Wizard - Skill Reflect Shield and question about Sorcerer

 1. Is reflect shield even useful as a defensive skill? Do you still receive damage while it’s up or does it completely reflect the damage?

 2. I don’t understand reflect shield’s attritube:

The reflective damage of [Reflect Shield] will increase by 1 per Attribute level and as a result, the amount of shooting damage will decrease.

What is shooting damage? Does it increase/decrease the amount of reflects? o.o

 1. Sorcerer: I was just wondering if you can un-summon your summon, or do you have to suffer from your no sp recovery and wait for it to die?xD

Thank you in advance ^-^

Reflect Shield is…really weird…and kind of useless.

It reduces the damage you take by an unknown amount, and reflects a fixed amount of damage to the attacker. Both values appear to be separate from each other from my observations.

The attribute just increases the reflected damage by a fixed amount, up to +20 when maxed. I have no idea what shooting damage means…maybe the Wizard’s basic attack?

I know nothing about Sorcerer, so no answers there.

Unless they fixed in the kCBT, shield reflect prevented you to die as long as it was active. Reflected damage was poor and it prevented a good chunk of damage if not all pretty often (but i was only 70 in the icbt and my shield was level 9). I liked it if only to use it as a way to escape death in a pinch.

Ah I see thanks, I found out in a sorcerer overview thread that you can release your summon by right clicking the skill/buff  therefore be able to recover sp again, which makes me wonder, can you do the same for other self buff skills? For example, transpose, is there any way to cancel the effect, or just wait until duration is over?
It reflects up to (Reflect Shield lvl * 5 + your SPR) damage. With the attribute increasing it by up to 20.

If your Shield can reflect up to 100 damage and you take 90, your enemy will take 90 damage. If you would take 120 damage, the enemy takes 100, and you, 20.

Blocking and dodging will consume a stack of Reflect Shield w/o doing any damage to the attacker.
As far as I’ve tested, any buff skill can be canceled by yourself this way.

The amount of damage reflected is negligible.

You can further increase the amount of damage absorbed through an attribute but it also reduces the amount of damage that is reflected if I remember correctly.
