Compaions are useless(?)

But… I love my Velheider. :c

For me, they are useful as decoys. Aggressive mobs would sometimes go for your companion rather than your character. It helped me a lot on those Royal Mausoleum quests with those beetles and scorpions constantly spawning while you destroy a pillar.

I do not like how the companion system works as of this moment. Hoping that it improves as the game develops. We’re still in CBT anyways.

My problem with pets is that they take agro, when i want to gather enemies into a AoE skill the pet has pulled couple or 1 and it wont move into the same spot as the rest.
So far my pet is actually making lvling slower its a handicap basically making mobb pathing much harder to predict and exploit, and it does literary no damage.
Unless they add companion equipment think they will always be useless

If i could make it only attack archers or some such AI tweak it would be pretty damn useful

i actually love my pet lol, if i make a new character and bring my level 80 pet with me he just one shots everything xD

I just don’t like the feature where you have to pay money to upgrade the stats of your pets, I hope they have the same stat distribution with chars or at least there stats increase per level automatically. lol, I haven’t noticed my pet stats increase since I got it, now its lvl 80 and been juggling around my other chars to level it.

That feature is how hunters increase their damage. Thats the only hunter attribute that increases his skills damage ( as they all based on the pet).

Im not into this too. This is kind of unfair actually. I spent a lot in upgrading my pet’s stats but I can’t even barely see the difference.

notice how this thread was 5 months old rofl? Everything regarding increasing hunters damage has been changed lol, I could go as far as say any information here is now obsolete. Also, you wont notice a difference anyways if your pet is behind game level content, its wasted money.
