Lemme ask a querstion…
so the first name is anything/can be duplicated and the family/last name is first come, first serve? If that’s the case then I would probably have a much less nightmare choosing a name I liked. 
@steven Yes indeed. Everyone could have a character with the first name Steven.
As for me, I like this interface very much.
One other benefit of this system is that all your characters will be recognizable as yours. You could make a new character and other people who know your family name would immediately recognize it as yours.
For my character names…I have plenty to work off of, but deciding what my only family name will be is the challenge.

Ok thanks, sorry to bug you again but I thought of something else. 
Can you invite other people to your family or is that just the unique identifier thing for the players? I guess I’m kind of confused about it being called “family”…

It’s a unique identifier for a player.
It’s called a family, because all your alts are technically your family, and your barracks is pretty much your home and can be upgraded as well.
I feel like they expect us to enjoy making alts, especially with a lot of offline function on characters (opening shop/helper system/offline crafting/etc).
Then you shouldn’t tell your ideas here in the first place if you want it to be secure.
There is a possibility that someone’s going to troll us by making multiple accounts and take all of cool names. Because I’ve already experienced that. That was not cool at all.

This feature is absolutely awesome! Except, scammers may be able to get away easily…(they are everywhere) yes yes, sorry for the negativity! 
I will probably be taking xXx420_DarknesSK1r1t0_420xXx as its a highly desired and welcomed name by the community, of course.
true… scammers that copies player names are rampant nowadays in the MMOs… hope they have somthing to counter this otherwise… scrap it!

First name : The heck I will find to make a good “somethingcool Gremory” !
Like… Something really new, that anyone will never think about : Rias Gremory. Nobody will ever think about that.

I think this system is really cool, you can choose and change your First Name freely but your Last Name will be fix (not in the CTB from what I saw). Maybe they will monetized the Last Name swap, it’s a good way to make money without snatching money out of your players wallet. For ppl who are making really different name for each character, in this case, I must admit this will system will be quite annoying. But, we all know the music, you can’t make the best choice for everyone.
At least, this is a original way to give some freedom to your players and in the same way containing them from giving crappy xXxRoXoRZoftheD4MoOnxXX Names (at least for Last Names, they will pay a little attention to it because it will be monetized ).
Anyway, I’m definitly going for Gremory as my Last Name !

Yeah I also think this system is nice, especially your last name will be exclusive and become your whole barracks last names.

My last name shall be Slaystation and my first name for each character shall be some kind of unfortunate wild critter.

Well, the good thing is this is very likely to be a beta only feature. However, it’ll be nice to change things around and test out different name combos.
I find although it’s great to get Goku, Vegeta, Link or some other well known name, so many people walk around with those names on other games, it’s not recognisable. So I stick to a formula of “Greek Letter” followed by Ghost. EG Xi Ghost. That way I almost always get my name, my friends understand the pattern, and sometimes I meet others I’ve met on other games and they recognise the unique name. Something like XxSn1p3rxX is pretty ugly I agree, but I think a unique name serves to make the character more your own than role playing as someone else~
