[Class] Bokor Thread

I am actually doing that tosbase build Cleric 2 > Bokor 2 > Diev 1 > x > PD1. EXCEPT I’m replacing Pardoner with Oracle 1 for more utilities. When I chose to follow this build I was thinking of making an independent character that I could use for solo-farming (starting fresh in ToS INA). Am I screwed?

My second character will probably full CON PyroLinkerChrono :x

What other fun DPS clerics are there? Cleric 2 > Diev 3 > x > PD? Taoist seems fun, but I don’t really like Krivis. Ironically as Cleric I prefer to contribute to party by bringing utilities and DPS, not just sitting there placing heal tiles on the ground.

Thanks for all the useful info. :3

Hi

First of all thanks for the thread.

I have a lot of questions about bokor and cleric build.

Im a bit lost with all this possibilités and all the build you can found on internet.

Even if i love the skin and the lore of the PD i dont want to build one cause i dont like OP mainstream character.

a) So i want to go bokor but more like no zombie build, i want a dps clreric:

  • Why or How do you chose to stay at Bokor 2 or to go to bokor 3?
  • Krivis 1 is it good on end game?
  • I saw a lot of Cleric 2, is it good?

b) What can i do after Bokor 2 or 3?

Druid is it funny to play?

I found this for a dps kabbalist what do you think?
Cleric 2 > Krivis 3/Bokor 3/Dievdirby3 > Oracle/Druid/Miko > Kabbalist > Taoist

So what take rank 8 if i go druid? Druid 3? (I dont really like this circle, maybe kabbalist 1 or taoist?)
If i go kabbalist > Taoist?

I want to create an other Cleric to be more support. Is it better to “save” Kabbalist for this character and play druid for dps character? (i dont want to play the same classes).

Thx
Sorry for my english

Not sure if this have been done here before but I really wanted to calculate exactly how does Effigy modifier apply, here goes the math:

effigy base damage 633
effigy enhance attribute 60%
hexing bonus 30% dark damage attribute ON
effigy level 15 x2,58~3,56

matk = 1467
property = 153+66+97+24 = 340
magical amplification = 132
mob mdef = 288
hexing = -32 mdef
tmdef = 256
matk - tmdef = 1211
tmatk - tmdef = 1551~1683
final damage with no multiplier = 2183~2315
final calculated damage with multiplers 1,3 * 1,6 for normal hits = 4540~4815

Testing mob: Blue Spion Archer

1st test
1st damage = 4724
2nd damage = 4615
3rd damage = 11193

2nd test
1st damage on = 4713
2nd damage on = 4578
3rd damage on = 9274

IF the multiplier from the skill description was about the full damage, the results should have been:

4540~4815 x 2,58~3,56 = 11713 ~ 17141 (WRONG)

which is obviously not the way it works by the results, so I thought it might apply to base damage, and the values I reached were too little, I’ve tried with (matk + atk properties), but the values were still 1k+ above the real values, so I ended up believing it is applied to only (matk-mdef)xmultiplier, instead of all damage or total matk+atk properties:

Applying only to matk:

(2,58~3,56 x (1211) + 0~132 + 340 + 633) * (1,3) * (1,6)
(3124~4311 + 973~1105) * (2,08)
(4097~5416) * (2,08)

= 8521~11265 (RIGHT)

Applying multiplier to (matk + atk ppt + mamp):

(2,58~3,56 x (1211 + 340 + 0~132) + 633) * (2,08)
(2,58~3,56 x (1551~1683) + 633) * (2,08)
(4002~5991 + 633)*2,08
(4635~6624)*2,08

= 9640~13778 (WRONG)

aproximate level simulations with 3k matk, 500 properties+50%mamp, still 60% attribute (just make the values 25% bigger for 100% attributes):

level 15
8,6k
18,4k~24k max
3hits = 35,6~41,2k
100%~100%

level 8
8,1k
14,9k~20,1k
3hits = 31,1~36,3k
87%~88%

level 1 3k matk
7,6k
11,4k~15,8k
3hits = 26,6~31k
75%~75%

TL;DR, Effigy’s multiplier is only applied to raw matk, not properties, m amp or base damage.

PS.: Damballah is better if you can control the ground, parties can work in it’s favor or outright break it.

A question regarding Damballa. Do u guys use the increase chance of zombification attribute? How significant is the extra 10% chance to resummon destroyed zombies to warrant an increase in cd from 10sec>17sec?

@hubbiesg

Attribute is good for party grinding where knockbacks can break the usefullness of some skills and Damballah damage ain’t as needed (as Effigy’s since you need to cast your support skills), for any place where you don’t need static mobs (like soloing or even Uphill maybe) you can go without the attribute.

It’s still 15 AoE hits with 200% multiplier, 1k base damage, x200% max attribute x130% dark multiplier with hexing every 10/17 seconds.

Has anyone tried a bokitor? They say inquisitor’s MM applies a debuff that adds damage to all sources of damage. I would assume that includes summons (skulls and zombies).

–EDIT–

Ok, I found an inquisitor with MM to test with and I was very pleased with the results. 400 skull damage went to 1400 on some squirrel in svalphinghas forest. The same pretty much happened for zombies.

