Not sure if this have been done here before but I really wanted to calculate exactly how does Effigy modifier apply, here goes the math:
effigy base damage 633
effigy enhance attribute 60%
hexing bonus 30% dark damage attribute ON
effigy level 15 x2,58~3,56
matk = 1467
property = 153+66+97+24 = 340
magical amplification = 132
mob mdef = 288
hexing = -32 mdef
tmdef = 256
matk - tmdef = 1211
tmatk - tmdef = 1551~1683
final damage with no multiplier = 2183~2315
final calculated damage with multiplers 1,3 * 1,6 for normal hits = 4540~4815
Testing mob: Blue Spion Archer
1st test
1st damage = 4724
2nd damage = 4615
3rd damage = 11193
2nd test
1st damage on = 4713
2nd damage on = 4578
3rd damage on = 9274
IF the multiplier from the skill description was about the full damage, the results should have been:
4540~4815 x 2,58~3,56 = 11713 ~ 17141 (WRONG)
which is obviously not the way it works by the results, so I thought it might apply to base damage, and the values I reached were too little, I’ve tried with (matk + atk properties), but the values were still 1k+ above the real values, so I ended up believing it is applied to only (matk-mdef)xmultiplier, instead of all damage or total matk+atk properties:
Applying only to matk:
(2,58~3,56 x (1211) + 0~132 + 340 + 633) * (1,3) * (1,6)
(3124~4311 + 973~1105) * (2,08)
(4097~5416) * (2,08)
= 8521~11265 (RIGHT)
Applying multiplier to (matk + atk ppt + mamp):
(2,58~3,56 x (1211 + 340 + 0~132) + 633) * (2,08)
(2,58~3,56 x (1551~1683) + 633) * (2,08)
(4002~5991 + 633)*2,08
(4635~6624)*2,08
= 9640~13778 (WRONG)
aproximate level simulations with 3k matk, 500 properties+50%mamp, still 60% attribute (just make the values 25% bigger for 100% attributes):
level 15
8,6k
18,4k~24k max
3hits = 35,6~41,2k
100%~100%
level 8
8,1k
14,9k~20,1k
3hits = 31,1~36,3k
87%~88%
level 1 3k matk
7,6k
11,4k~15,8k
3hits = 26,6~31k
75%~75%
TL;DR, Effigy’s multiplier is only applied to raw matk, not properties, m amp or base damage.
PS.: Damballah is better if you can control the ground, parties can work in it’s favor or outright break it.
