oh wow, did not realize how powerful that was.
Wiz can do damage to grouped and stationary mobs, archers donât have such restrictions and their single target damage is much better. As for aoe, linker solves all their problems, thatâs what I meant.
Poeple, even those who played wiz, complained about linkers and what we got? Wiz is screwed cause links are useless for our aoe now and aoe is wizardâs bread and butter. but other classes still can make use of links.
I also think that cleric classesâ damage is too good. Why get a wiz without links when you can get another cleric?
All this makes full dps wizards lackluster.
I think you forget to include the cool down in your calculation. Donât forget that frost cloud has a cd of 30 second and fire pillar has 95 seconds.
10 sec max plus stun lock
basically same functional as psychic presaure (c2 for stun lock), better aoe, better damage, wayyyy better sp cost efficient. it is r5 vs r4 ability so it might not suit for direct comparison.
It actually doesnât matter since fireball + flame ground already have higher MATK multiplier value than what Quick cast offers(Especially with attributes).
Attribute shouldnât be taken into account because the value is multiplied by the quick cast too. Yes, it does widen the gap, but including or not will not change the conclusion (as the real gap = current gap x attribute multiplier).
I believe someone did a calculation on the dps including cooldown somewhere in this forum. It seems that with fireball included pyro 2 ele 3 will has higher dps, but without fireball (assuming boss battle, where your fireball wonât work due to other player kicking them away), wiz 3 ele 3 will has higher dps.
Pyro still won even without fireball in that calculation but it was before the buff to quick cast.
If you like pvp then never go pyro, they are useless here, Fire Pillar canât lock player inside and only stupid ppl get hit by Fire Ball, Flame Ground
Linker also the same, JP doesnât work in 5vs5 arena.
The best pvp wiz classes are: Cryo - Chrono - Ele
Itâs proc rate feels like a solid 2% in pvp with lvl10 restrain.
But by all means play however you see fit.
@dog_593
Your claim of 2% is a little hard to believe for me. That being said I donât know much about other classes and what factors may have played a part.
Lying about it wouldnt get me anywhere. If it means anything I only extensively pvpd a Fencer and doppel on my buds list.
Definitely saw a decrease in the stuns activation when pvping, though in my experience I wouldnât go as far as saying its 2% or even in the single digits.
20% is rate in sheet. however in pvp your skill need more than 60-70% to consider reliable. no one will stand still let you proc your stun and one mistake of fail stun is half death.
20% Rate was good enough for me. You say nobody is gonna stand still but neither do you. Jump-slashing is effective to catch opponents and that .5 second stun was all I needed to follow-up with Rodelero skills. Also I never relied 100% on restrain in pvp, however I did notice its merit with my particular build so I feel inclined to support it. As crap as it is.
PvP is too much of a clusterfuck for 20% to actually mean something, just look at the arena videos.
Iâve been watching the arena and Iâm so hype about it, I agree that restrain is crap for where its at now but I still like it, and swordiec2-3 will get its love eventually. Then we can talk about its actual merit, however the gimped restrain was somewhat useful in iCbt2 so once it gets some loving I canât wait to see what itâll do.
jump slashing? after couple matchs, you will learn that being swordies (except cataphact) and able to run to land a single slash on your target in one piece without being cc is the most miracle thing could you have
Iâm not sure what weâre debating at this point? PvP is never in favor of the meele character so thatâs no suprise. Iâve faced a cyrokino and got stomped, pyroSorc ended in my whoopin, wizele and rekt. Itâs a universal problem, that most classes canât handle magic.
maybe they just had a lot of spirit to resist your cc.
you also get that splash attribute on swordie-2, so you can knockdown more things at once.
