So I was initially following this build S2 > H1 > Cata3 > Dragoon but looking for advice from the experienced as I have been presented with a counter build that suits PvP/GvG which is what I want to get into in the future.
The build presented is: S3 > H2 > Cata1 > Dragoon, with emphasis on 40% stun rate and Level 10 Finestra and Spear Lunge.
Can any of you tell me which would be better:
S2 > H1 > Cata3 > Dragoon
OR
S3 > H2 > Cata1 > Dragoon

If you donāt go pelt youāll just have a bad time finding a partyā¦ IMO getting SW2 instead of pelt then going hop1 cata 3 goon is way more viable if you want to go GvG, since the finestra buff gives you more range to your abilities, I mean, I imagine a GvG where there are lots of peopleā¦ Restrain at 40% from the SW3 is also great, but i belive itās more of a PvP approach, and personally I think Peltasta sucks ass if your objective on endgame is not tanking. Buffs to the classes will come and all these people praising the peltasta will spit in their faces for getting a circle of a defensive/survivability class and all other circles for damageā¦
Nah, I donāt give a ā ā ā ā to partys, the only problem is that without Swash I have problems to use my skills efficiently. Cata have a lot of AoE, and some maps donāt have agressive mobs :C
And a tip, highlander is not a option haha, I already tried it. And Restrain will be only useful for pvp, I have a Sw3 Rodelero, and seriously, even with the ugly DPS I prefer to keep kiting than using restrain (PvE wise) e.e

Well, youāre having a bad time now, but I do believe the game will be optimized, and monsters will be lessā¦ well, dumb. Thatāll make it easier to mob them. AAAAAAnyways, the character has potential for GvG since you got the 20% restrain and finestra, I mean, as soon as the game is polished, you will have an AoE killing machine for future GvGs! OR maybe I am too optimistic, but letās hope for me to be right.
well having pelta is not always a bad thing. i do agree it would reduce your offensive since you would not have retrain. and if you get pelta just so you can taunt it defnetly not the way to go. making use of a shield is the main use of going pelta. guardian traited does give a evade boost too which can be pretty handy considering cata gets a evade boost on a pet too.
perosnally how useful pelta will be will depend on what lancer is like. if it is a spear and shield class that works mounted it may be pretty good to have pelta to take advantage of the pelta passives and their skills do have some good knockback to them distance that umbo can knock back is pretty nice
i plan to weapon swap between 1 hand spear and shield and 2 handed spears so i can take advantage of whatever i need to for the situation. also idk how gae bulg works but i plan to throw the 1 hand spear and when i get in close use the 2 hand spear. target could alwyas move away from the spear or advance towards you after all authough idk how effective that would be

Meanwhile in kToS:
-STR now gives Block Pen (!! screw u Stone Skin)
-Skills hit-box increased: Umbo Blow, Stabbing, Serpentine, Dragon Soar
-Gain 70% Resistance rate against negative status ailments during [Rush]
kToS has lots of swordsman buffs while the IToS just seems to nerf them lol

You can use finestra with 2h spear. The only reason to go 1h spear on cata is for swashbuckling.
Weapon swap. I use 1H when the map isnāt a dungeon (SB for aggro), when my 2H needs repairs or when Iām in a party. 2H the rest of the time.

pelt or reroll. sw 2 doesnt give much. all sw2 are just free loaders in dungeon runs
