[Class] Kabbalist Overview

kabba doesnt recquire specific stat actually, the only damage is from Merkabah and as @Sakane said, with c2 it lost his “damage” ability

  • ein sof is hp %age augmentation,
  • r7 depend on the damage you recieve
  • every other skill are buff/debuff

same goes for c2, 2 new buff and some new attributs

stat your kabba accordingly to the other classe you’ll chose

Priest scales extremely well with SPR especially with the recent changes to Blessing.

Paladin’s Barrier’s MDEF boost scales off of SPR, but that’s about it.

Also ‘support’ is actually too broad of a term for the Cleric class as all of them support in their own way. SPR is great for Priests, but Diev is better with INT. What sort of build were you thinking?

I’m pretty sure r7 with mackangal kills you instantly.

Only if you are the Bokor.

The Bokor is the “cause” of the dmg of Mackangdal. R7 sends dmg back to the “cause”. Thats how it works.

Sorry for the late answer. Since I have latency im thinking on this:

http://www.tosbase.com/tools/skill-simulator/build/q28pkxnwph/

In Rank 6 can go to Miko, Priest or Oracle. In rank 8 if I dont like Kabba much, then Taoist. But my stas would be at 280: 100 SPR to debuff crit resistance of almost all mobs to 0. And then 1:1 Int Con (150 CON 240 INT). I dont want a glass cannon full INT taoist, thats why Im planning on this Stats.

Would like more go to Kabba2, in rank 9 Kabba3 can have Ein Sof full time. And I like the slow tanky Merkabah.

You could stop with Con at around ~140, it’s plenty tanky for what you need, just make sure to get some Headgear with HP, etc. But more or less it makes sense, you would have to constantly top off your increased HP pool… I hope they fix this somewhere down the line in Kabbalist.

There is something about Melstis’s SP drain that I was told a while back. I think it is similar to Sorcerer Summons. If you have above 4k? SP Melstis (since it’s % SP drain) drains SP faster because it is taking larger amounts each tick; so do not go above it.

And even if you decide again Kab2, it’s a solid Taoist build as well.

So while I already on Kabbalist, there are some questionable mechanics as I read more replies here…

  • Does R7 only deal damage to owner or how it’s worked against other shared target/change target like Joint Penalty? We already know how Mackangdal betrayal but not for something like Guardian Saint. Odd enough, I don’t PvP so much but I got a Linker team in TBL and there is a surprise team wipe when the Linker cast JP to 3 opponents then all 3 die together (all of us are under R7 buff). I can’t see what skills they got reflected but the opponents are mostly DPS burst (Musket and Cata). So it’s not clear either they die by themselves or JP plays part on it…
  • How the R7 skill level affects the bonus damage? Earlier post here said 700% + skill level% but there are some claiming level 5 is 700% + (0,5 x 700) = 1050% instead…

For JP + R7. In theory, yes, the R7 return damage should be applied to all JP enemies. Because they just share damage. I rarely get linkers in my TBL, but I do notice when I do the enemy team explodes, but it’s hard to tell if that is my other teammates or R7.

For R7 yes. It’s 700% + (0.5 x 700%) = 1050% Damage Returned.

So for example… Cannon Blast does 10,000 Damage. R7 Returned Damage = [10,000 + (0.5 x 10,000] x 7 = 105,000 Damage.

Can someone solve this question for me? ;w;

  1. If I cast a Notarikon (level 2) on a monster and receive 4 as “answer”, knowing that “Applies a maximum of 2 times”, can I suppose that I actually receive 8 as “answer”? Like 4*2.

No. “Applies maximum of times” stands for how many targets it applies to (in the case of Notarikon and Gematria, note it may mean something else in different skills). It has a very tiny AoE that allows you to apply to many targets if skill level is above 1.

i guess the clone skill could be helpful on those quests that want you to kill 50 ghosts where only 1 ghost spawns every 50 minutes

It will be good if they last longer… they last probably around… 10 secs for a skill with a cooldown of 73 secs.

See 1:17

I would like to ask about extra attribute for ein sof skill, the one that make you gain less HP but got SP refill.

Can we toggle on/off this effect? Or we’re forever locked into this SP refill effect once we learn that attribute?

We can toggle ofc @GrimgarHaru

Double Chance working only one hit is not good and the cooldown don’t help too.
If changed to Self Buff and when attacks a monster which number is calculated activate the extra attacks but consumes a X % of SP basead in the number of extra hits given It would be an exellent skill . Then you can do extra damage while you have SP remaining. Basically transforms into SP Burst Skill.

In this momment I don’t have any concern in taking Kabbalist 2, If I take is only for farming drops .

At the moment I’m not sure whether should I take kabbalist c2 in hopes it will be better at Kab c3 or should I just choose another class.

