[Class] Druid Class Thread

What bothers me most is that for p.atak builds it takes like 3 high ranks for a 25% dmg boost on 50% upkeep, with melstis, which take another 3 ranks and 5 m.powder, it is 80s on 120cd… Why do imc hate higher duration buffs? :tired:

Still, druid seems to be having a nice boost to.magical dmg… Unfortunately it still turns monster into plants, which decreases magic dmg by like 20% by itself of all players :tired: … This demi wolf boost, which is not even permanent, just doesn’t seem worth the effort.

Maaaybe if the new druid skills have a HUGE skill factor, to be worth investing 3 high ranks and 3 red card slots ( illitsworth)

this all looks very underwhelming tbh, esp lycan rework…

And I’ll reserve judgement for when they actually implement it in ktest, since quite a few tidbits will change along the way imo.

I mean, Choirtasma now also deals damage to enemies along with Carnivory. If anything, grass patches are going to be even more deadly, especially if you have property damage boosts like Aukuras running along with it.

Kinda hate how I have to use the half wolf form now for my inquisitor druid build. I like the aesthetic of the bigger wolf.

is current hengestone affected by clap?

again, depends on the ratios, but a c2 - kri3-dru3-miko could be quite a decent magic dps. provided that you have 3 illitsworth cards to neutralize the plant debuff, or maybe pd1 for healing factor to counter demi wolf hp drain

No more lycan sp drain?

I was just getting used to my full spr c2-diev3-monk1-d3 too

Man, if they were gonna go “skill lock out” lycan shoulda been a short cd with a limited action count. Change into a werewolf with (let’s say) 10 charges. Using a werewolf skill would consume charges and each skill would have different charge costs and no cd. For example a scratch would cost 1 charge allowing 10 consecutive scratches while a howl would cost 5 charges for only 2 consecutive howls. The transformation would end after all charges are spent.

That way the lockout wouldn’t be so bad (you would have control of how long you stayed in it via skills instead of just turning it off) but the transformation would stay meaningful with buffs attached to it.

Rants aside, how would a hybrid AA/caster do with perma demi wolf via melstis and laima? From this we find out the AA comes with a 5% chance to bleed and the AA animation is changed to a diff animation.

The animation alone makes it such a strong skill. Such wow, much strong. On one hand, if you focus on AA (daino + sac + cafrisun + ench fire) you can’t crit and are forfeiting the added crit rate. On the other hand you are gaining more (maybe? I dunno) out of the 30% magic damage inc than 20% physical damage increase. Besides what physical cleric can you really fit in ranks 2-5 and 9? Paladin3 (without breaking wheel)? Monk2 (without breaking wheel)? Monk1-inqui1?

You know, if Seeded Bomb behaves just like R7F ( Affects Pears etc. ), this would be good, or if they provide knockback utility.

Imagine walking into a landmine LUL

Can’t wait to see the new Lycan in action. I have mixed feelings about it, full Lycan locking you out from any non-wolf skills looks like old Rune of Giants, but let’s see if the buffs given to wolf skills will make up for it.

New lycan is strong. New druid in general is strong.

I like the demi-human form  but I don’t know if it’s really worth it going c3 for it though. Any build ideas?

Those skill factors on Lycan are looking solid.

The demi-wolf form seems to be able to hold its own. Doesn’t come with the SP drain of full Lycan either. Can’t tell if it keeps the free KB/KD protection though. I wonder if they’ll have a male version or if we’ll all get stuck RPing as Ranma 1/2 lol. Good thing is it’s a toggle so you can always switch back and forth depending on what the situation calls for.

As far as builds go, I’d imagine you could run with something like Cleric2 -> Kriv3 -> Druid3 -> Tao. You’d have Daino to make that new AA useful alongside your other magic damage.

Any word on whether Druids will get a Rank Reset NPC when the changes come out or are we stuck with just skill and attribute changes?

here you go

(it’s awful, but every male model in Tos is awful so whatever)

Oh good lord :scream:

I guess they couldn’t get everything right but geez. They couldn’t give us some kind of variation on the Barbarian costume? It fits the theme without looking…like that.

Ok … those abs and that face do not go together.

I plan to test cleric1-kriv3-deiv1-druid3-inqui1 if they decide to give out resets. Krivis got their heal buffed (I think) in that you can invest in stats to make the heal stronger. Druids also got a heal from chortasmata. I’m guessing that would be enough on a non healing dedicated hybrid AA/caster. Like @Timeshadow said, the dps skills seem to be able to hold their own

@Di3rn has been posting healing skill vids in the general discussion. I like what I’m seeing so far for krivis druid healing. It certainly can’t compare with cleric priest but aukuras and chortasmata are ok off heals.
cleric priest
krivis druid

So @Di3rn, is it right to assume these forms of healing benefit those that don’t build for healing power more than those that do build for healing power?

Friendly Units, that’s all I wanna hear. Druid3-Inquistor for Homing Missile Build!

Comparing to Previous-Previous Druid, the skill factors were increased by +400%. But I don’t think I’ll use Full-lycan on PvP, except for the 3s Invulnerability, could be useful at some point.

Half wolf looks cute and all but they nearly doubled the damage of all full wolf skills. Half cooldown too, with a 50% damage buff.

The F skill will be stupidly powerful since it doesn’t have AoE atk ratio limitations and hits a huge area around you.

Really sucks I just resetted my druid 3 to paladin.

Well they HAD to increase werewolf skills. They re-introduced the lock-out. The skills you do get in the form have to be worth losing everything else.

Yes, also help dps builds that cant take priest/c2 or 3 a lot.

The beauty of the new full wolf/half wolf Lycanthropy is that we really don’t have to choose. As far as I’m aware, Lycan is going to keep its mixed stat scaling so you won’t have to build around one or the other.

Sure, you can construct a build that’s designed to take singular advantage of one form at the expense of the other but why would you do that? Just toggle the attribute on or off depending on what you need at the time.

Ok so, what use will have the full lycan form? Sure is strong and you’re going druid c3 because you want to go druid c3, but the aoe damage in general seems better with half wolf +other class skills. It’s like playing as a sorcerer’s summon. Other cleric skills though have a general larger aoe and i belive it could work better over time then full wolf form’s damage.
The thing is that they really should allow full worlf+druid skills. If not, then half-wolf is “enough” (the cd tho ;-; )
I’ll be changing my pd3 back to it’s original form lol probably to chaplain druid3 + daino scrolls huh
Still, idk about this new wolf form. Pvp is kind of suicide (without the other cleric rank’s skills you know?), high damage content… Probably the same? Solmiki well, i have a sorcerer so no ty.
-where would you use it?
ANYWAYS i didnt see a player going full potential werewolf yet so all suppositions

Edit: actually no, the demi-wolf is a hell of a buff! And the girl one is cute. Krivis c3, hi.
