I guess this is not considered a ress right ?
As a BR myself, I got to agree, actually, everyone has a point here to some extent, the good AND the bad, just my cents:
Are we rude ?
Well, I REALLY used to think we were, but I`ve been living for more than a couple months now in NA and for my surprise I have seen the same rudeness\trolling behavior in most games that match by ping/proximity. Now, unless I’m being matched with Brazilians living abroad every single time, I guess we are the same as far as trolling goes.
Are we cheaters?
Well I’ve experienced quite some of that, God back in CS 1.6 days, me and my friends used to have the wall hack, just so we could judge people we suspected to be using it on our own server. Gunbound used to be a hack fest as well, not sure if in general, or just around here. I’m sure the same follows for a lot of games. The fact we speak a different language makes us stand out I guess, but here you might have a point, not sure though, check the number of stores selling “power lvls/gold/gear” in PT, it might surprise you that for some quite bot-swarmed games, you can hardly find one in PT.
Are we non-cooperative ?
Well man, some of us can’t speak english I’ll give you that, but I got tired of how many times I tried to speak in, portuguese, english and spanish and got no answers from players. I’ve been in russian, polish, spanish and asian ( these last I think the most ) that will simply refuse to speak english, even when they can, like they answer you, when they need to, but for all social part of it, just rubbish I can’t read. That’s something hard to happen with BR, if we can communicate, we will, at least that is my experience, quite some times, people are actually disappointed I’m BR and they can’t practice a new language. I just keep quiet as if I’m NA and speak english until someone brings it up “where u from”, most of the times I find BR speaking PT in a partly EN speaking party, they know each other and are talking things that don’t make sense even for me, or someone is translating what you wrote or communicating your concerns to someone who can’t read/write EN
But you are on an International Server,
you are expected to speak english ! Its commonsense !!
Well, that did not seem to stop people from playing kToS, srsly, so what if someone shouts in PT ? you feel alienated ? Well good chances are the guy who shouted can’t understand jack sht of what people are saying the whole day right there, don’t hate the poor bastrd. Other than that, good chances are that others players that can’t speak EN will reach out, and who knows, maybe you end up with less random people who can only speak PT in the queue, I really don’t see what’s the problem right there.
They know not their roles, its a nightmare !
Well then you’re really not complaining about BR, you’re complaining about plain noobs. Well just that his one has the quirk it can’t understand what you say. But if I may, I’ve tutored people in dungeons before, frenchs I think, who could not understand a thing I said, and man, “Use [Input skill name]” goes a long way, it is far suboptimal, I know, but fighting it won’t get you anywhere in the dun, that I guarantee. Also, I remember playing warcraft online and 7 out of 10 matches play with teammates that could not communicate, not in pt, en or spanish
Someone here said BR’s are a strong community, someone laughed at him. Dude don’t, it is the truth, in part, I think is the reason why exploits seem to trace more back to us than to others. One guy finds it, he shares it with the whole f*cking country guild, we are like the online version of orthodox jews religious people. Most are reasonable and understanding, until you start bashing some BR, then all goes huehuebrbr south, someone posted a video of how BR behave in a game, dude, we did it to mock ourselves we laugh at everything, it is no wonder our mindless keystrokes laugh is what gives us away in most cases, I guess trolling is just a bit more white mockery for us than it is for most people, to post it as some showcase of how toxic we are is plain lack of sense of humor (from at least our perspective).
