AoE. so what is your point to that?

and a bonus point: Why did IMC not implement it like that at the very beginning? That probably would have helped this game to retain its population.

also, i know this is a dragoon thread. but my main is Monk, and I just can not express how happy I am about the 425% x2 scaling on double punch)

The thing is the game was actually more balanced in Rank 7. Then a new team took over in Rank 8 and messed everything up.

From what I heard the game was even more balanced in rank 6. So yea…

Also trans happened in rank 8 which made it even worse.

-This thread is about upcoming patch.
I am talking about the new scaling of spear throw. Geras atk is a lot lower compared to high lvl equips in coming patches so its not viable.

143% at lvl 1 and around 200% at level 5.

It will still do ok damage.

It’s also 3 hits, so it’s 550ish% per spear throw. Really not sure how that’d be considered bad for a 0 Cd skill with huge AoE.

One thing I think that will probably throw it off, is the SP consumption, which already is kinda high…

Yeah see nothing’s really changed on that part which is the problem. The old gem values were made on the old dmg formula and stat formula. There’s nothing wrong with critting decent with any set of gears. They should have made it so u lose 20-25% crit rate by going plate or cloth or by equipping a weapon that doesn’t have a crit rate, not most of it. It shouldn’t be All-Or-Nothing. Most of the classes that can fit hoplite on their build for finestra will go hoplite essentially killing other low rank classes that can fit in to dragoon 2 right now. Swordsmen should have more freedom in their builds. We don’t have auto weap switching built in the game already.

All the swordsman specfic gears are plate so I guess that’s all going to waste now. It’s also important a lot of casual players or returning poor players won’t have the resources to get optimal crit rate nor would they get even a decent one. If IMC talks about making the game much more friendlier to everyone, then they’re going at it the wrong way. It’s a much bigger picture than just doing min-maxing.

P.S. I know it’s just an early stage of testing and sorry for derailing…

That is exactly why I said “compared to” while talking about the atk of the weapon. %50 bonus is gone because higher lvl weapon already have more than %50 of its atk. It wont be as impactful as it currently is.

the 50% bonus is on top of everything in the damage formula (as it seems) kind of like the +% attribute works.

There’s been new update, quantain multiplier is higher than dethrone now not yet considering crush bonus. But all cataphract multipliers went down pretty bad.

quantain lvl 5 = 1284%
dethrone lvl 5 = 619%x2 = 1238%

Wonder if DEX will increase Spear Throw’s animation speed, if that so, beside the SP burn fest, it will do some huge dmg real quick

The more I see the dragoon as it is right now on the patch the more it fits my dragoontank:

The skill are more and more oriented as a support dps than a DPS standalone.

Gaebulg became the hard hitting dragoon skill while keeping its support power.

Serpentine due to extreme SP cost will become a 1 point skill (50% extra cost)

Dethrone is suffering about having to much utility on it (heavy range, debuff even on boss) and its becoming more and more a tanking tool. This nerf will be a huge impact on PvP performance of Dragoon

What is really bugging me right now is the value of the skill Factor of spear lunge making it a really heavy hitting skill…

That’s funny to see that every Cataphract skills have inferior multipliers than swordsman C3 for exemple, enjoy your R4-6 class :).

Dragoon is overkilled : Dethrone suck, Serpentine hard nerfed.
Only Gae Bulg have good damage but you will throw your weapon by using it lol.

Just to compare, take a Cleric, take Inquisitor : 3x 1500% with your God Smash.

Monk ? Some spells have 1800% multiplier

Archer ? lol, look Musketeer / Cannoneer and classes above xDDD …

Swordsman 3 / Cataphract 3 / Dragoon 2, maybe soon 3, will not be a good build.

Keep in mind that Finger Flick is a single target skill with 25s CD without overheat. Dethrone has 16s CD deals 2x 750% which should be somewhere around 1200% after armor with huge AoE and cc and also useable by weapons that have more than 30% more base damage than anything a monk can wear and of course 2 overheat.
One must be stupid as it can get by just looking at the number and saying it’s bad. Pretty sure that the Dethrone damage gets reduced further.

IMC finally starts balancing damage. I guess the Cata dmg nerf came from that every skill a Cata has brings a very good CC. Watching the actual trends (because none of these numbers are set in stone) it seems like IMC takes down the dmg from most hard CCs at the moment which is how it should be.
Cryo still has far too much dmg this will be lowered hard soon I guess.

Ye, according to data so far, almost all cryo spell are nerfed

While dragontooh, dragon soar seems to be buffed, along with the huge buff on Gae bulg

you mean 619% on ktest right now hopefully it won’t go under that when they implement it lol

I haven’t gotten through much of the info yet, but will the return damage be nerfed or left as it is?
