Do not buy the new Leticia Cube

Here i want to simplify the biggest two reasons to not buy this cube, and why not buying it is the best way to help ToS and all of the community.

1-iToS cube (and TP services) are way worse than KToS.

First things first, please, watch this:

As you all can see, Korean Leticia cubes can give box of medals, pack of shards and many other great things that iTos cube don’t give, why? IMC thinks that IToS players are way less exigents, and treat us with worse services. The only way to improve this is a boycott.

2-IMC is reducing the capability of players to get silver and items inside the game itself.

Name it how you want, the drastically reduce of silver income on dungeons, the bad DPK and unfriendly and forced competition for drops, the lower prices on items farmed by players, moneysinkers, etc… IMC is creating a bad community, full of angry people that spend their days farming and hating when they see another player passing by.

Leticia cube only worse things, since it provides really “hard to get” items for money. If those items were more accessible on game, this wouldn’t hurt as much.

First of all, I won’t pity anyone who venture in the Gacha system, despite you people complaining that it’s different and what not, it’s your own damn option to do so as also your own money to waste whatever way you want, no one else cares.

As for the differences, Nexon KR is the publisher of kToS, they have the rights of what they want and what they don’t want in the cubes, also, they can specify that certain items would be exclusive from their servers.

Why? To avoid players from kToS flee to other region hence, losing potential buyers.

Now as for your calling to not buying, unfortunately for you, and I highly doubt that, 1% of the people who expend their money on ToS will ever bother with this kind of post.

Also, take into consideration that what they have there, might come to this side in a future patch.

I won’t say you are wrong on the DPK BS, I myself find a stupid system to begin with, specially since it is so buggy atm.

I don’t buy TP or anything else from this game, the only thing I ever bought was the Founders Pack (the first one) and I used my TP from that wisely till now, I have 2 TP + 5 of the daily free and that is it.

I would be buying tho, if the stuff that I wanted where in the TP shop instead of the Medal shop, but I can also buy that whenever I feel like saving silver for it, but then again, what I would only buy from TP shop are the costumes and/or few utilities.

I buy my tokens with silver so I’m safe for that, the money I could had invested in this game goes to other stuff or other games that actually hook my interest.

Korean TP shop allows direct buying of many costumes and their free TP regeneration is twice as fast than iTOS.

Just a list of things to consider:

• There are no gem abrasives level 4 to 10 in the game itself, only in cash shop.
• There are no silver anvils in the game itself, only in cash shop.
• There are no awakening shards in the game itself, only in cash shop.
• There are no Earth Tower reset coupons in the game itself, only in cash shop.
• There are no diamond anvils in the game itself, only in cash shop.
• There are no Old Card Enhancement items in the game itself, only in the cash shop.

And no, just because one person can buy it and list it on the market doesn’t make it “in the game”. It still only comes from a real money transaction and how is that any different than pure RMT?

The definition of P2W is very gray, IF anything that can be obtained in game and sell as $ is not P2W.

IMC can just sell Solmiki Weapons on TP Mall with 1000TP and also claim it is not P2W by theoretical.

Now we see the problem, selling conveniences that require extremely high efforts should be consider as P2W. But IMC will keep denying it

Doesn’t matter what IMC says, We’re not retared, it’s not rocket science. ToS started with mild P2W, now is outrageous P2W. Not other way around.

This explain the mindset of some consumers. They complain about it on or before the release. Now a few minutes or hours after the release of the cube, I see them rolling one by one, posting what they got online on discord and other social media platforms. It’s like a kid who whine and cry about a stuff he/she doesn’t want, but in the end wants it due to the fulfillment of getting something.

Let them cry, let them throw childish tantrums. IMC has nothing to do with their cries. In the end, they have a choice. And most of them complain for attention, but afterwards, will open up their saggy wallets and purses for the sake of fulfillment.

While not everyone is happy with this, the game really needs to undergo some drastic changes. Let’s start with the preposterous DPK system.

Well, no hating at all guys but yeah I noticed this too… people complain and yet for all we know they might be buying the 10+1 leticia cubes because “who knows I might do get lucky anyway…”

…then probably goes back here and complain about the cubes they could probably/secretively ‘tried’…

And no, I am no “forum knight” too, please don’t hate me… it’s just that this game looks like it will continue for a long time because no matter how many complains newbies like me see here, then I log in game and see how many people DO buy the cubes, I don’t think this will stop… it’s a game, a business company just like any other game… we can call it “pay to win”, but it will not stop IMC doing what business companies do best: make money…

IMC has acknowledged for a long time the differences between regions. In this case I suspect that the Leticia Cube in KTOS was deemed too beneficial, and that they would experience severe community backlash, which is a correct observation.

The problem is, it could be a possibility in KR or JP, but here on west as you can see from this post, things are different.

If IMC did changed iToS Cube content with KR Cube right now, many would be satisfied at some point, and many others would complain even more.

I said this before on other thread about something else, I will repeat here, right now, IMC need money, specially since they where half bought by Nexon, Nexon is on this market for a long time, they don’t want time wasted on the profit, and IMC can’t keep up with the demand on our side, hence, the so called patch merge was proposed.

Then again, they can’t put the patching to the same level as KR, why? Because Nexon won’t accept it. Why? Because it would cause in more delays on fixes in KR that might be in a real need as of now.

It’s pretty easy come here, bawl all you want (I’m not specifying you, I’m generalizing lol), but no one see the back side of the whole thing.

Sound’s like I’m defending IMC, but I’m not, they sink their own feet in this shi.t pool by themselves, now they are plowing what they deserve for not listening.

In games, the business side weight more than the fun side, and many fail to see that.

It’s about balancing monetisation with gameplay. The community is aware, but they are not happy with that result, so they’ll try to change it because the balance is off. In any case, the fact that our cube is significantly different proves my point that they realise the difference between regions, and that adding items like the Artisan Recipes would cause potential long term damage and be unaccepted here.

The Leticia Cube not being the same one from KTOS is almost reassuring. What really matters now is how IMC moves from here and if they continue down this kind of path. Nexon doesn’t own IMC, and TOS is still IMC’s, so we’ll have to see what kind of changes continue to come.

Unfortunately, that is not enough to change the company’s mindset, what would make it change is, the numbers, I mean, the amount of money flowing in, if with the new cube/items and the way the drop system is now caused a massive bleeding, I’m not gonna even say in player base but, in money flow, then yes, they would change.

I forgot if in my earlier posts I mentioned this, I might have, but it as you say, also, not everything might come to iToS due to Nexon’s contract.

In this part I’m afraid it’s not even close to reassuring, but it’s my pov.

Nexon doesn’t own IMC, and TOS is still IMC’s, so we’ll have to see what kind of changes continue to come.

They don’t own, but they have big influence in the way this game will go, they already invested heavy on it, they won’t simple leave it free to go wherever they want.

Still a bit soon(™?) to confirm what will really happen, but things don’t look good, at least for me it doesn’t.

As I said before on other posts, the need of money to continue the development is real, we know that, but there are better ways to earn money, and even more than the actual way they ended up picking.

You guys are already accepting the Leticia Cube. The strategy is working. The artisan recipe will most likely come at a later date (for further milking after offering the regular recipe) and it will be justified by white knights saying it will be eclipsed by rank 9 equipment.
