[Class] I Foresee an Oracle Thread

Hey guys! I’m doing a Priest3>Chap>Oracle3. I wanted to know where to put my remaining points at priest3.
i’ve maxed Aspersion and stone skin. I also have 10 blessing and sacrement to 3 if i remember. What skill would benefit to have more points in, heal, revive or res?
thx!

Since you’ve picked 10 blessing, then you might as well max it. Revive 3-4 is good enough seeing your tight skill point placement, and res 2 for revive attribute (more points is better though for faster cast time).

I’d personally advice against this build since you’re gonna have :

  • Insufficient healing capability (even with Mass Heal 10, since it has no overheat and misses a lot)
  • AA damage that fall off
  • Reliance on Daino Scroll
  • “Unusable” Safety Zone

All that solvable by changing Chaplain circle to Cleric c2…

even for a GvG, and little bit of PvP oriented?
thank you

Also, i don’t see how cleric2 helps that. Deploy Capella enables me to have stone skin up 100% of the time.
Between that 100% uptime Stone Skin for physical damage, Counterspell
for magic damage, and Foretell for both once Ireach rank 8, that
build has a ton of damage mitigation.

Sorry for my bad advice… yes. Cleric c2 is not an AA class and will not solve that issue. However you will be much superior healing and support.

As for PvP, we dont generally use Auto Attacks to kill our opponents, especially when you’re melee range and people are highly mobile … we also lack CC.

Stone skin without high SPR is not that noticeable. On TBL lv 1 is (80 + SPR × 0.5) which will become worse.
you are struggling with auto attack as well. which is why it’s highly advised go cleric 2 and traditional support build

Deploy Capella sounds nice on paper but it’s not that good on practice.

Reasons:

  • It has a reaaaaaaally long cast animation of your character building up the capella.

  • Costs 1k silver per cast

  • Mobs can break the capella easily

  • It’s static on the ground.

Counterspell also has a big issue which is it’s cooldown time.

At the moment, Oracle c1 to c3 is a very underwhelming class. It’s useful in pvp, but in pvm it gives you very little for what the class circles cost you.

I noticed it isnt as durable as Diev statues.
I think during boss situation, the capella will break after 1 AoE…

I’m on oracle chaplain so at some point I can agree,
Although you need to experience it by yourself as these skills are situational

yes it’s long. Never use this on normal grinding where you move around a lot. But it has better uses on defensive state where you need to guard one place. Best used on WB, grinas hill or uphill defence
If you really have to use this, use fade first or even safety zone.
I really don’t recommend this for random party.

Another reason you don’t put this often

Also another reason. But it’s pretty situational when and where you put this so it won’t be destroyed

Which is good on defense

Again, another reason, it’s situational when and where you put this so it won’t be destroyed.
Also, if you managed to make one and the buff comes, that’s all that matters. Your priest’s stone skin will be reusable

so overall, it’s hard to use on PvP and limited uses on PvM. GvG is still okay though

As for counter spell
I can pretty much agree for its cooldown. But it has other strong points (like, you can’t reversi this and has no hit limit)

foretell is flawed. it’s not 100% invul and the circles moves around

i think its because if u look up boss max hp and then how much damage it does. you can see that it does around 20.7% dmg of boss max hp. on upper gif boss has more than 20.7% hp left and on below gif less than 20.7% hp. more like around 11%.

Foretell is actually less flawed than you might think.
It has no hitlimit and the %chance of negating all incoming attack-effects is really high if at lvl 5/6 (around 60%).

The movement effect might look useless at first, but if you watch the skill video, you’ll get the impression that the low movement speed is actually not that bad at all; instead, it provides you a solid base if you’re a ranged character, as you don’t have to stay in one place to risk getting hit in the first place. The main flaw of Foretell is basically only its very short duration[~1/3 of its CD time], which makes it more of a downer if there isn’t going to be some Clap or attribute to fix this in the future.

A thing I’ve yet to test though[still Oracle C2 q.q] is if Fortell does only provide immunity to one player or if everyone in the AoE of the magic circle has the same chance to negate an attack. If it really chooses only one player, it might be worthless even if it has 24/7 uptime since most likely your party members will try to seize the effect for themselves <_<

Foretell is unlimited in how many people it can protect, just that the chance of it happening is equal across all. It’s hit or miss while you’re in the circle, if you want to take a chance at fate, go into it.

Foretell will offer the same block for everyone in the circle. I’m an Oracle c3 and it’s a lifesaver for when skills are on cool down.

In your opinion, do u think OracleC3 is a great support class? Information on it is so scarce D:

It’s non meta, but I will say that priest3ora3 is one of the best support for 315 dungeon-- counterspell immunes your party for 30 secs on both bosses as long as they are within the circle.

If the Twist of Fate gets fixed in iTOS it will also contend for ET/Solmiki support. There will always be others that can outperform you, and others who will want more convenient builds like DievPDs.

I’d say Oracle is basically a mixed class like Paladin, bringing several utility/support skills but also provides a little damage (at least for bossing via Twist of Fate) and utility (Death Sentence might become useful if IMC decides to bring really tough monsters with several 10ks of def/mdef and millions of HP).

The combination of Enchanter+Oracle might become meta later if people actually jump on the train of dodgepower. Dodging physical attacks provides way better protection than simply defending cause it also protects from status ailments and cc of the attack missing you.

A lvl 16 Agility+ a lvl 11 Arcane Energy can boost your Stamina by 129.
Add the base Stamina of 25 and you have as a bare minimum 154 Stamina. Multiply this with 1,6 and you get 246% additional dodge rate.

Now imagine having equip that boosts stamina like a good plate set and having done all those little side gimmicks to increase your stamina, you will reach amazing rates of like 400% dodge rate in total, which is ± enough to dodge everything physical thrown at you. Combine this with Foretell and Counterspell (and maybe Shrink Body) and you’ll never die, even without Safety Zone/Sterea Troph/Ausrine+Melstis combo.

It’s still a thing of the future, though, because Enchanter is still only at C1 currently.

Wow thanks for the insight and input!

400% dodge inc? That sounds really nice. Especially for high dex characters :open_mouth:

Im going to test out a diev3Orac3

Fortell makes supporting become a lil’ more ‘mobile’ i’d say.

How does the circle move anyway? Similar to Kabbalist’s Merkabah?

Just a fyi, death sentence has a damage limit (although was fixed two months ago). So don’t be surprised that at R9, it may not be able to kill monsters that have 1 mil hp (at least ones where it can be applied on).

As for Foretell, it’s too risky to use. Oracle 3 is beyond rare of a class, and the only uses you will see for it is more for GvG, then TBL after. Oracle 1 has usually been enough, that is unless IMC decides to have R9 mobs inflict multiple status effects in which PD would become the more important class.

From the developers blog. As you can see it’s not that bad at all. The AoE is also very large compared to Safety Zone, it’s ± as large as Counterspell.

Still hoping that Clap will increase this skills duration later on <_<
It would be the most-wanted skill ingame then (aside from Heal I believe) and make Oracle C3 a worthwhile journey of hardships…

About the Death Sentence… I want to cry after reading this. I hope IMC fixes this, as it’s just stupid to make a skill with 1 target, high CD and unable to kill monsters… I believe, though, that they will increase or remove the limit (similar to what they did with Twist of Fate; 199k -> 999k increase).