Not sure if i understood it well
This mean that effigie lvl 15 hasnt à big difference with effigie lvl10?

How do you chose between bokor 2 and bokor 3?

It’s easy:
if you want to specialize in zombies, you need Bokor 3 because of Ogouveve, Damballa and higher Zombify.
If you’re just using Hexing/Effigy/Samediveve 24/7 then you may be better off with Bokor 2 since Circle 3 is basically just an upgrade for zombie users.

Another point to check is if you’re treating Effigy as a filler skill later on or not.
E.g. my Oracle C3 build will have only Effigy and Damballa as reliable sources of damage, so I had to take Bokor to C3 no matter what.
If you’re going to take a stronger class already at R 6-8 with better-scaling skills, it might not be necessary to take C3 at all and better invest a hidden class into that slot [looking at Miko e.g.].

Okey Thanks for your answer :slight_smile:

I just made the calculations to check how does the modifier work but IMO:

Effigy level matters, just not as much as people tend to think.

Despite that, with PD 2 DPS you don’t get much from spamming effigy to be honest. But the fact is, with good weap/INT and high attributes Vapours+Inci can kill pretty much anything and got Overheat and decent CD.

Remember any “summons” are damage mitigation, Bwa is the best CC skill in the game and gets way better high level of Zombify. Mackangdal and Samedi are also pretty good, Ogou is a large AoE debuff, Zombify is good on that matter too.

Damballah is good because it has low cooldown, Bokor 2 will eventualy fall off because spamming effigy won’t be worth the time of a Cleric so exploding zombies for 200% +1k damage each in instant bursts every 10~17 seconds becomes way better damage.

People usualy think the problem of Damballah is the quantity of Zombies but honestly, if you generaly use Damballah as a “finishing” move you will always have a few Zombies left and generaly make at least 5+ explosions, even if you have like 2 zombies.

I literaly use no Zombie Capsule and get to use Damballah in every single confrontation during grinding, which people tend to think is somehow hard to do, I’m still at Storage though because of character level.

Miko quest takes a lot of time to do, if you can really manage Damballah and Zombify well I honestly think it can out-DPS hamaya for general PvE, not very useful at bosses though.

My main is a 321 Cleric C2, Bokor C2, Diev C1, Oracle C1, PD C2 I made myself after much consideration, and I love it. Have had little to no issue with soloing anything. Hell, solo cleared every map exploration on my own as well as the Caverns questlines. I tend to shy away from commom “META” builds.

Like my Cleric C2, Priest C3, Chap, Oracle, Inquisitor Dex build.

PD2 is able to solo with most builds anyways, so any dps oriented one can do it, my guildmate c2 p1 diev3 pd2 did it as well, much more easier with a bokor2

Wow that’s the exact same build I have! I’m still lvl160 now, finishing up DP. Glad to know that the build works out for you!

If I may ask, do you have advice for gears? I have my eye on Catacombs Club, but it’s so expensive… @_@ about 3~4x the price of Superior Corona which is a lvl220 weapon. Currently gathering funds for Roxona set as well. :x

I am currently using Grynas Set (Cause I’m cheap and lazy) and a +8 Superior Corona Rod while I wait for my Pract RNG box to give me some luck to make my 315 Wand. I wouldn’t worry about Cata. I have one, but I generally only use it til I can get Corona.

Yeah, I have always been a fan of Bokor, and after about 3 different builds I finally built one I liked a lot. I stay away from builds from ToS cause they’re mostly poorly thought out lol. My issue with most Bokor PD builds is Pardoner. I just don’t like, and thankfully it’s uneeded.

The mix of classes helps with the build and it’s survivability.
You have many “oh sh’t buttons”. Shield, Mackdangal, Counterspell, Prohecy, fade, Healing Factor ect. I chose Oracle vs Pardoner because of Utility and it allowed me to cap the Damaging abilities of PD instead of the buffs, debuffs.

Yeah the problem with Cata is, it costs about 2m+ on ToS INA, while Corona is only 400k, and considering the fact that I’ll only be using Cata from 170~220+… I’m not sure if I can justify the price. :\ Do you have any good alternatives in mind? Right now I’m using Krausas Mace +5.

I don’t like the Pardoner pick either. Besides, Oracle is cuter and I love me some Prophecy and Counterspell. :3

Do you have any tips for grinding/farming silver at around lvl160?

Thanks so much for the help!

I actually bought my Catacombs Club for about 5m on Klaipeda. Generally you can just stick with Krausas Mace til 220. Not a huge deal as mobs aren’t really all that hard to deal with pre-230. (For the most part)

As far as Silver, I’ve never really been good at farming. Lol Generally I run the 145 solo, and or farm DP.

Any good uses for Tet these days? Or would that one point be better of on something else?

Tet + inqui MM skill. Pretty good.

Not going Inqui but explain anyway. I’m curious

Inquisitor has a debuff that makes mobs take additional damage equal to their magical atk.

Every mob at rank 8 has 1k+ magic atk (regardless if they’re really magic-users or not), so basically it’s a 1k extra dmg per hit to Tet Mamak and zombies damage.
