My problem is that iā€™m too lazy to use my zombies sometimesā€¦ as a Bokor 3 / PD , i usually met the mob, Hex them, Pandemic to spread to several and them i killā€™em using Incinerate and Effigy. (and forgot zombify , or make zombies and let they roam free),

With zombies made, u have to do the Bwa (conga dance) to control them, circle the mob, use Damballa , bwa again to make they go to the Damballa area , and Zombify the area for new zombies .

iā€™m not saying Damballing is Hard per se, just time demanding and needs practice to timing your zombie skills with others skills, specially in parties where the mob kill and walk is fast.

you can just throw a tet at damballa then use bwa kayiman, they wil lall run t the damballa and explode

Artie Snake +8, Trans 2. Nothing OP here, BokDoc doesnt depend on weapon that much since noone expects you to be the top DPS anyways (you still can be tho). Stats are almost full INT with a bit of CON.

Thatā€™s the most fun part about Bokor isnā€™t it o.o

Well, contrast to you, iā€™m lazy to use Effigy because of the mana. But when i go solo, since the mobs are not many, main damage is from Effigy and Incinerate. But my combo is always : Safezone -> Divine Might -> Zombify -> Hex -> Pandemic -> Incinerate -> Cure -> Effigy. It needs much time to do all that things.:imp: If there are only 1 or 2 mobs, I dont use Zombify :wink:

So i love Damballa. I hit bokor3 and Iā€™ve been trying it out.

So now Iā€™m closing in on Rank 6. The long debate on which class to choose that has no real answer. Iā€™ve pretty much narrowed my choices down to the ktos meta Pardoner vs Druid. Iā€™m going pure PVE with 50/50 on solo and party play.

I figured Druids carnivory matches the same playstyle as zombify, but whatā€™s holding me back is the subpar damage from C1. If I want to focus on dps, it seems like an okay replacement for Pardoner. What would seal the deal, is if we knew R9 and R10 classes suck, then hengestone from Druid C3 would substantially increase the Damballa and effigy damage, but gambling on future content is a big nono. Is Druid C1 additional damage really worth the whole rank?

Iā€™ve read that Pardoner might not be as helpful R8 as mobs would generally be wiped before DE is needed, DE sucks in crowded WB fights, and PD2 dps 100% uptime is achievable without DE. Dispeller scrolls can be bought. MDEF buff isā€¦ Okay, but nothing crazy. Indulgentia would be more useful for pvp.

TLDR; What do you guys think of Druid C1 for rank 6? Pure PVE; some solo, some party play. Meta tells me to go Pardoner, but Iā€™m curious if Druid would be a bad option.

As for rank 6:

Druid1:
The damage is nice, but since itā€™s a hit limit skill and canā€™t hit flying itā€™s of very limited use. Telepath can be nice for aoe heavy builds, but not bokor.
Imo druid should only be taken if you want to go for druid2 (transform + sterea trofh) or druid3 (stonehenge).

Pardoner:
I actually got this wrong before as well, but pardoner nor pd2 do not have 100% upkeep at c2 due to how overheat works. Aka it goes into cd when you use both charges, but one charge is double the cd time.

  • Incineration is 1s per skill level + 2s per debuff. With 5 debuffs it can be kept up 24/7. (20s cd, 10 + 5x2 = 20.).

  • Vapors is base 10s with +1.5s per skill level. It canā€™t be kept up 24/7 by yourself. (38s cd, - 19 = 19s downtime). Discern evil adds 10 seconds to it.

Mind you, unboosted incineration + vapors can kill 250k mobs already. So pardoner is only noticeable vs et, special mobs and bosses.

Priest1:

Blessing and resurrect are actually quite nice on such a build imo.
+400 dmg per hit when both incin/vapors hit at least twice a second each is also quite noticeable.

  • you get a res
  • least amount of dmg.
  • boosts teammate dmg.

Tl/dr:
Rank 6 doesnā€™t matter too much for such a build imo. Esp due to how poor pd2ā€™s are versus world bosses anyway.

  • Pardoner only works after every second cast and then adds 10s of vapors = 10 x 2 = 20 hits of 5k dmg? 100k. Maybe a few seconds of incinerate depending on debuff rotation.
    Thus pardoner is best aoe dmg.

  • Priestā€™s blessing is +200 dmg to every hit, and with 2 casts of incin + vapors thatā€™s a total of (19x2, 14x2 = 66 x2 = 132 hits ) 26k range.
    Thus priest is lowest dmg, but far more supportive.

