Constant knockback will make swordmans top dps worldbossers for sure

I just can laugh about this people saying “take your distance or dodge the hits” Do u even play the game? The hit box of some world bosses is insane, plus the delay many times you can’t avoid them. Just watch this video, without that murmillo, probably the party can’t do anything. You can say he’s the tank but no, he’s the dps also

EDIT: Please, don’t say it’s due to his gear, because people will compete in world bossing will be the top geared players.

You can’t dodge anything reliably in this game. You can’t cancel animations and your character is constantly animation-locked whenever you use a skill. The hitboxes are oversized and unpredictable. Positioning of things in the client rarely reflects the real server-side locations (lag, desynchs, etc). Everything feels choppy and messy.

Oh c´mon most doppels are Hl3 anyway and get kd like everybody else.
They underestimate sw3 lets see how fast they will reset then.

But even with sw3 in the 3 secs where PB is on cd you ALWAYS get a knockdown^^

Not the only reason under geared doppels do so much damage to bosses.

but hes constantly using knockback abilities to the point where if i do jump, im never able to do anything else. either way, nerfing the knckback rate isnt about if we get to attack or not, its about the QOL.

max pb+ double slash from sw3 nothing could go wrong with that just sux being barb 2 only. if r9 comes and all new classes sux im definitely going for barb3

SW 3 is not a necessity, Chrono Pass will end reseting Pain Barrier too, and PB lvl 5 is already 19 seconds of duration anyway.

And the World Boss after their revamp can even OHKO 60k HP Murmillos by the way.

The people saying they can just dodge and use l33t skills to avoid getting knock-backed is probably low-leveled or haven’t tried guild raids / world bosses.

No i dont even played the game, i only have 13 characters in rank 8, swords, archers, mages, clerics and i know what i’m talking about. You should play knowing the limitations of your class, I find it very difficult to change the mechanics of knockdowns, this would be to disable the pain barrier of the swordsmen. I also find it annoying to be made of pingpong ball but I have already learned to deal with it for a long time.

Swodies have Pain Barrier
Clerics have Safety Zone (for all party)
Other classes (archers and wizards) do ranged attacks…

With my Doppel (SW2) in PB cooldown I stand at back of bosses, with my Cleric (Diev/Druid) I abuse SZ, my Archer (Ranger/Cannoneer) needs more strategic moves and my Wizard (Pyro/weak Alchemist) too.

In all cases some knockbacks hit me, but is part of game mechanics.
So, adapt yourself to game, don’t demand the game adapt to you.

Please, there are plenty of knockbacks that ignore safety zone and cannot be dodged by jumping.

yeah i noticed tht, poata in silulai completely ignores my safety zone as well

You can say keep your distance… For archer / mage
But instant attack that knock you away or AoE that simply can’t be dodge… If we don’t have the aggro it also mean we aren’t doing the most dps either.

Meanwhile … Some FEW spell can knocback you on safety zone / PB or cancel your casting animation.

What I’m saying isn’t to delete completly the knocback … But a rework of hitbox to be more predictable and dodge able not who ever got the best imunity win the game.
I don’t consider instant knockback attack a fun part of doing a boss. And don’t say just jump … That the worst advise as 80% of boss attack aren’t dodge able with a jump and 50% of the time if they does the ping just screw everything.

You still have to move around and dodge thing but instant / Massif aoe aren’t dodge able oh hell wb have thing attack that hurt you out of 2x-3x vision range. There no mechanic in WB boss… Just can you survive or not with your party and can you be in the top 5 party.

Being ranged in this game help nothing if magic attacks follow you even on the other side of the map and the bosses AoE outrange you all the times.

what is the problem with working as a party? I hate knockbacks too but they tend to affect you less if there is more than one player fighting the boss. control is a good thing. tanking is a good thing. healing is a good thing. avoiding boss attacks is a good thing. getting hit with unavoidable damage is also good. they are all different aspects to fighting harder mobs.

I don’t think IMC intends for us to 100% ignore all knockback mechanics. I think part of the problem is that evasion was nerfed so hard that and ausrine made everyone into a retard.

@kyle_ruiz6 so you are telling me that there are more annoying bosses than harpeia, minofag, and poatas? I just puked in my mouth a little.

I hated knockbacks more when I was super lazy and never tried to avoid them since the bosses only hit for 1s anyways. I was literally getting pissed at being a tard for not dodging the boss mechanics. + ausrine had me spoiled for a while.

potata seems to go into an enrage mode where he spams knockbacks on a char. it gives him personality. I think that it’s still faster to kill both him and glass mole at the same time.

yep I don’t do endgame wbs or guild missions. I really need to get into all the content I have not done yet, it seems like the only challenge left in this game.

You can have 122727 characters in rank 8 and still being a noob. Leveling means nothing.

I dont mind be ohko by a boss. Men, plenty of years suffering ifrit earthquake which eas able to melt an entire party of 10 people. My point is every single hit of bosses knocback, that’s just a lazy and stupid mechanic.

haHAA , jump and dodge is 3hard5mi

Yes there are, example Hauberk does the pull in attack similar to 290 Armaos but much stronger. He also has a full screen aoe attack.

Once poata starts walking your way it’s over. My current record is 2m 17s of chained knockback from him.

I just hope that Hackapelle’s Cavalry charge do cancel the bosses’ attack just like how it’s animation does. It flips the bosses around making them lose their skill animation, making most hackapelle players expect that it also cancels the boss skill.

However it doesn’t. Felt so cheated when using the skill. T__T
