Does "Founder Pack" Compare to "Buying the Game"?

There was a storm, i was part of it, IMC listened and made it all for the best… awesome.

Still i see a lot of people complaining about one simple fact: “I don’t want to pay to play an unfinished game full of bugs and laggy”.

I thought it was common sense as to what a “founder pack” is, but since it seems it is not let me explain.

Buying the Founder Pack does not compare to actually buying the game.

Founder packs are meant to be “donations” made from players to developers in order for the developers to be able to work on the game and polish it. Companies just give advantages to founders in order to incentive them into giving support.

And that’s it!

The only question to ask yourself is: “do i want to helo the developers making the game more polished or not?”

If the answer is “yes” then you should buy a founder pack now EXPECIALLY because the game need improvement.

If the answer is “no” then just don’t.

So the issue is more a “do i trust IMC to actually use my money for the best or do i not?”

I asked myself this question a LOT during the storm since IMC seemed to don’t care at all for the game and for the playerbase BUT the last hours are seriously making me reconsider it.

So guys really… complaining about having to spend money in order to support the game “polishing process” because the game is “unpolished” is really quite… well… nonsense.

Whenever I see this exact sentence on the forums, it translates to me as this:

then after 3 weeks, this founder pack happens

edit: they deleted the thread that announced the same thing in this forums hours after founders pack announcement

I know very well what you’re talking about since i was one of the people that got hyped for the OBT and i’ve been living the full “storm” that happened on this forum in the last 48 hours.

Still, i see IMC really trying to make it up to us: many other companies would just have been like… “■■■■ you losers we’ll still do what we want to do” when they actually took a step back and worked for the best.

Really up to you if you want to trust them or not.

its like a friend/love interest asking you out then make you listen to a networking scheme for several hours

Then please if you see people whining about this just point them toward this post so that “maybe” they will learn what a founder pack is and hopefuly stop complaining.

We both know that won’t happen tho since the people still complaining are the ones that just used what happened as an excuse to complain and really don’t care about the game.

The people that are really interested in the game are the people that complained about IMC behavior with solid arguments, that are voting the poll right now and that actually try their best, be it with money OR with ideas and words, to help the game out.

At this point in time, after the solution that has been given, after that the staff announced that they are currently debating over an EU server that wasn’t even in their plan to begin with and such… the only reason to keep complaining is just a desire to complain.

THis said i can understand a “i won’t pay because i don’t trust IMC after wehat they did” that’s totally understandable and i knew already that trying to make it up for it would have never worked on the entire playerbase.

But a “won’t pay because the game still need to be finished” it’s real nonsense ^^
