I agree with nethereus completely.

People play these games on different basis:
Some people want to be the best.
Some just want to have fun.
And there is an underlying assumption in your argument that everyone has to start on equal footing and timing for the server to succeed and sustain which i beg to differ. A flourished server with many high levels can still constantly accept new players and the possibility of these new players growing to be top players is totally possible.
1)There are cap lvl for a reason.
2) Not every founders play to win.
3) There are bound to be crazy people who are always the top no matter what game they play due to the amount of time they can spend more than others
4) People are auto-assuming that new players who join 3 months later will definitely be losers. Cmon, people have lives.
Eg. I joined playing Ragnarok in my local server 1-2 years after it was launched, when i was a novice there were strong people with 99 auras, but so what, in a few months time i am on equal standing as them and even better, i was winning.
Like i said, some people just want to have fun, stop thinking that the headstart mean the world. For people like me who actually have a life, buying the pack doesnt mean you play it 24/7 for 3 months lifelessly. People have school, work, and for me i have exams. I am just going to play a couple of hours when i really am free even though i would be paying $50 that doesnt mean i have to max out the game time.
