Since I’m making my 3rd cata (sw c2 > hop > cata c3 > dragoon) I wanna go yolo on my other character and take dopel on rank 6
so my build will be like this sw > pelt 1 > hop 1 > cata 2 > dopel > cata 3 or dragoon.
Anybody with similar build like this? How’s the experience?
you should get cata3 after dopel, and wait for rank 8 release to get dragoon if u must. if u want to pvp at all that is.
pve, it really doesn’t matter… just bring pelt1 and u r hot stuff. Though cata3 solo is probably safer because mobs get push back lock by rush.
Getting dopel first can definitely speed up ur leveling if u dont have alot of playing time and rely on mission mostly. Double pay earn is only really worth it for mission.

TROT duration, i still have 7 sec left then it dissapear. now i have to wait 9sec to cast it again. my trot skill is at max level.

finally at cat 1. I’m already satisfied with the speed and i think ten-second down time would be already enough for me and I’m tempted to get hop 2 after cat 2.

rush definetly is worth it, it is indeed the best cata skill, and you are going to regret every minute of your life for not picking cata 3, just saying. Also, full time trot, dude. Don’t even get me started.

For my experience, swash is really needed for PVE or Tanky type of cata. But if you want to PVP, Swordsman 2 for me is nice. Restraint sucks at PVE even at 20% stun chance. But when you try it on a player, it is a pain in the ass.

btw is the earth property attribute of earth wave worth it? how come i usually see cataphracts doing overkills at higher levels? shouldnt earthwave have already scaled down a bit by then? I cant even one-shot some monsters as cat 1
Are you sure your holding down ur earth wave long enough? Dont look at the charge meter, its a fake guage when server is lagging.
