Dear "paying" and "unpaying" players

Please watch this video and remenber we are all human beings with different opinions about things and that not everyone is in the same situation or not, but that being “ignorant” and jumping to conclusions isn’t gonna help anyone and is just gonna make split the community more

TL:DR Less jumping to conclusions about how other people’s situation is and what not and realize we all have diferent opinions.

PS: Use this thread for constructive criticism only if possible about how you hope/want IMC to handle this situations, no QQ it’s only 50 dollars and what not.

Thank you but as this fire still goes on the mob won’t change.

I know, but being at arms with each others like a civil war won’t help us, what’s gonna help us is giving our opinions to IMC else we’ll just end up self distructing

Good effort! But it’ll be a while before things are peaceful around.

Thanks so much though for trying to add a nice topic in the sea.

If imc wants $50 for founders pack, i will pay and i will play.

If imc lets everyone play for free on Mar 22, i will not pay and i will play.

Either way, pay or not pay and i will play. True fan of TOS.

In order not to jump to conclusions, accusations, flame, anger, emotions, avoid all these by simplicity. Busy yourself with other wonderful things in life, as for this game, play or not play, simple. PLAY

If it didn’t happen now, it would have happened later. This is the true nature of a lot of people. All it would have taken is the cash shop getting an item with a high TP cost that some were willing to pay and others were not. Or a feature for “VIP” that free players have to wait for events to acquire.

It wouldn’t even have to be true “pay2win”, it would just be enough that some people couldn’t afford it and everyone would lose their minds.

Sadly enough, This is true. All we can do is actually patiently wait for another update from IMC with how they are coping up with the feedbacks and such… Even if its for the best or not.

Ah yes. If you want my dry 2 cents about the situation, the most liekliest reasons why and how IMC can actually handle everything, I edited my thread~

I think a bit of self-destructing is good. People are rightfully upset about this. IMC pulled a bait-and-switch and has gone silent on the matter (for the most part) and is attempting to censor the outrage by hiding any traces of an Open Beta on the forum in an attempt to lure in new users to buy the Founder Pack without knowledge of the OBT.

That is a very good reason to be mad, but I agree. Constructive is better.

That being said IMC needs to do a few things.

  1. Three month head start is too extreme and because there will be no wipe to teams, it is pay to win. Should probably either wipe or reduce the head start to a week or so. Around there.

  2. $50.00 USD is too steep for an Open Beta. Unless there is a cheaper alternative that nets you early access. Not everyone wants to buy $45.00 USD worth of cash shop currency without knowing what the cash shop will even hold. Some of us want to play the game in a timely fashion and maybe see what the shop will have before we spend. I suggest another pack at around $15 - $20 that lets you play early. However I want the gap between F2P and early access severely reduced.

  3. They need to communicate better. They need to come clean about the bait-and-switch, explain why they did it, why they are deleting announcements and apologize to the user base as a whole.

That’s all it would take for me to begin to regain some trust in the company. Keyword begin. The fact that they thought they could get away with this speaks volumes.

No they did not. Well technically they did not, at least.

their 50$ pricing makes no sense either.
if TP value is 45$ then that means 3 months access is worth 5$
if they raise the prices to 135$ for 3 months EA (1$ a day for 90 days+45$)
it wont solve the problem but it would make more sense

I’m still waiting for someone to explain to me the advantages afforded in THIS game to people starting ahead of others. I would love to hear them without it turning into “You can play and I can’t and that sucks for me.” or “Because I won’t get a fair chance to be the first player on the server at 280 or have the very first guild ever created on iToS.”

Because if this “advantage” is about ego, I’ve got no sympathy. Absolutely none.

have you played icbt2? if not i’ll understand where u come from.

  1. You lvl to cap and farm items so that you can monopolize it and gain control of prices in the market
1.5. make money making classes and monopolize on those goods
  2. You can have a huge impact on PvP/GVG until others reach lvl cap
  3. you finish the game before f2p players can start it
  4. Gain control of world boss timers (if its set)

idk if there’s any more, i would need to play the game for more details

Are you even being serious?

Three months in an MMO is huge. You can accumulate tons of funds, get to max level (maybe a few times over?), you can establish a guild, you can help dictate the market prices, you gear up.

Like what are you even talking?

while I agree it’s stupid, the early access servers will be different from the one(s) launching in June though.

have mercy for OP’s small bucket of water.

Yeah I played both CBTs and while I never made it to end game, I never felt oppressed by those who did. The marketplace(when it worked)was always selling items I wanted/needed without me having to trouble myself farming for them. The beauty of an international server with people constantly grinding during the hours you’re asleep. Have you ever played a game where no one was ever selling low level materials so you could craft? Or gear up? It really sucks farming for all that stuff yourself on top of the exp grind.

Because that’s totally what happened before, right? Are you just doomsaying or do you know beyond reasonable doubt that this is how things are currently going down in kToS? What would be the difference for those who only learn about the game 3 months from June?

I’ll admit it’s probably an issue for pvp/gvg but I’m not convinced it will ruin the game for the entire playerbase.

As I’ve said before, three months is simply unacceptable deal for this.

I think they should do maybe one month, with four offers, actually.

1 Month - 40 bucks
3 Weeks - 30 bucks
2 Weeks - 20 bucks
1 Week - 10 bucks

And some extra goodies increasing in quality and quantity per tier.

Ideally, they should just open the game for everyone and find a different way to get some startup cash (cough kicks… cough …starter), because there are better ways to do it than succumbing to p2w offers.

Even with just a one month deal, like the example that I’ve given, 20% of the f2p users will still be against it and I don’t blame them, I think even that would suck too, but it’s a compromise that is somewhat acceptable, if they really just want to go with the cashgrab deal.

In kToS there was no three month head start and everyone got Founder benefits upon playing at launch. You can’t even compare kToS to what iToS is doing. You’re doing waaay more than learning. You’re acquiring everything you quoted. I don’t know how else to tell you that’s it’s bad and super pay to win, so think about it I guess. I legit have nothing more to add.

I’ve thought about it and we’re never going to agree on this. I guess I just don’t play the game the same way as some of you. None of that stuff is so much as a blip on my radar of concern. There are already people playing kToS that will come over with a wealth of knowledge of what works and what doesn’t, where to find some of the best stuff and how to level efficiently.
