as stated in the title. how do i make steam validate the file i copied into the steam folder?

You copied the files from other computer to your own and is trying to validate the game?
If that is the case, you have to “reinstall” the game from Steam shop, that is, if you was playing it before the lock down for new players, otherwise you are out no matter what you do.
I was referring to the latter. I’ve read in a reddit post that you just have to copy paste some sort of url or steam address in the Run program and it will install steam. I guess I’ll just have to wait til they fix the servers
