Change the [Magic Scrolls] ( RNG Stats in the Cash Shop )

Sadly, the players supporting the idea do it because they want their stats. They support pay to win. If you try to lower the stat they will be against it with all their might.

This is more like on : “I know this is harmful for the community but I want to pay for power” vs " This is harmful for the community and might destroy the game, lets us buy for cosmetics" kind of warfare here.

So what about my idea? Stats are not RNG but numbers are. You will be able to get average hat with 3 stats you need, but those who want best stats in slot would be able to buy 100 hats to achieve that.

With 1-2% drop rate getting full average headgear will take 30-60 days, it’s totally reasonable. Maybe remove those fixed 1 stats at all, and balance out random stats so people will try to get as good as possible stats in every slot.

And if you can activate only 1 headgear, nobody is forced to use 3 of them.

This will help people who care about style. Stats from 1 headgear are not overwhelming as well.

The cost can be adjusted to 15 TP, so it will be possible to get full average headgear at a cost of 30 TP. Pretty reasonable.

I think if enchants stay the way it is, 90% of players will not quit. Actually, i think no1 will leave. Some ppl will complaim about it, but wont leave.
And also, i think i dont have to explain why selling Lolopanther is a bad idea. As i said, “not every lógic is a smart one”.
If the system stay the way it is, but the enchants dont sell for TPs. Ppl will complain about only “no life players” will drop it.
Again… this is not making anyone OP. I dont have lots of money to spend and u have to play hard to get.

I like your idea better. The amount of RNG for magic scrolls now does seem overly high, but there needs to be enough RNG that people always have something to work towards or else IMC will need to just keep introducing better and better gears.

No, you do have to explain why selling Lolopanther gear is a worse idea then current magic scrolls system.

Because it’s just as bad.

I’ve given some suggestions how to change it.

1)Make it less RNG and increase drop chance to 1-2%. Just above.

2)Let it be RNG, but increase drop chance to 5-30%.

3)Decrease number of active hats to 1, while keeping the stats OR lower the stats, and let people hide the hats they want to hide(if it’s not yet avialble).

4)Combine all 3 of those variants so the difference between payers and non payers will be in amount of time to get perfect geat. But after 6 months of play every player who regularly does dungeons should with almost 100% chance get good enough headgear.

It’s not like I don’t have money to buy Cash Shop stuff, but I don’t want to gamble like this using my money. I see no problems with gambling using ingame “currency” though. If stats were fixed (chosen by player), I’d get those Magic Scrolls for sure. But right now it’s really bad part of the game and should be eliminated/changed.

I think lots of players will eventually quit if that’ll keep up. kToS is a good example. Maybe it’s not the main reason why servers are empty, but it’s definitely one of the reasons.

The best one in this stage of the game. Sell the hole set in store will kill the game. You are trying to compare a hole end game (so far) set with a few stat points over your head, with a random chance, that doenst make anyone OP. What you are trying to do, is just absurd.

Im not saying that this IMCs idea is impressive and perfect. Im just saying that if they keep as it is, im fine with it. If the community have a better idea, then sure! Let’s change it.
I too think if they lower the numer of enchants to 1 per headgear (or let only one headgear have 3 stats) could help.
But if they wont, ill play the game just the same.

The problem is, those headgear enhants grant almost as much stats as a whole lolopanther set, not including base values. So random basic set for level 220 + headgear enhances = lolopanther set. If you don’t believe me, you can calculate stats that lolopanther set grants and compare them with 9 headgear enhances.

So yeah, it’s just absurd. Like current magic scroll system.

I agree that I will play the game just as well too, but I feel like the large part of community won’t. And I don’t want to play on empty servers in 6 months. So I’m trying to prevent IMC from doing mistakes that can potentially be deadly for the game.

yep, there is a reason why those headpieces go above 400k , because they are very good.

Yeap… but seems to me really hard to get those 3 headgears with 3 max perfect enchants. Whats the odds…

Just calm down. IMC is a capitalist company, i dont think they are here to lose money. So if it is a bad idea, and ppl start to leave the game. They will change it.
Blizzard keep screwing their games and fixing all the time. And a lot of ppl play blizzard’s games.
IMC listen to the community, if some1 come with a good ideia, i think they will implement.

Its fine complain. Its fine sugestions, but i also think its fine just adapt.

in my years of f2p gaming experiences, As players quit due to unfairness and other stuff, the company increases the pay to win elements in order to try and squeeze the most of its dying game. I’ve never seem a company go Pay to win and go back.

You can get 1 headgear with 3 stats you need(not perfect) at a price of 200$ average. So 3 is 600$.

The problem is, changing it will be hard, because those who got perfect enhances will complain a lot.

So it’s better to solve the problem beforehand using the experience of kToS players.

There are ways to solve this. Given ppl TPs or something.
But now i start to think about other stuff. Cause we already have the token system, plus an RNG system … and knowing that even in mmo games u can make money selling just costumes and dyes, and somethings like that…

you obviously don’t understand if you’re gonna argue about semantics. gambling is gambling, and there’s a whole marketing strategy behind the psychology of gambling.

Sure there is. But gambling in casinos is normal, while gambling in MMOs will scare most players away, because very few people like this sort of gambling.

that’s a very naive statement and i would have to type an essay just so to explain to you why it works, but trust the data and facts, you don’t know what you’re talking about. if gambling wasn’t such an alluring method both psychologically and neurologically, then nobody would gamble. gambling is gambling whether you use it in a game or in real life casinos. the effects are all the same.

Hmm, I personally have an innate feeling of disgust when I see gambling in a game. And I’m not the only one who feels the same.

What I mean, it isn’t really pleasant to see gambling of such sort in a game. It’s like the main sign of bad style. Right sort of gambling is when every result is somewhat good.
