Doppelsoeldner : cyclone?

This is how you get DoV 15, Cyclone 15 and more skills to your rotation without sacrificing c3 skills and c2 new attributes.

12 punish oO ??? i hope its a typo

Not typo, i am actually leaning towards punish now. tested it yesterday myself.

my poor piss doppel with +5 magi 2HS, placed 1 Punish and its attribute (AoE), then 40% attribute damage. at first the damage was underwhelmingly 3-5k (it hits 2-3 times randomly), but after it was paired with DoV when we went ET. (around 8 stacks) i dealth 20k crit damage, ranging into 40-60k depending if its 2 or 3 hits.

and that’s a Level 1 Punish with 40% attri with +5 Magi 2HS

you can also see solmiki vid and how their punish damage deals 100k minimum up to 150k

Cyclone is crap skill from my experience, with lvl 6 attributes C2 dopel skills become rly strong. Before c3 cyclone is ok, after C3 cyclone is crap imo, but seems it’s all about playstyle. Personally i leave it at lvl3 and use it only as gap closer.

so what your build ?

with lesser lvl cyclone you will have less hit count = less DPS…
and for Keetsoone - cyclone is the most damaging skill in entire swordman skill tree…

Only in terms of number of buttion pressed per second :D. 7 seconds ov vulnerability at 15 lvl? no, i don’t want that. In order to Cyclone shine there should be a lot of things to be done:

  1. Without pain barier you will probably be ■■■■■■ up, 75% from attribute is useless trash from my experience.
  2. Without good support in party you will receive tons of damage while casting it for full duration or even die.
  3. Consider the statement 2 Cyclone is bad when you soloing.
  4. DPS is not that high as you think. In those 14 secodns while you whirll i’ll do lot more damage with other skills, not to mention that only 6 of those 14 seconds is doing damage while Cleave debuf is up.
  5. You can’t cancel it.
  6. Hit box is very small, i was very disapointed when i finaly got this skill.
  7. Insane cooldown.

So as you can see, Cyclone is usefull only in good party and mostly vs Bosses, in other cases is bad skill.

I’m currently Dopple2 and use Cyclone10, but i’ll will make reset at Doppel3 and will go:

DoV 15
Zornhau 6
Zucken 6
Redel 6
Zwerchhau 4
Sturtzhau 5(4)
DPE (1)
Cyclone 3

Just to be clear: Cyclone15 is most damaging skill in entire Swordman tree no doubt, but its not mos DPS skill in tree at all, it requre 7 second of ideal circumstances to shine and still not most DPS skill. Firstly i don’t like that kind of playstyle when you relly on luck or someone else, and secondly i prefer more dynamic playstyle when i have full controll of my character and can react on changing environment, in other words i prefer to press more buttons per second, have more skills to use etc.

While i lvling i rarely use Cyclone, mostly i prefer to Bash->Cleave->Siesm-Seism->Bash->Cleave->Cartar/Redel->Cartar/Zucken, pretty much EVERYTHING die after that and i can soloing EVERYTHING without even receiving tons of dmg.

even if you combine your zucken zornhau redel damage, it will not be on Par with that 7secs of cyclone rotation.

there are mechanics along with it. you have to learn it though. but seeing how you underestimate cyclone. you really are clueless about it.

It’s not me who underestimate Cyclone, it’s you who Overrating it. Any way, play as you feel better for you, i’m not persuade anyone, just sharing my thoughts/experience.

Why you didn’t mention Zucken? Don’t work with it?

So after reset it will look somthing like that:


In barb tree WarCry10 and Frenzy10 is mandatory, everything else is have realy low difference in skill points investment, you can go max cleave and sacrifice seism/helmchoper but there will be nearly to no difference, i prefere max Seism and equal Choper/Cleave.

What about doppel there is only one thing to choice, Zornhau 6 or Sturtzhau 5:

  1. Zornhau 4 attacks vs Sturtzhau 3 attacks, with 60%+ transcended gale slasher Zornhau will do more damage than Sturtzhau.
  2. Zornhau 15 sec CD vs Sturtzhau 30 sec CD
  3. Zornhau 72 sp cost, vs Sturtzhau 122 sp cost.

In my oppinion there is ezy choice :smiley: Maybe it’s even worht to go Zornhau 10 and both Zwerchhau and Sturtzhau 1.

i did mention it though, tbh other than 15 cyclone and 15 DoV, the rest of 15points you’d choose will depends on how you want it. generally people take Redel into their priority as it is True multihit skill. unlike zucken and zornhau that are fake multi-hits.

From my experience Zucken is true multihit, will test it at r8 when will get lvl6 attributes.

As about stats btw, before you will get Gale Slasher somthing like 3:1 STR:DEX is better, after you will land a hand on Gale Slasher or even Sarkmis, DEX build will be a lot better, gladly i have two stats reset potion for future :D, quite sattisfied with my stats investment at the moment.

if you said cyclone is crap you cleary play doppel wrong

its the most devastate skill in your arsenal

btw @elzeraus if you alrdy invest on 12 punish please share about the outcome damage

did its scale well or just a little improve? ( i just hope its have secret multiply or smthing)

Did couple of tests at doppel2:

Zucken real multihit total 400% of your PATK+SkillATK, do 25% more damage vs shocked enemy.
Zornhau is 100% of your PATK+SkillATK.
Redel real multihit total 500% of your PATK+SkillATK.
Cyclone real multihit total 1800%(at lvl10) of your PATK+SkillATK.

So zucken is not fake multi hit, atleast at doppel2, will do more test when reach Doppel3.

will probably do it on weekend, can’t play that much to level my dop to reach class 15 (maximizing skills, getting attri then reset). busy scheds left me to do event, saalus and some dungeons.

i have already ask Uni for some rough calculations and % damage increment on how will it go. and it turned out good.

will post results this weekend for it.
