for pve do you just max out trot, earth wave, doom spike and rush? what about impaler?
Leave it at 1 or just ignore it, its damage is not that big and it focus only on one target, you need to focus on the AoE damage for PvE, but even the PvP build leave it at 1 most of the times, because what matters is the skewering effect of the ability, not its damage.

Just a tip, Oracle prophecy and PD bloodletting and beak mask cancel Impaler (because it is a debuff lvl 1, dunno why, Hunter’s restrain and coursing are lvl 10 D: )
Impaler is a PvP skill. Leave it at 1 for PvE build.
Is it really hard to land Earthwave? The AoE is pretty big. Well, I was going to go standard build with 15 Earth, 1 Impale, 9 Doom, and then reset at like 280. But then, I’m thinking if I don’t test high level Impale for myself, I’ll never know if it’s any good or not…haha.
Got some gear progress on my Cata. Bought a 42 atk Gilt for 280k and rolled a headgear 2/3. These will do til I get some with atk and crit stats. Galin Trident is so cheap too, 20k recipe and crafts from normal Trident. Will probably use til Cata Pike.

You have to buy it using TP. I bought 2 tokens with silver and got 200 TP in refunds 2 weeks ago. But now I’m all out…headgear enchanting is addicting.
Kind of regret NPCing the Rokas Leather armor…I didn’t think much of it but the evasion and DEX is pretty good. Oh well, guess I’ll just have to hold out until Ibre Leather set. 32 Evasion…
I got a question regarding dragoon. if I use Gae Bulg and I don’t pick it up do I lose it? im planning on going sword>pelta>hop>cata 3>goon and plan to swtich between 1 hand spear and shield and 2 hand spear . if used Gae Bulg on one of them would I be able to weapon swap to the other and use that?
I didn’t read the whole thread so excuse me if this has been asked already, but why pick dragoon instead of hoplite2 or vice versa?

In the build i have pelt hop cata3 X, why people go dragoon instead of hop 2? hop 2 offers +50% stabbing and doom spike damage and 100% uptime finestra with more 50 crit rate as well.

Where did you read that Spear Lunge is a 50% damage boost? I don’t see that anywhere.
Ok, if you go Hop2, you get some higher levels in Finestra, Pierce, Stabbing, and a skill that does a little damage and boosts other Piercing damage. But when all your skills are on CD and you have to auto-attack because you took a class that gave you 1 skill used for a buff instead of a class that gives you 4 damage skills (2 of which are pretty decent), is your “DPS” really better?
