Please enlighten me. If racism = xenophobia, how can a brazilian be racist towards another brazilian?
I play on EU so zero racism or nationality fights. My only problem with the community on EU is it can be very anime centric which seems very immature.
Im American and i love Brazilian culture, im not sure what any of this nonsense is about, like this happened alot after we got the spammers out (untill they hit lvl 40) could be filler.
Honestly knowing a different language should be a great thing for both sides. Plus guys it helps your resume lol.
The point im trying to make here is that Brazilian girls are hot sooo we need to chill.

Yeah because of generalization they are seen as one and the same but that is simply because people don’t pay attention to detail or are simply sloppy. Racism is intolerance to a certain race… or rather a race different from your own. Xenophobia is a fear of strange or foreign things. And general intolerance is just people being intolerant to everything they don’t agree with or bothers them for a reason or another.
Try harder.

I’m not taking part on your earlier discussion and semantics but I happen to know some Brazilians who are racist towards the indigenous people, or dark skinned Brazilians or even Brazilians of Japanese ancestry. Your country isn’t that homogeneous so it’s apparently totally possible for Brazilian to be racist towards other Brazilian. Probably something similar to what it is in US?

Yes, Nyyppa, exactly. A brazilian can be racist towards another brazilian (racism = “aversion to different ethnicities”), but a brazilian cannot be xenophobic towards another brazilian (xenophobia = “aversion to foreigners”).
Racism and xenophobia are two different concepts and you just illustrated my point.
EDIT: Just adding here, a brazilian could be xenophobic towards another brazilian if they lived in different regions of a continental country (like it happens on the US), but I’m talking, of course, about brazilians who live in the same state.

It bothers, as it bothers to see my brazilian mates saying offensive words in portuguese. As I speak portuguese myself, I don’t block those who just ask for help in a polite way, but I block everyone that offend, spam, or anything like that. My block list right now is huge, and probably around 80% of it are BR’s.
My problem is not someone getting mad at this stupid spam, my problem is someone saying that the majority of the brazilians are like that. They don’t get brazilians are not know for botting or hacking. They don’t work in this enviroment and don’t really think a bit at what they are seeing by themselves. Hey, but I saw 15 different brazilians spamming in an hour of gaming. 25, 50, doesn’t matter. Great, how many thousand different brazilians were online at that same hour? How many were just quiet playing the game and hearing you call them monkeys and asking to ban them? That’s something I can’t understand, but I just have no faith after the staff apparently endorsed xenophobic behavior.

Also, I have no idea what you’re talking about. I haven’t seen a lick of hate from either side towards eachother in the chat. What I have seen, however, are some pretty amazing deals on silver.

It also says international version and what they mean by English ver is that everything is translated into English because like I said it’s one of the most used language in the world, it doesn’t mean people have to speak English, hence the international part.
