Corsair vs boss gameplay

Build is Swordman + highlander + Corsair… Its nice to see that even low level boss can almost kill 178 lvl corsair…

I always get so hyped up when I see the dynamic fights of this game.

this boss is op , isn’t it ? I saw the damage is high but the Boss’ HP … Or corsair get weaker because of nerfing barbarian buff skills ?

Looks like a good fight, bosses should be difficult even with a that lvl difference, otherwise it would get boring realy fast. :grinning:. I like difficult games and challenges. Dark Souls hype

He is not using barbarian… Corsair + highlander combo is not good for bosses… You dont get the two handed master critical damage buff because of dual wielding or strong barbarian melee skills with low CD… . I would recommend full barbarian build or Barbarian + Corsair build or Barbarian + Highlander build for bosses and dps.

It’s the same boss we meet at the last floor of Tenet Chapel. It is ridiculously overpowered and frustrating, lol.

Is it me or does this corsair seem to have lower attack speed?

Tell me this music is built into the game… It’s so exciting to hear music to boss battles and stuff.

It’s from a playlist. You can see him turning up the volume near the beginning of the video.

Dang… Music like this would be super cool during bosses.

I defintely agree, although I do like the majority of the music from ToS.

Hexen Dropper looks really good though at single target DPS, albeit the long cooldown. Looks like using Dust Devil puts the Corsair in a tight situation as it locks you in place for over 2 seconds, nevertheless it’s a really good skill also. I can see this build work well in conjunction with Hoplite and Fencer which adapts the thrust attack style. Although, I have to agree that you will need Barb to actually increase your damage output…

Dust Devil actually spins enemies around when you use the skill, preventing them from attacking you whilst you use it. They remain to spin a little bit after the skill as well. This allows you to keep safe, especially if you’re swarmed by a lot of enemies. (Swashbuckling for instance.)

You can see what I mean here. Each use of the skill spins enemies around and even on enemies which can’t be hit, it just requires timing and the skill is relatively speedy.

Dang your character looks awesome.

Aw sorry if I wasn’t clear enough. I meant against a boss. Considering that fact, surely you cannot spin bosses that easily right? It is indeed a really effective skill to use at mobbing situation (the spinning ones), but I am not sure against boss tho. I am saying this based on the video that OP shared.

BTW, can I have a video where a Hoplite -> Corsair does dual attacking using a pair of spear and dagger? Thanks in advance!

Dust Devil is quicker than you’d expect. It can’t spin bosses, but it has a fast execution so you’re not at any risk as long as you use it at the right time. It’s also Slash damage, and if you’re taking Hoplite you’ll have very little Slash-based skills.

Sadly, Subweapon Cancelling is a Circle 2 skill and I’m only Circle 1. I’m holding off on taking Corsair at Rank 6 for the eventually Fencer addition. I can’t show you any gameplay with that, but it’s virtually no different from a Sword+Dagger combo, except it’ll be two hits of Pierce damage.

I can however give you some gameplay of Hoplite C2 > Corsair C1 versus a boss.

Were all these previously recorded or are you in some sort of alpha or beta game some place. I keep seeing videos of people and stuff but no idea how they are online.

It was recorded recently from kCBT3 which is still running. iCBT2 should be based on all of the content for kCBT3.

Don’t worry, sub weapon cancel is pretty bad now, so your not missing out.
