Konbanwa

So, after many many months of lurking and… well, finally getting a name change on the forums so it doesn’t show my email address… or general getting unlazy at some point. Sp I’ll be making my first post right here.

Anyways! I am Myurieru.
A casual player that sort of grew up with Ragnarok Online. That was my main game for a long while and when I saw the footage for Tree of Savior I was quite excited mostly about the various classes and many ways to play… well that and it looked like it’ll be playable on my netbook

With that said I generally am one of those simple minded folks that doesn’t really have a whole lot of special going for them xD I guess you can say I am an average ‘otaku’ that likes anime and games.

Main things that I have done are some drawings, been a long while since I actually uploaded anything xD
Here is probably one of my better drawings

Hmm… what else to add.
Well, maybe… favorite RPG? I cannot really pick a general favorite but I can say one of my favorite Action-RPG is the Ys series. I often compared Tree of Savior to Ys Seven… although I would love to see the battle system be that fun and face paced xD

The way that I play? Well, I am the type that likes to party up with people often but I will solo if I have to or find it too much of a hassle to seek out people to party up with

I guess uhh… can ask me anything else that comes to mind? I am not very good at introduction posts admittedly xD Feeling somewhat pressured to at least make it a fairly long post.

Overall =o I am one of those casual fun seekers.

Edit:Hmm, seems the cherry blossom didn’t work on my title xD anyone know how to use the pictures?

Welcome to Bug of…
or rather Tree of Savior
as for liking this game, well various opinions exist so I couldn’t quite say whether this game is for you or not
But so far this game is catered towards the cooperative side rather than soloing as the game has incentives for being in a party other than just pure self-effort

Regarding this game running on your netbook though, kinda doubtful on the current state of the game as even my gaming desktop struggles from frame stutters from time to time whenever a huge number of players are in the screen and most specially when they cast skills that have huge SFX. We’ll see in the near future whether they somehow manage to optimize the game for low-end systems :v:

Yeah, the hard part of knowing whether this game is for me or not.

Thus far I have enjoyed it even tho I’ll bet I could have enjoyed it more if I had more people to party with xD
My current play style kind of revolve around the idea of supporting. So I thought I could play full support… wow what a bad idea that was! So I went the general route of HighlanderBarbie and had a much better experience with the lack of parties.

But still, I like being the support of the party… or playing a fun gimmick type class like Cryo… which I made the mistake of passing up on Cryo-Kino… among many other mistakes that I have made due to not reading guides since I wanted to play the game without much guide reading and learn the game first hand xD

Right now my netbook been able to handle Tree of Savior at… around 25~30 fps on non-busy areas. So it’s okay-ish but when I first tried out demon prison grinding(amazed that I even got a party for once, outside of instance dungeon of course xD) and the fps went waaaaay down to below 2 fps once things started happening on-screen.

I know dat feel hahaha
Well actually you could just commit the ultimate sacrifice of going for a support build despite the lack of parties
I did meet one full support cleric/priest/diev who was on the verge of quitting the game not until we have met each other and became one of us in a now solid party of 4 :smile:

Life became much easier now compared to when we were just a party of 3 XD

Yeah… no xD I don’t feel like making my experience a frustrating one. Since if I am not having fun it does become pretty hard to enjoy a game. Which is why my original full support character stopped at lvl50

Cryokinos were unwanted in the level 50 dung? :open_mouth:
Must be tough in the server you played lel

Guess I am lucky for having made solid friends from a different MMORPG game before this

Then again, I did still see a bunch of Cryokinos past the level 90 mark. I did play with a bunch of them on some pub level 90 dungeon runs which turned out great because their freeze is awesome.

Oh I almost forgot, we also had a level 150 cryokino join us for grinding at the 2nd demon prison and his synergy/dps with our linker was totally awesome because there is no limit to the AOE attack ratio @_@

Heh yeah xD I came into Tree of Savior without any friends.

My full support was Cleric2 Priest1… with the intentions of Cleric2 Priest2 Pardoner2 which stopped being fun with the lack of parties.
If I was Cryokino I wouldn’t have much problems cause I could dps… but my Cryo passed on Kino cause I was a newbie. That was my mistake.

Ahhh just like my mage friend who ended up frustrated with cryo linker and deleted his char ._.

As for Cleric -> Priest path, yeah it truly is hard to solo with only those things but totally rocks with a party because of many things specially aspersion :+1:

Alternatively, if you still hunger for a support role, why not just go for a semi-support/semi-solo? There are many paths available like Pyrolinker, Thaumaturge, Chronomancer, and the hardest yet strongest rank 5-6 choice which is Elementalist(not so much of a support tho haha)

As for cleric path, there’s Krivis C2 for good enough dps then you can choose any path you wish after that at rank 3

If I get a constant party to play with, I would definitely go for the full support type. Cleric1 Priest3 Pardoner2
I personally find it enjoyable to be the support in parties xD

But yeah, I’ll have to re-route my strats in the next beta to have some solo abilities because of how unwelcoming full support is in this game.

Unwelcoming solo but super welcome in a party (for us tho) haha
We would never have done a flawless 2-3 day speed grind at Prison back then if we didn’t have our full support X_X

A full DPS party would never survive the later levels which is awesome

Well in my experience no one wanted a support class because they weren’t really needed.
But hopefully things will change in the next beta xD When I actually have a chance to catch on to the early game parties where everyone is.

Ahhh yeah indeed that makes sense
To those saying that full supports are not needed will suffer later :smiley:
Good luck in your conquest :+1:

Yeah, main thing I can do is hope xD

If not well I can just go try out other classes since they can go hybrid support and dps with ease which is vastly more desired.

the most demanded support in ToS is the Linker from Wizard class atm.

as almost any cleric would do in a party usually just for heals, but priests may get the limelight since there wont be free self-resu in OBT.

Oooh, I would definitely hope so xD Anyways, I am gonna go take off for sleeping since I have art class in the morning.

This statement is true enough
Linker is best in grinding and dungs
Makes Catacombs mission run feel more like a normal challenge rather than getting hit by a truck challenge XD

Anyways have fun in yer art classes haha

Welcome to TOS official forums, Myurieru! Hope you enjoy your stay here :slight_smile:
The battle here is pretty fast paced (except if you are fighting a boss) and exciting if you are playing with a party.
From my experience, each time I change party members, my playing experience totally felt different. That’s why grinding in this game is not that boring compared to the other MMOs out there IMO.

Hello Myurieru :heart:
Pretty artwork!

hmm yuyuko, might as well draw youmu :3
nice work

@Erokhi
Heh, yeah it is somewhat fast pace. But it would feel slow compared to Ys Seven ^^;
@Skogarna
Ahh, thank you for the compliment =o

@fairyhell
Hmm, that can be a possible future idea. Maybe have Yuyuko making Youmu blush? xD
