Cryo+Linker pvp/pve

Was looking for some advice on my cryo+linker build, http://www.tosbase.com/tools/skill-simulator/build/g110nx7nic/

1 point in energy bolt, since its damage doesn’t go up that much but the sp cost goes up by quite a bit

Sleep and Reflect max and rest of the points in earthquake and lethargy, it was either 3 points in 1 or the other doesn’t matter.

5 pt Ice bolt, Ice spike, Ice wall

Ice blast doesn’t seem that useful as it works only on a frozen target and gets rid of frozen status, also it didnt look like the damage scaled too well.

Linker skills for leveling, then back to cryo

1pt in gust since it doesn’t seem to do much damage and doesn’t gain much anything but damage from leveling,

Main thing is I’m not sure what an adequate number of links is for grouping or pvp, or if maxing Ice pike is better then maxing ice bolt, just looking for some advice.

Try getting three points in Energy Bolt, since the additional sleep damage can rack up to 150% of your magic attack only at three points in Energy Bolt, anything higher will just waste SP. (Pay attention to the gem thingies below skills)

Get rid of Reflect Shield, and put four into Earthquake and one into Lethargy. I will explain why later on.

Your Cryomancer C1 is good so far, many chances for freezing.

With Linker, Joint Penalty can have an enhancement where for every attribute point put into increases the Earth damage taken by targets linked by it by 10%. It maxes at 50% meaning at Level 5 Joint Penalty.

Depends on how you see yourself playing. I think parties go up to 8 players…? At most you’ll maybe need only 3-4 links for allies unless you plan on going full party. I think you only need Linker C1, since stopping at Linker C2 is somewhat useless as the only thing you’re doing is increasing the Link amount by then. Unless you want Spiritual Chain.

Yeah I did see that attribute for link, and didnt even think about earthquake for it, thanks

As for the link c2, i figured the linked buffs would be good otherwise not sure what would be worth picking up just 1 circle of on rank 6

Look at the second attribute for Electrocute in Elementalist, it maxes at Skill Level 2 but it deals bonus damage equal to 100% of your Magic Attack at that point if the target is Frozen.

Isn’t attribute level seperate from skill level? I mean you can put 1 point in skill but can max out the attribute

They are separate, but it’s easier to max the attribute, and then start investing in other abilities if possible. I’ve always found it better to just do Level 3 Energy Bolt, grab the bonus sleeping damage attribute and then go for Earthquake/Sleep/Lethargy next.

Plus you’re not really going to be using Energy Bolt later on, so it’s better to just not max it out and put the other points into Sleep/Earthquake and so on.

@suezo_me

So far I have this for you, to try to keep to the same concept of your original build, but slightly tweaking it.

It’s kind of hard to play without Wizard’s Sure Spell and Quick Cast, if you can burst down stuff you’ll be fine maybe.

why don’t you put 1 point in reflect shield since it can negate melee attack? I think it may be life saving in some cases

Correct me if I’m wrong but I think Reflect Shield doesn’t completely negate damage. Let’s say you have a Reflect Shield that reflects 30 damage and you take 100 damage, 30 damage will be reflected to the attacker but you will still take the remaining 70 damage.

It can negate melee but not magic attack

umm, gotta ask why 5 points in gust, and no snow rolling?
From what i’ve heard prominence isnt very good, but I understand picking up electrocute, since it does more damage to ice (not sure if frozen targets count as element ice)

Quoting Satoru from another thread.

Also found this in the link you gave me. https://www.reddit.com/r/treeofsavior/comments/3j4tjt/how_reflect_shield_scale/cunwd0t

Prominence can be given an Attribute to attack in a smaller range, and what else can you choose anyway since you only have Elemental C1. You mainly just want to Spam AoE on Linked targets, and Prominence can do the job.

Ice Wall + Ice Pike guaranteed Freeze most of the time, Ice Blast to damage them and then Gust to push away.

If needed, you can just Link > Freeze > Frost Pillar > Use any AoE such as Prominence/Hail/Whatever is left

I think Snow Rolling is better than Gust because Gust have this “When inflicting damage on a frozen enemy, it will unfreeze”. And creeps can be stuck in your snowball.

Oh I agree that’s why I thought taking only one pt was fine, just for the cc of it