Taoist offers some other support in the form of Dark sight and Tri disasters
Inquisitor offers support in another way like silence (up to 7 mobs) and increases attack splash damage in the form of breaking wheel.

I doubt we will see Rank 9 anytime soon. If anything, you’ll have plenty of time to remake a whole new character if Kabbalist c3 happens to be the new black.

If Kab c2 doesn’t get any buffs or skill balances, I will go as far as picking Inquisitor on my full support Kab c1. If nothing is changed, Kab c2 will be just as useful as Oracle c2 is now within the current 7 ranks content.

I also feel the role of “full support” is getting tougher and tougher. Even on a full support character, you can still do quests and handle yourself solo up to level 280 content (you struggle a bit against 100k hp mobs, but you can still kill them with time and dedication).

Now, after seeing that Kab 2 video where she fights two quest bosses at once and gets her buttie whooped, I’m starting to believe soloing quests on a full support character will no longer be possible. That’s a huge turnoff for me because I really don’t feel comfortable with the idea of “not being able to do a quest because I’m too weak for it”. Being a full support won’t matter if I can’t even get my character up to level 330.

So to me, picking Kab 2 is a huge waste. And not just a waste you can live with (much like Oracle c2 now) because things will get harder and you will be even weaker.

I’m in the same position as both of you @mrshadowccg and @Nekorin,
i really enjoy my Kabba 1 (my build is cleric2 - diev3 - oracle - kabba) and was hopping for a reasonnable C2 and i see some details that can be good, like R7 and Ein Sof lvl10.

THEN i compare it to his Plague 2 counterpart and … well, this is where the sh!t hits the fan, PD get everything buff and some great new skill, a big damage one and an outstanding debuff, on the other hand for kabba :

  • Merkabah (only offensiv skill) : doesn’t deal damage anymore, get a 10% damage buff (why just 10 ? it doesnt last and its a pain to follow the wheel) and a unnoticable defense buff.
Result : “why would i take this ?”

  • Duplicate : no xp, loots aren’t duplicate, duration : Skill Level + Calculated Number means 10sec max ? (no point in putting more than 1 point in it), doesnt work on elite.
Result : “Only work to farm trash WITH a friend to dps”

  • Multihit : need to invest 5 points to have a 50% to proc, recquire Notarikon AND gematria (with both invested points in them to catch multiple targets) i saw a lot of “0” or “1” while testing Gema so you need Nota to change the number again, recquire the target not to move too much or it fails.
So it’s a 3 or 4 momentum skill : Gema -> (maybe Nota) -> Multihit -> damage skill … oh yeah, what skill ? which cleric skill can make multihit worth it ? smite ? so once again : need a friend dps to deal damage instead of you ! that make two skill barely usable in solo (and screw you if you"re support)
Result : “WAY too expensive !”

this is plain disapointing … so the question is, like you both said, “is kabba 3 worth the shitty C2 ? or do i switch to something that is good right now ?” like inqui or taoist…

the only thing that was datamined for c3 is the 2 tiles ein sof …
and people are guessing that kabba 3 will have a Golem pet (with the sitty AI, not sure thats a good idea) since its pretty much close to the Kabbalist’s lore, but that’s pure speculation !

and since IMC doesn’t want to give us the full extend for each class when they show us a new one, we are playing blind !
and ktos is even worst since they have no other server to test the classes for them …

i like my char, i’ve invested a lot of silver in it (attribut and untradable equip) and i’m rly not fond of doing another clone just in case a c3 is worth it or not.

I have to agree here. Going kabbal c2 is downright sad at the moment.

Multi-hit would be my reason to become a c2 but the fact that spell is a one time debuff when triggered makes it sad. It would be good if the buff remains for X secs while you do DPS, making it reasonably good.

Merkabah attributes at duplicate, meh not that interested in them.

At the same time, reduce level remains at lv5 which pretty much my main focus as a kabbal.

Build wise, kabbal c1 had already fulfilled my goals: ein sof for huge boost in HP which is good for world boss hunts, sevenfold for defense and reduce level for world boss hunts.

I’m pretty much force to become an inquisitor to add DPS in my skills.

Wonder what would be kabbal c3 in the far future?

Yeah Kabb C2 isn’t worth taking with the current state of Rank 8. As we have next to nothing on C3 it’s hard to say where this class is actually going.

Kabba just became another Oracle. You take C1 for the stronger skills, but it can transition into other builds.

The term of “Full-Support” is hard to judge in this game as the role seems to cover anything from 0 Damage & All Buffs to Hybrid Damage & OK Buffs. I guess that is the beauty of the game that there are so many ways to build a role or idea. But it sucks they do not have a Rank Reset of some sort so people could alter builds. Wishful thinking I suppose.

I’ve already committed myself this far so I guess I’ll stick around and see where this goes.