  • Druidā€™s carnivory is 30 hits of 5k dmg each = 150k, with just a 30s cd too so you can almost get twice off in the same time.
    Thus druid is best single target dmg vs nonflying.

I definitely priortize aoe dps over single target, especially since this isnā€™t a WB slaying build. Iā€™ll stick to the meta.

As for the video, no problem. Iā€™ll make one when Iā€™m a bit higher so that i can do a better show case.

What about Oracle? c2-b3-oracle-pd2 Is it useful? Iā€™m currently c2-b2 and thinking about c2-b2-x-x-pd2. Is c2-b2-pardoner-oracle-pd2 decent? If someone experienced could share pros and cons it would be much appreciated :slight_smile: Thx!

I picked Oracle for Rank 6. Well, I think my choice is not a wise choice, but Iā€™m satisfied with it.

  1. I max Arcane Energy. Someone says it sucks, you can pick 1 point on Arcane and 5 point in CounterSpell, instead
  2. 1 skill on Change: nothing to say about this skill, but you only need 1. About the Change Attribute: Wining. You need 6m silver to max 50 lv. This attribute is very useful to hunt item from small mob (medium and large mobs cant be Change). If the drop rate of this item is not too low (>=1%), iā€™m sure you can get it when you change into a white shining mob. Ofc, you can spam Change to kill white mob for the extra silver. Well, I think 6m silver for attribute is worthy.
  3. Max Prophecy: I think this skill is very useful. Lv1 Ailement is enough to PvE. When you reach rank 7, casting Prophecy + Healing Factor of PD will make you immortal (dont need to spend skill points on bloodletting if you dont PvP).
  4. CounterSpell: I only pick 1 on Counterspell. I ussually use it to cure myself or my teamate. I dont know much about this skill, sometimes It cures, sometimes not. CounterSpell is a alternate for Fumigate of PD.

In conclusion, you pick Oracle if you want to save points for PD (Prophecy can replace bloodletting in PvE) and you want to hunt items and silver. If you want to focus on PvE, no PvP, you can pick Oracle to save points for PD and spend more point on Pandemic (usually, they only get 1 for Pandemic). Another problem when you pick Oracle is you have too much skills to use (All Oracle skills are useful and I pick all). So pick Oracle if you have good APM (action per minute). (Now, I have about 25 skills in total, and when I go Dungeon, I usually use 17 skills normally).

Pardoner is a great class for rank 6, It will support for PD c2 too. Moreover, iā€™m not sure, but I think Pardonner can draft the Zombify skill. I dont need to spend too many points on Zombify and cast the skill scroll of Zombify instead. I can have 2 zombify circles in 1 time, easier to def Uphill.
Now, Iā€™m waiting for the skill reset to reset my skill. I will max my Zombify to def Uphill better, hehe.

Remember: If you only pick C2 Bokor so dont go Zombie Bokor. No damballa, zombie will be useless.

I excluded oracle because it was more akin to a damage comparison and cliff mentioned it as a PvE build.

Iā€™m not personally familiar with oracle, but from what i read/seen about it:

Counterspell is an amazing dmg prevention skill, but works only vs magic dmg and removes enemy tiles/objects to boot. Incredibly useful for PVP as long as youā€™re not fighting archers/swordsman only.

For PvE however, it isnā€™t always that super given how common physical dmg mobs are and how little they use tiles/circles/objects. Shines vs the magic et bosses though.

Prophecy is almost a pure PVP skill, as dispeller scrolls have the same function in PvE.
However, for PVP itā€™s the longest lasting condi prevention buff but sadly only works vs tier 1 conditions and has a hit limit.
Esp nice when combined with bloodletting for pvp.

Change still has some use to help out druid2/3 builds in getting otherwise unavailable transformations.
But due to the new special enemy types it canā€™t be used on most enemies anymore. Which is especially annoying at later levels when they become incredibly common.

Forecast is quite helpful when it works, but often bugs out and can be bought in scroll form.

Ressetting & Clairvoyance help a bit with farming, but not a lot due to not affecting bosses or cubes which hold majority of the best loot.

Arcane Energy isnā€™t really anything special, and you can buy scrolls of it. Bit of sp & stamina canā€™t hurt though.

tl/dr: itā€™s one of the more defensive r6 options you can pick for a mere 1 rank investment. Shines mostly in pvp vs clerics/wizards but isnā€™t to shabby for pve either.

Hey guys.

What do you think of Pardoner for Bokor-PD2 builds for r8 release?

Does discerning evil gives significant increase in DPS? Since youre only able to DE up to 5 enemies and with the new pandemic, you could easily DoT 10+ mobs at once (wont be able to DE all mobs). No doubt boss killing would be good.

