Only for bosses, and no idea on the joint penalty but if i had to guess i’d say the attacker - which’s completely fine, as no one expects a supportive character to place well on damage rankings.
I’m not sure why it’d be hard for you to imagine people flaming others, seeing as you’re not being too nice yourself. Some people seem to care very much about the meta.

I wouldn’t be nice either if someone said they were specifically not going to do helpful debuff/buffs that they already have JUST so they can 1up their own pt members and rank higher ROFL like not only is that the apex of assholery but it also shows if anything that YOU care way too much about ranking/meta, not us.
I never said you cared too much about the meta, and it’s a shame if something I said was taken that way. It seems there’s a misunderstanding. It’s certain people I meet when queueing that care too much. It also wouldn’t be because I want to “1up” my party members, but because I want to avoid my party members’ flames due to certain experiences.
I’m still unsure as to why you guys care so much though, as I never said I actually don’t support, only that I feel discouraged from doing it as it only brings negative comments.

That’s the problem here. You’re not getting flamed, you’re imagining things. You’re theorizing that at some point you’re gonna get “flamed hard” because you didn’t place first.
Also about me not being nice - yeah i tend not to be nice towards people with asinine notions. A party member who was pulling his weight and didn’t place 1st for whatever reason though? Yeah i would never “flame hard” someone like that.
I’m not talking specifically about you yourself either, but rather anyone who believes that logic is sound (you made a comment about that other guy not being nice when he was pointing out how the logic of “I’m going to avoid supporting my party so that I rank higher therefore look more beneficial to the party” is severely flawed and unwarranted).
The few times where I’ve actually gotten negative comments for doing good support (I’ve had people curse me out over using stoneskin) it basically wouldve been unavoidable because they were idiots. If anything people like that are an issue with the queue system itself since it forces you to party with them; I would sincerely hope no one is playing poorly in an attempt to appease people who are like that.

Yeah, and not towards someone who’s supporting their party to their fullest. May i ask, what is your support exactly? If you say Reflect Shield, Swift Step or Icewall i swear to god… 
It’s not a big deal about rank1 or rank5… it hasn’t any bonus exp or money for the first place so, no reason for show off and fight for rank1 =w=
just do mission100 same as before… if you not lazy to play, no one will blame you.

Surprisingly, the character that got the flames was my pyro-thauma (relatively low level). This really stumped me, since nobody had been upset about my wugushi or elememe, yet someone was about a character building towards support. Perhaps I just had bad luck in my queues on that character.
After the archer’s reaction with the golem, I didn’t quite feel like chasing her down with enchant fire or swell left for the other bosses. I still did try, but it seemed she didn’t notice it and I kept missing my enchant fire anyways.
Edit : I missed a potential cringey joke opportunity there with a pyro getting flames.
Edit again : Oh, now that I think about it, maybe it’s because she saw my low hp and assumed I was going full int for damage, rather than full dex aiming at linker3 to be my archer friend’s support.
But you said support oriented skills on DPS characters? That’s not a DPS character. Anyone who complains you’re not doing damage on that character is just completely out of touch, and on the same coin, if you stop supporting on that character you’re not doing much of anything yeah.
Also a word of advice, Swell arms are great buffs - Enchant Fire however is not. It’s really just taking up a buff slot unless you have a good QS3/Chaplain.
Yes, the archer I was chasing was a qs3. The reason I feel discouraged from using support oriented skills (like lethargy) on my dps characters now is because if even a more support oriented character got people upset, it seems that dps characters would be more likely to.
And again, I do keep trying to support my team, but it doesn’t feel too good supporting when it causes people to just mock my damage. It’s been a couple hours now though and I’ve done dungeons and missions on more characters, and it seems it was just unlucky occurrences on that one character. It also might have had to do with that character being lower level and encountering newer players who don’t have as much knowledge about other classes.
Edit : I’ve seen some wiz3thaumas aiming for dps roles lately as well, that might also have been why people got confused about my thauma’s role. I think I’ll just dismiss the issue as unlucky occurrences with players who got the wrong impression about my character’s role, as it seems the majority of players have not been acting that way in my later runs on other characters.

Yeah honestly, there will always be retarded people complaining about everything you do somewhere. You shouldn’t let that paint your whole experience, you know you’re doing things right, you know you’re playing your class to its fullest.

my hoplite 3 seems to be doing fine in dps meters at his level now. 140. im always 2nd and sometimes first. and this is while im tanking.
