Disadvantage for players who choose the most expensive founder pack

Hi.

For the record this bothers me a little but I’m not angry or anything about it;

I was thinking, players who didn’t purchase the biggest founder’s pack yet are at a monetary advantage.

See, I bought the pack for 50$, and later, after the 30% off, I might buy the pack for 30$. So now, I paid 50 + 21$ = 71$.

If my friend Bob bought the 30$ pack, and then after the first week he buys the 50$ pack on sale, he now paid 65$ for the exact same thing!

I would love to at least be able to purchase an other 50$ pack or something like that.

You can buy as many of the $50 pack as you want i think, they stack, i think it was on an announcement. Right now, the pack main point is the right to access the EA, but after the EA opening they will give discount because of new players coming in during the EA time, and i don’t see why they wouldn’t allow to buy more than one of the same pack, it is more money for them in the end.

Can you? I’m pretty sure steam doesn’t allow you to purchase more then one of the same DLC for yourself.

True, i just confirmed that, i forgot about the DLC tag completely and only paid attention to the pack lol. thanks for point that out. But you can buy the other packs you didn’t.
I just don’t know how they will do about it after, i mean, when we decide to buy TP. I don’t remember any MMO on steam that have that function, i might have missed.

The only reason I’d like an other pack is cause it seems to be better value than however much TP is rumored to cost.

Yeah, i can’t say for sure, but i do think that after all this EA thing, IMC will come up with something more “stable” for TP selling. I just hope is not something absurd.

Try to not look at it as a unfair thing please but look at it as supporting the game we want the game to be great but it cant be great if you start nit picking at every discount mentioned down the line its more to turn people away from buying the packs and damaging the company’s income thus damaging the game.

If this is something that actually concerns you, you can always request a refund from Steam (before you start playing) and purchase the $30 pack instead.

You still have 1 hour and 19 minutes to refund~

And get the 30 dollar one.

xD

Or just don’t be that much of a cheapskate and lose out on a bit money.

i need to say that … i’m mister dagobert duck

2 hours and 13 minutes

I have no problem paying $50.00 to play the game a full month before others can.
$50 will buy me a ton of fun, more than most other games will.

In my dreams… it’s earlyer.

And i need 1 hour to prepare my soul!

Breakfeast, shower, clean and call my family to not bother me the next week.

Yup. Fully planned.

Of course I don’t either. Something like this would not have stopped me purchasing the 50$ founder’s pack, and I definitely won’t be claiming a refund.

I just noticed this, and just wanted to share. In fact, the main bummer in this story is I can’t purchase an other 50$ pack. (I already have one for me and one for my girlfriend)

I recommended this*: buy the second pack (cheapest one with token) and buy the first pack later. I didn’t refund mine however, it’s not because they made a mistake announcing this that I will take advantage of it.

  • to clarify, in a topic where people were suggesting about buying the third one. As a developer myself, I don’t think it’s fair.

You pay to access it earlier than your friend, so that’s why it cost more

You still have time to refund

I work with a different currency (which worths less than dollar) and I still have no problems on assisting a game I like so much with a slightly bigger chunk of cash.

Neither do I… as I said I didn’t refund and think that would be a scummy move. However I would’ve liked to get the same value as people who chose to support less originally!