Is there a better choice rather than going Pardoner? Im planning to make a Bokor C2 - Pard C2 - PD C2. But DEā€™s limit only up to 5 enemies doesnt convince me enough.

Iā€™m not a doctor yet, but i thought if you cast DE prior to Pandemic then you would bypass the 5 limit? Is that incorrect? :o

For example:
-Hex for 19 seconds on 2 mobs.
-Cast DE which brings it to 29 seconds.
-Cast Pandemic which would spread 29 sec Hex to whatever your Pandemic limit is.

As for Pardoner C2, I donā€™t see what C2 would bring to the table. Level 10 simony might be interesting for Cure scrolls since i read they have a separate cd. Discerning evil, in my opinion, doesnā€™t need to be as high as +20 seconds.

Iā€™m personally taking only one rank in Pardoner, and i thought long and hard about it; even considered skipping Pardoner all together. I basically spent some time reading/asking through here and watching R8 videos which led me to take 1 circle of Pardoner. I specifically watched how a bokor would use Discerning Evil and judge if it was a waste.

I guess it comes down to your aim of your build. What you prioritize in your experience should determine what R5-R6 works best.

Hmm good point. If thats true, I could Hex+Vapor+Incineration, DE, Pandemic.

But Incineration wont get spread by Pandemic.

Any Bokor-Pard-Doc here can give out their regular rotation with DE?

My apologies, i edited my previous post. Here is a video of 290 party play. You can get the feel of his dps rotation by watching. I chose party play as there are quite a handful of solo pve videos out there. His build is bokor3/pardoner, but the core skills are bokor2/pardoner, the 3rd circle of bokor could be swapped depending on your preference.

could we like sub out bokor 2 on build and focus on PD skills for daamge instead? all those rhevisan accessories coming out gonna knock effigy down sooner or later. for PVP builds

You can swap out bokor entirely if you wanted.

With pd2 vapors is a better preparation for incineration, and they both deal plenty of damage.

Ideally do try and get an invuln of some kind though. (Ausrine/Revive) to ensure you survive when trying to get close.

Though bokor is still quite good in pve ofc.

I hit class 5 and still cannot decide between c2-b2-pard-oracle-pd2 and c2-b3-pard-pd2. Would be really thankful if someone could answer a few questions for me)
Iā€™m planning to have an all-around build (possible with future skills reset) which would be both useful and interesting to play. I most games before I preferred pvp over pve but for TOS - the anti social mmo I have one ~230 character which has never been asked to join a guild so I have some concerns regarding pvp but still enjoy pve. Grinding millions of monsters seems relaxing after my systems administrator work days :smiley:

Just to shorten further discussions I fully understand that the current pve dps meta is c2-b2-diev-pard-pd2. I understand why it is meta but still I simply donā€™t like diev1, which, for my taste, better suits for c2-diev3-druid3 (which is one of my next planned builds, if the game survive so far :slight_smile: Iā€™m a pretty lazy playerā€¦ and level my chars quite slow)
Also one extra debuff with Ogouveve

First of all could we please discuss the simplier build:
c2-b3-pard-pd2
From my opinion the strong point of it is synergy between bokor, pardoner and pd. The second thing I like here are zombies and future BOOMs of them) I understand that they are no so usefull but still they are funny and make ā€œanti social mmoā€ play less lonely :smiley:

DE is out of question, this is the skill pardoner is taken for both builds.
Magic def is what you always want
The main question for me is Simony and Indulgentia
Indulgentia can be useful for both pve and pvp for curing the allies. Probably 2points for it would be enough to cure 5 allies. I assume this skill is not for damage.
But simony is total puzzle for me. As far as I understood the max level of 5 for this build will allow me to create scrolls with level 5 skills. What actually would I be able to scroll in this build?
Cure 5? this is a nice skill but not sure if itā€™s better than full MDef skill. Zombify would be nice but in all the databases I found that none of bokor skills canā€™t be Simonied. Could someone experienced advise which skills for bokor and pd I would be able to scroll? for cure only Iā€™d probably leave 0 points in simony.

Here bokor would be less strong, zombies are cosmetic only, but oracle would bring some utility: I was a few times in dungeons with Oracle and was really enjoying 100% uptime of Prophecy. There are also farm skills here and strong counterspell skill.
Iā€™m seeking to understand how less dps would this build have comparing with the 1st one.
It seems a bit more interesting to play, but only a bit as BOOMing zombies seems funny thing to do)

I have not thought hard about optimal doctors for the both builds so my draft unlikely to be optimal. Please feel free to share any improvements of it.
