Class balance for a dead game. Can we talk about it? Can we? Do you still play Tree of Savior?

Which is why lowering the %scale of target’s hp and raising the contribution from INT is good for heal, especially in a game where almost all other skills are flat damage instead of % damage.

which is why i suggest we change that, most games healing and dps are needed.

we should buff tanking ablities of swordsmen while nerfing the survivability of certain classes

or just make tanking in swordsman so good that its wnated and not needed

but what about str clerics? this would make people hate monks even more

Don’t really think it will affect that much if they tweak the formula properly. The current bonus comes from both INT and HP recovery. If the new formula is tweaked properly, it will also make HP recovery a much more attractive stat for clerics. Paladins get the most buff from this cuz their Restoration adds HP recovery + doubles the bonus from the (INT+hp recovery) part of Heal.

The main point is, if most of the skills are flat damage based, a pure % based damage mitigation skill sticks out like a sore thumb. It makes no sense when a level 280 deal 10k damage to 40k hp player only to have a level 1 cleric with 1 point in Heal heal back everything.

Heal is still fine and this skill was nerfed already since CBT Heal is 10% lol…

Also ToS only has 2 proper Healing skill: heal and mass heal. If you played RO then Heal complain was valid since we got like 15 healing spells across all classes…

Then it would be a dramatic change in game mechanics then, but I don’t dislike the idea. I think having the need for tanks is a good thing, at least better than not having the need for tanks imo.

However that doesn’t mean all swordsmen should be tanks, also not all clerics should be healers. All the damage oriented swordsman classes should be all about damage. Monk and similar classes should be all about damage as well.

Is that so? That would bash SPR based supports that have no INT cause many buffs scale with SPR.

Well, the said formula can be tweaked to incorporate stats from spr, int as well as hp recovery too, just like how blessing is changed to receive from both INT and SPR.

This also makes it good for other classes in the cleric tree. Krivis can directly affect how much they can heal with Aukuras, Paladins with their restoration. HP recovery gear becomes a stat worth considering for clerics. At least much better than we are just denoted by whether we have cleric c2 in our build.

AOE potion sling for ToS Alche pls!

This is mostly due ToS’s bad minmax stat priority imo.

yeah sure, lets buff the classes you play. Everything else its fine…

I think class balance doesn’t able to save the game, i mean they are issue and need to rework.
But it is not really the reason for players to come back

However, the level progressing and achievement is,
Team Achievement is something they really need implement.
For leveling, i think players still interested with the game and they want come back and reach to rank8
However, the current leveling is problematic.
Dungeon - Boring
Mercenary Mission - Boring
Open Map Grind - Too rely on party combination to be effective
Questing - Boring

I’m not sure how to do it or re-innovate, even GW2 still see its struggle after survive 4 years, but it probably the core of problem of MMORPG that keep at dusk, while the MOBA allow you to access main contents while you are leveling at the progress.

Another thing is Guild, guild form a relationship that keep players encourage each other to stay in the game.
However, the guild entry is difficult and majority players are still guildless.
The talt donation requirement to unlock more content as well
Those event are bugged and unsolved since long time ago
The guild UI and management is difficult
The guild function available now is not that fun

All of my WAT. I hope you are talking about PvE, because there are tons of full CON wizard/kinos and they have enough damage to flat out kill most players in a single raise.

the problem is that INT is a trash stat. Make cleric heals focus on int? Fine, but the same would have to be said of wiz damage.

I think you just misunderstood her/him. You both are on the same point about wiz being able to go tanky yet still dish out insane damage while most of the other classes can’t.

Yep that’s what I’m talking about, in both pve and pvp. Full CON clerics/wiz by right shouldn’t be able to dish out so much damage.

INT stat is too underwhelming of a stat, making CON a better choice in most cases, especially in pvp where the base damage of the skill itself is enough to kill, further making INT worthless in pvp.

Yeah im not too sure how to combat that given that rank8 is only further driving that point home with the high base damage skills.

More skills need to be like Zaibas where they have low base but double scale with INT.

The problem with physical classes is they need to budget for DEX, but for the most part I am seeing that DEX is superior for damage anyways.

Might as well get rid of INT and STR…

A quick thought…

They could do the ‘Dark Souls’ type model where every stat gives you HP, albeit CON gives more per point investment.

I.e. One point in INT gives 5 HP but 1 point in CON gives 10…something like that.

I know it’s a example but 5 / 10 isn’t too much?

But in the other hand I agree.
Archers should get a bit of hp with DEX
Swordsmen with STR and DEX
Mages with INT and SPR
Clerics with SPR

This tabble was good:

And this one was Great:

fixed it for you

In RO, the disparity between magic and physical classes was still present. Hunters were fine because DEX was their damage source, but Knights and Sins were garbage.

The only reason they became unstoppable was due to god items and MVP cards, which were way too strong albeit rare.

Once the server was filled with those items it was the beginning of the end.

An LK with 2x meg and GTB card…yeah it was GG.
