yep not really, chaplain becomes more of a battle support with last rites, but other than that you can pick different ones like cleric 3 or even paladin for a true full support lol, by which i mean pure heal and defense buffs
As I reach lvl 177 and circle 6 (finally), this is how my chaplain plans to pan out. Right now I am 3 cir priest and will be 2 cir paladin in one lvl. I am taking paladin cir 2 to get Smite, Restoration, and Resist Elements to lvl 10 each. Ignoring, for better or worse, Turn Undead and Conversion. Around lvl 224 I was told I will hit my 7th circle and be able to become a chaplain. My stats by then will be roughly 80 100 60 120 and 40. I have already capped out Int at 60 and Dex at 40 (plus bonuses from side quests and collections.) I always use a mace weapon and shield, the chance to stun plus the atk and magic atk on one weapon is too nice to bother switching back and forth for any sword I have come across yet. And the shield adds more p. def I do not want to lose. My end goal is to be a chaplain that is a buff bot and highly durable with okay dmg through the few spells I have and auto attacks enhanced with buffs. In boss fights it will not hurt my feels to stand outside the fight setting up buffs and resing players versus doing dps if need be. Not sure how well this will all pan out in a min/max setting, but it has been fun so far. Not sure what I will do if I get a dumbbell, I think I will still cap STR at 80 and count 110 as 80 if that happens much the way I have handled collections. Now it’s time for the long haul to 224.
Edit, I found out Dumbbell is only a buff, someone was trying to sell it like it was permanent… I might play around with the 10% circle gains in Int and Str as well as my OCD has kicked in and if I give myself three more Int points I can get an extra point at 7th circle. Dunno.
