Chaplain is still usable in KR test server?

I think someone mentioned somewhere that you can only spread Daino through breaking wheel with secondary attack.

Was that an intended change? If so, how does using only secondary attack affects Chaplain’s overall DPS?

It’s usable again, but it now costs durability per attack.

Not quite sure if it still has the additional hits, even despite IMC stating those are intentional…
But I don’t quite trust them on that claim tbh, If it was intentional they wouldn’t have removed it via a bug fix to begin with. They only changed it because the ktossers got mad.

or ask @Nekorin for more info

Thanks for the info. I actually had a Kriv3/Chap/Inq. Manage to reset it just before event ends. I dont know if I should go with that build again, but i really liked it ;/

Afaik when breaking wheel still spreads the additional lines of damage when using primary attack with Daino. Daino only affects main/primary attack and not secondary/offhand.

What’s fixed in the latest patch is the double dipping into the additional lines.

so it is less powerful ?

Yep it will be less powerful for Wheel based aoe. It is still a viable build though.

Currently for a standard krivisChap their auto hit for 6 hits. (Auto + Sacrament + Enchant Fire + Last Rites + Aspersion splash + Daino). Wheel+Daino bug doubles the auto side, and makes it 11 hits (+5 hits) per attack.

After the fix, if the KrivisChap combined additional hit damage is around 40k, it means lesser 40k damage per hit spread via wheel as compared to now. (Can take it like losing around 40~ish% of aoe damage for breaking wheel autos)

The difference between the fixes will be quite evident especially when the KrivisChap is attempting to burst down a boss with autos+wheel + Malleus.

Ty

Im not sure about making one now then

Here’s a video of krivis chap in action (thanks @greyhiem for the video link) after the fix. The damage 'water fountain" doesn’t flow as much as now but still viable :3

Edit: Burn is still the main killer, I think sooner or later IMC is going to fix that too. = =

@Nekorin the damage of wheel spread is str based ? can it crit ? i dont see any yellow damage or is it because of Daino, magical attack will never crit ?
I wonder if full dex would be good

Burn is Aukuras burn ?

Nope, the wheel spread is based off what attack you use to hit the wheel with. If you hit it with an auto attack, the auto attack will become aoe. Similarly if you hit it with Godsmash, godsmash will get spread out.

Burn is Inquisitor’s Burn attribute.

Thx I see now, so dex build for faster hits, spr for better sacrament, aukuras damage, int for daino damage

While you’re here, I have few questions:

Why does in the vid he uses Agny? Does Agny increases Fire Enchant/Aukuras fire prop/Inq’s Burn?

What cards do you think is important for an AA chap like that? I know Grazing Golem is one. How important is Centaurus card?

I don’t think Agny adds a % modifier to Burn though. It does add fire property damage which affects all lines of attack and that’s probably the reason why Agny is used. There aren’t really much necklaces/accessories to choose from besides Fieno set for proccing the additional line or getting dhrag necklace for some increase in auto attack distance.

Imo, having at least 1 Centaurus will be great, unless you have a squire alt which can make BBQ skewer (+3 aoe ratio).

Personally for my AA build I’m using 2x Biteregina (poison proc), 2x Velnia Monkey (increase damage to poisoned monsters), 1x Gazing Golem and 1x Centaurus. Since the build is a hybrid AA + caster build this combination works out pretty well.

Just 1 Gazing golem is enough for pure AA build?

What do you think between poison and bleed proc (bitgerina/velnia vs rajapearl/prison)? Its just a matter of personal preference?

For my case (I’m a Krivis3 Miko Kabba2 Inq1 AA build), having 1 gazing golem is enough as the build has other dps rotations besides auto attacking and aoe with wheel. The biteregina/monkey cards helps quite a fair bit in the damage of other skills.

I prefer poison though, besides the damage difference (one based off monster hp% and the other is strength dependent iirc). The main deciding factor is the use of poisons in other players’ builds. Poison’s reach (better aoe) is much higher with wugushis and plague doctors (both are common classes) whereas most of the skills that debuffs with a bleed effect (from archers/swordsman) don’t have big aoes. This benefits me more since my aoes can get buffed too when I group with poison users.

Hello is Krivis Daino really a must have ?

I’m thinking of making a full dex AA wheel inqui but differently than the standard AA one.

C1
P3
Chaplain
Diev1 for -20% cd to insure lower cd wheel
Monk/pala 1 for 2h mace
Inqui 1 for wheel
Zealot 1 for fanatism 30% damage

What do you think ?

Without Daino I miss 1 line of damage and the attack speed but I’m full dex already and I can focus on stats dex + critical rate stuff

Not really a must have now after the Daino x Breaking Wheel fix. Previously it is a must due to Daino doubling all the additional lines.

With the new fix, daino isn’t really that much needed for a dex build. Since Daino makes auto attack a magic attack, it runs counter to a Dex based character which grants crit damage. Having your auto as a physical will be much better imo.

@Nekorin I’ve read on another post I need aoe ratio stuff for AA build?

also does it work with bleed card ? can I aoe bleed ? :stuck_out_tongue:

If it will happen then there will no reason to pick Inq1. Zealot 2 Blind faith can be decent.

AOE attack ratio affects the number of monsters you can attack per swing at melee range. If you have the bleed card, each hit you do on a monster has a chance to inflict bleed status on that monster. So yet, the higher your aoe attack ratio the most monsters you hit per attack means ability to spread bleed out faster.

@SpardaTheDevil If IMC is ever going to fix Inqusitor : Burn, they will probably fix it like what they do to Warlock’s Invocation. Currently Burn is really strong as monsters who are killed by Burn have a chance to spawn another flame too.
