Constant knockback will make swordmans top dps worldbossers for sure

Seriously IMC, in many of my salus runs i see how under geared swordman (especially doppels) gets number one just because they don’t suffer the pain of being constantly knock backed. I can understand some bosses skills should knockback but now every single hit makes you fly away. When the new world boss system arrives majority of classes will have no chance to compete against swordmans as dpsers.

the removed it on normal mobs, so they might lower it on bosses after a time…

It pain in the ass for melee archer aka hackapell, its already pain in the ass when rouge have no few synergy with hackapell and dismount you. then you get knockdown while dismounting and your pet standing still like retard in front of boss.

Yeah I hate the knockdowns too. It should be lessened.

Yea, it totally works - every single time.

OR you could like, learn to dodge and not turn every single boss into a meatshield that just requires people to stand still and press buttons. That could work? You know? A Boss, thats supposed to be much harder then normal mobs? A creature that requires a bit more work?

If anything they should ADD stuff that spawns around it on the floor so swories have to move and pay attention as well. A bit like the bosses in WoW. Don’t remove stuff from bosses, add to it. It’s good to make them harder then they are right now, adds some challenge instead of just tank/spank.

i dont mind dodging attacks… but i have a plain kino… and those knock backs are a pain…

Jump? Everyone knows jump and dodge is useless with iTOS server’s ping.

And yes, TOS is a stand and fight game, you always stand in safety zone or barrier to deal damage,

or IMC could obtain a skill call jumping shot, shooting arrows like a rabbit.

yes I do have archer character and I know the struggle, but that is what different between archer and swordie. You have to put more attention when you played archer or wizard. You have bad ping? I still played fine with 120 to 220 ping.
Woooe! I didn’t get the first place, I have bad ping, it your fault IMC.

What I don’t understand is wether you are telling us that not taking ping into account in a MMO is good game design or not.

Well kinda hard to dodge between the impossible to dodge attack.
The no animation instant attack.
The Massif aoe that don’t even let you run or jump away from it.
But yeah… you can dodge the 25% other dodge able spell.

I really don’t mind if boss become harder, they are easy REALLY easy…
Just really annoying because you can get chain knocback for 3-5-7 max i got chain knocback by the same attack 12 time in row.
Make boss land heavy hit but slow dodge able one.

Not to mention Poatas out of scale hitboxes, he will still miss you if you position Poata and yoruself on the right spot aswell, suprised IMC never fixed it.

yeah chain knockbacks are annoying but to get the most out of PB you have to be sword 3. blocking can help with some attacks but you have to use a shield. standing in sz can help sometimes. sometimes ausrine helps (I assume it does, 90% of dievs seem to have disappeared). haste can help sometimes.

but yeah poor hackpelle, it’s not like he can run super fast to avoid things. do they have to be in melee 100% of the time? if not then they should prioritize zooming in and out of melee range. getting dismounted by a knockback sounds incredibly annoying.

most of the time when i’m getting chain knockbacked 4 other people are free to hit the boss without being chain knockbacked. teamwork is useful. positioning your char correctly is useful. sometimes things happen that can’t be avoided, that occurs in most mmos.

I also don’t mind, but it’s not like a swordman will tank only, they can tank and dps, and their dps is probably higher than other classes. I only can see doppels being n 1 in the new world boss system

You can jump all its attacks. The other bosses too.

but doppel is a glass cannon. glass cannons don’t make good tanks unless they kill things very fast.

I recently did a mission on my pelt/hoplite with a dragoon. the dragoon would almost be dead after 2 hits meanwhile my hp bar hardly moved. when the dragoon switched to a shield he became a lot more tanky but his dps decreased. doppel probably has it even worse since he debuffs himself.

Clerics have their safety zone, wizards and archers have their safe distance, and players have to know how to play their classes, next.
