Looking at what the guy posted on forum and what’s on tosbase, seems Lancer is 2h spear only.
Keep in mind Lancer can slap a catagoon2 off his mount lmao

Also:
Dismount > Impale > Kill pet with him still impaled > unmountable pet because stun > no cata skills to use

Sucks but what can you do. That 16053 ranged skill from dragoon with 2 overheat and 16s cooldown looks like it’s going to rock in PvP. I mean, if you don’t miss with it that is.

Huh we might have a misunderstanding. I mean the skills of lancer is it two handed spear only? Cause I am a pelt catagoon already… so I can use one hand spears. My matter is can lancer skills be used with one hand spears…or is it that lancer has no one hand spear attri only…
On the skills that were posted/translated they only have “TwoHand Spear”, as the weapon type.

@nate0106951 @fatedhour @ijbest The weird thing is that Lancer doesn’t have a 2H spear attribute so it’s locked to either picking up cata or dragoon or both at lower ranks, but we’re not really sure yet.
Things could change, or not, since lancers in history are seen as 2H-spear wielders.
It does have a 2h spear attribute, what are you talking abt lol

Lancer: Knockdown Chance
Companion Riding
Use Two-handed Spears

Thanks, I missed that. I think my brain messed up at knowing how great Lancer is.
Anyways, anyone who picked pelt but wants to go Lancer will be slightly handicapped for the lack of shield usage which the class is built around.
So Sw1 Pel1 Hop1’s should go Goon2?

Ohh companion riding and 2hand spear. So almost any swordies can be credible lancers… so a shinobi can use two hand spear and atk riding companion. Hehe
