Repairs are obnoxious for tanks. We aren’t going to Swash a room of mobs if it just means we’re giong to die and pay lots of repair bills. It’s not like we can mitigate magic damage anyways.
Sorry your runs are so slow or incompletable.
gear is pretty pointless anyways… most ppl leave their stuff broken and learn how to play with broken gear nonstop… (aside from weapon)… unless of course you’re stacking stats on gear like aoe, and all that funstuff
At the current state of the game, tanks are not even needed at all anyway, just take another Chrono or Healer and you’re set to go, sadly but it’s the true.

I stack pure int on my pel… it helps make my char smarter in terms of tanking and evading attks…

tbh… i dont need tank to tank, just swash and bring mob to the ground aoe would be fine
or simply run around in a small circle
Not to mention people complaim about the tank not pushing monsters to the right side, but in siluai mission for example, the tank push the TreeMonster to the side, then later need to be searching the gold of where they killed poata, instead someone had told him to go there before they kill and engage on the TreeMonster (I forgot the right name os the last boss).
I see healers not putting safezone or healing (they put only when their HP is low). Archers that move the bosses to the other side, instead push the monster to the skills of damage area fixed.
People really shoundt care about that.
(I dont even know if he loses exp if not close when Poata dies).
I’ve been hunting Ledas for 2 weeks now. Pretty sick and tired of running that dungeon and blowing the money on rerolls. So of course I end up in a healer-less group today. Two elementalists a squire and a ranger - wondering why I’m not pulling the aggro for the room when they are intentionally grabbing as many mobs as they can. The few times I try to take the aggro, running in circles does nothing because its a mix of magic damage and archers - so I end up almost dead. So I’m just like; “Whatever, I’m not going to tank then I guess.” Switch to DPS mode; turn provoke off, avoid Swash, use damage skills. Yeah it sucks - but what else am I going to do? Keep dying and running back?
Yeah, you can run groups without tanks. We know that. You can run groups without healers too technically. But if you’re a melee character, its going to be hell for you while the Wizards and Archers sit back and don’t take damage/repairs.
Guess I’m just a bit jaded because unlike Archers and Wizards that can do damage/utility while taking little/no damage - Swordsman are expected to mitigate all the damage, hold the aggro, and are reduced to “run around in circles” while getting shot full of arrows and magic. Only to sit by a bonfire and rest after every handful of mobs.
I guess thats what I signed up for as a tank? I don’t know - kind of over it now. Will probably just play on one of my alts since they have zero responsibility in parties and also don’t have to shell out money to run a garbage dungeon only to never get the shield I’m looking for in the first place.
Healers and Cryomancers are supposed to tank. 
This entire thread is the reason my first character is going to be a cleric lol.
I swear this game does need some sort of damage reduction equips right now

*Cryos with full con or cryosorcs with Templeshooter + plate equip mandatory, those are the only wiz classes that can and are allowed to tank

Even if the leveling may be hard, you’d never have to spend a single silver on pots. Just repairs. And pardoner buffs you’ll need those.

As a Cleric Junkie, some cleric builds are unforgiving to be your first character. But at the same time, you’ll only ever need to buy SP pots.
even less repairs using safe zone.
Unless you go STR/DEX and Monk like my Cleric. Although the SP pots you never need go to an unhealthy pill addiction. XD I end up playing my Sorc more cuz he never needs to spend money on anything. No need for health pots, sp pots or buff items. o3o
No, I don’t buy SP pots cuz Im a kabbalist. It really depends on your build. Solo build and build for Party are different.
