@Jabba by fake we mean even though it looks like it’s hitting more than once, it actually isn’t. Fakes hit 1 time but their damage is split up, just a visual, if you miss with a fake, you miss one time.
Real multihits are opposite, you miss with a real multihit, you still have other hits that could land. Skills like Earth Wave and Doom Spike are fakes. Dragontooth, Stabbing, Dragon Soar etc. are real.
You can test on the “Sword Pell” I think it’s some kind of punching bag. It only displays the hits as a 1. Multi hits have many 1’s, fakes have only one. This vid shows it:
dude we all know that galin , split the hit in three like you have but this is where the good thing start, once you have use the galin with skills like stabbing, that is the main skill that make it good for bosses, it apply the bonus from the tooltip in each hit, so to make it simple, it triple the tooltip damage from stabbing.
now about the rest of the skills i’m not so sure if it works, but again stabbing have been working for a long time now, unless they have patched it do not work anymore.
so, if you are a hop3 with stabbing 15, having a galin even 0 in the inventory for bosses is fair nice extra damage, but again would only be extra 2x tooltip damage, that later on with fair nice set-attributos and so on can be overcome with a high lvl spear, but it would not be easy.
edit: this topic is for cata so most of us will only have stabbing 5, so i can tell you all that is not worth to have a galin for stabbing only, since at least for me the extra damage from the tooltip is not worth the trouble to carry the weapon and swap everytime, but if you do not mind it, is good to have as well even if the stabbing is not lvl15.
I tested galin+6 vs catacombs+6 vs elements+5 with stabbing. Galin came out on top every time. Also true for swordie skills. Take into consideration galin doesn’t triple concentrate/sacrament damage, also, the damage isn’t actually x3, more like x2.1 total, or approximately x1.4 the dmg you get from catacombs on those skills.
All other skills, elements and catacombs came out on top, with a slight advantage for catacombs except when using blessing/sac.
That’s why I want someone to test the dragoon skills properly with galin. I can’t wait to be a dragoon (ok, I can cause I’m holding on to my cards to avoid a huge grind). Someone? Pls?
So I just tested with serpentine and dragontooth, my catacombs came out on top, but not by much in the grand scheme of things.
I used Gae Bulg to get rid of my spear so the damages would be a lot similar. Catacombs will do a little more since it keeps it’s bonus to Large monsters.
I’ll upload the video of the serpentine one later, for now i’ll test on my cataphract which has Hoplite and Stabbing xD.

edit; nvm i don’t really care about stabbing lmao. + Catacombs has more crit rate and max attack anyway.
i have not use galin for a long time, put at least 30-50 days already so they could have even patched it, i have not seen the video,since i’m playing right now and would lag here but like i have wrote before galin is only good with stabbing because at least i have never read anything saying that it work with other skills and since cata only have stabbing lvl5, it was easy to surpass the damage with equips and let it go to the vault.
but one of the monsters i remember that it worked well is the dg 130 glizardoon, it have 45k, and since we are “only” at cata 2 at that time, galin was very nice to have.
Get gemmed up, or if it bothers you that much, change your gloves to leather and get some accuracy headgear too, you keep most of the plate’s bonus anyway.
Bleed I understand, but poison? get antidotes, they’re cheap af. If they’re high dex, they’re not max STR = lower block pen. Go shield with blue gems , leather gloves with green, a bit more con, antidotes and accuracy headgear.
KILL ALL THE ARCHERS!!! Or, you know, at least give them a better fight.
I think something is still wonky with the skills effect.
Today my pain spin still stop at mid way for no reason (one time I even have blood letting on, lol). And somehow the enemies doesn’t get stunned even with restrain 10 (that was a cleric and a wizard, so no pain barrier)
Meanwhile broadhead still tick 1k5-2k, QS running shot 2k per hit wtf, dark theurge 4k per touch now
And the worst part is I keep getting 4v5, with a rank 5 on my team as well zz
me too, today i had my rush freeze 4 times in a row,rush stopping in the middle and going in CD as well and with that the wizard got away and came back with ghosts and killed me.
now about those 4k, i think he may be using that hacker tool, today also i had fought a catagoon who was rushing me for 3,5k damage per tick, i never saw it in my entire life nor i ever saw him in pvp before and i have fought everyday with many players and he was simple a new one , so i think it was the hack as well.
I almost bought one of this yesterday for 5m and he is selling it for
10m. lol. and suddenly I saw one in the market for only 200k
today…haha… lucky huh…the ingredients are not that expensive

If there’s a cheap one (recipe) in the market below 50k, I think I’m just gonna buy it as well. Time too precious to do any hunting. I already have the Ohgmar one anyways. Gotta catch up on the quests. XD
