Cursor/circle placement speed

I don’t know if it has been stated before because the search function isn’t working atm for me, but, I strongly feel there needs to be a scroll speed option for the spell placement circles in keyboard mode.

Currently, with no option to increase the speed, you’re stuck with a very very slow moving placement circle that becomes interrupted by terrain. If using a mouse the placement circle follows the mouse but if you’re using the keyboard option you have to hold the skill key and move the cursor with the arrow keys… to anyone who hasn’t had to cast a placement circle type spell with a keyboard, let me tell you, it’s a very slow movement compared to a zippy mouse cursor.

In pvp this becomes very apparent as the enemy dashing around can outrun your placement circle. If they’re at the edge of the screen expect to spend 3 seconds getting your cursor to them (if your spell doesn’t auto-cast by then).

Please add a slider bar so that we can control the scrolling speed of our in-game “cursor” that we use when casting spells with the keyboard setting. Thanks!

I know this is old topic but im experiencing the same problem. With the current speed its pretty hard to aim. Can we adjust anything in user.xml tho? @STAFF_Max

There isn’t anything that I’ve found thus far that works, sadly. I think this would have to be an addon but I’ve yet to find someone willing to code one for this niche purpose.

Most casters just suggest to use mouse mode but, after getting used to the default Keyboard mode, I’m stuck with it now lol This makes my keyboard-casting a bit of a burden as you pointed out.

Just wait until you PvP and the non-AI target can actually outrun your placement circle. It’s a sad day lol Not to mention the fact that the whole terrain blocking the circle is a thing still… It treats your cursor like an actor which is so odd to me, forcing it to go around rocks and other things like a player has to. Coupled with the slow speed it’s still pretty hellish.

Thats sounds horrible lol. The reason i went for keyboard at first becuz its eaiser to form icewall shape. But now when times i have to use sthing like swap sleep its becoming really hard. Guess i’ll hav to go back to mouse:(

One can hope it applies to keyboard as well.

@Darkon Apparently it does, i just checked the patch note again here it is
’Targeted Skill Speed’ has been added to the Options Menu.
- By increasing the slider in the options, you can control the sensitivity of targeted spells.
※ ( TN 1: This is a sensetivity slider, affecting ground spells target movement speed used by Keyboard/Controller players )
※ ( TN 2 : a higher value means the targeting reticle will move faster, basically a sensitivity option )
