with armaos safety zone blocks that attack. funny seeing armaos huff up a bunch of zombies and spit them out though. pretty creative attack design.

hackapelle should have totally gotten some control/utility.

If we could see some effect to know “this attack can knockback”, but a great number of bosses dont do sh*t (no animation/effect/feedback) and they knockback you. What is the point? lol

If they want to keep this cr4p mechanic, at least make it clear to players what the f*ck the boss is doing, jeez

PVP/PVE wise i had always thought that there should be a proc that gives you inmunity to KD after some number of KD’s. Lets say, after 3/5 consecutive KD’s your char should be inmune to KD for at least 15 secs lol, or something like that.

Its kinda like the elsword KD system but instead of “KD after certain number of hits (values)” you should actually resist KD after certain number of CC’s or KD’s done to your character.

Well, thats why i think anyways.

Thats why i love durandal, the CD window its so small that it can save you “sometimes” lol, but yes, you still do get KD even with that.

The worst is that Clerics can’t even stop them anymore.
One of the reasons why I LOVED Stone Skin was because it gave immunity to knock backs as long as you blocked it (since these skills are physical). But now that SS is useless… Everybody just keeps on being spam-knocked back.
The worst is that you even get knocked back in a Safety Zone with some skills.
So I’m really curious to know how they expect some static classes to play ?
You can’t create almost full static classes and then give them no way to defend against knock backs…

People who say “dodge” probably don’t play the game that much, I guess… or they only do missions/dungeons.
There are several bosses who do massive circle ranged knock backs that even hit archers/wizards.

@Noxot Ausrine does help but is currently bugged. If you have the buff on while the statue disappears, the buff disappears… (even if you still had 20s left on it). But there’s a short period of time when the statue has disappears but the buff circles are still on, and if you take it then you don’t lose the buff…
Which makes it pretty unreliable.

Not really. What is the use of this when the Boss do literally nothing and knockback everyone. It’s ■■■■■■■ standing still, no animation anda BAM your pt is flying. IMC should fix these buggy and sloppy bosses first (AT LEAST MAKE THEM MOVE WHILE ATTACKING WTF)

Read the developers blog, they already said that they will reduce the knockdowns

Forecast predict all bosses atack, even if dont perform any animation.

Lycanthropy. Wolfy can’t be knocked back.

This is the reason why Hackapell is so bad actually. You will get stun locked, just release the keyboard and go watch some netflix

Yo some of you peeps acting leet seriously never had to deal with chain KD.

Try doing Haulbek from the guild raid: Watch him just use the AOE that is so bugged that get you caught every time with KD from out of screen and then pull you all the way under boss as a follow up. Forecast cant even predict the range, cuz the skill hits you before the predictions shows up.

That whole you can jump and dodge. LOL, try jumping in front Paota; all thats going to happen is that you will get thrown into the air higher. Not to mention that i have been combo KD all the way from full to death before.

At this point im so used to it and tbh KD dont bother me to much, but the reality is that some bosses have way to many KD skills.

Argument? Not really I was just saying that at rank 7 everyone was going on and on about fletcher behind number 1 world bosser. Not saying Doppel isn’t overrpowered (though they are the weakest defensively). The point is back then people were saying things like,

about fletcher and at rank 9 something else will probably become number 1.

If my “argument” is stupid, yours is doubly so, since you add nothing but calling something stupid.

My point saying something bad that happens before, doesn’t justify do it again. It’s like, Trump can murder hundred of people and say “but Hitler did it”. What’s the point of having a dominant class for wb? Of course some classes can be better, but isn’t healthy just one taking every wb.

I wish Armaos (Lv290 DG) actually followed this rule. Nimble little f*cker. :rage:

That boss is the single iffiest boss around that basically says FU to your Pain Barrier or your Lycantrophy and sometimes your SZ (collision push).

######You don’t get knocked back by him in the traditional sense, but he can and will push you back, around, you name it (cancelling whatever you were doing).

Something similar happens with the 2nd Boss in Saalus Canyon Area, it’s that damn “mini-vacuum” skill that interrupts you and cancel your skills animation/damage (but still puts the skill on CD), very annoying indeed. :confused:

Anyway, I understand everyones concern about Pain Barrier and possible competition when the new World Boss system will hit iTOS, but honestly I’m not really surprised, and PB is not really the main issue here but just the tip of the iceberg.

I always had two Boss killers on my account, a Fletcher/Mergen (my main) and a Doppel, and even way before the balance patch hit, I often used the Doppel for Boss killing given the right conditions (even tho my Mergen has always been better geared) and it’s simply because of one very important thing: party buffs/debuffs.

A Doppel (or any other physical damage dealer) becomes a real monster with the right party setup (for some buffs/debuffs you don’t even need to stay in the same party) and it’s always been like this, even before balance patch and the knock-back spam from Bosses.

Dragoon’s Serpentine, Tao’s Storm, Miko’s Kagura are all huge buffs that together give your physical DPS a HUGE boost that is not easly surpassed by other characters… the scaling factor is simply that much.
Before the balance patch and the nerf to monsters’ health pool, if you wanted to do Blut/Nuale whitout taking ages (or involve many players) that setup was the way to go, I assume it won’t be different this time around either… pain barrier or not, the synergy between ranks is more or less the same it’s always been since rank 8 came out, it just became more clear who’s better fit for the job now (sadly, some ranks seems to be fit for everything nowadays :confused:)
