Focus PvE with AoE damage, but i have a question, is trot required to be more than lvl 1?
I dont know how much damage impaler do but it does seems like a nice skill, what are your thoughts? Higher level on impaler or trot?

In my opinion you maxing or at least lvl 12 trot is far more relevant than impaler, the main reason being the huge mobility and the 100% up time. Its really a question of preference i would say even tho the class is all about mobility. Impaler give you bonus dmg but you are not going to use it has a main skill any way because you have better alternatives in your kit and using it every time its up would just mean running out of mana faster. For me the utility you get from trot out do the damage from impaler. Its a cool skill and lvl does not affect its duration but that is only good to know for pvp i guess.

Impaler is a crap of a skill, dont use it

Dragoon is not mandatory, you can go cataphract 3 instead.

great build, there is nothing wrong with it.
sacrifice c3 cataparcht, for c2 hoplite is not worth it.
- C3 cata or nothing at all.
hoplite c1 will be enough to allow you acces to 1h spear aswell as finestra.
other then that provide nothing big, but ! the other choices are just really bad !
so hoplite c1 will play the best choice.
- there is nothing to replace pelt1>hoplite1 in your build unless you go
C3 Swordsman for PVP reasons.
otherwise the option you chose was the best.
I agree with the build posted aside from stats and skills
Sword>Pelt>Hoplite1>Cata3>Dragoon or whatever you wish.

Here’s my suggestion:
You can drop Steed Charge entirely if you want and go with Earth Wave Lv.15 if you like. The only reason i put it there is for you to have options when everything else is on cooldown or if you need a quick burst but want to save your powerful skills for whatever is around.
Gae Bulg is not good for PvE so forget it.
Another suggestion:
Drop Dragoon for Hoplite C2 finishing your ranks on Cataphract C3.
C2 grants you Finestra uptime and more crit chance, more levels on stabbing and pierce and spear lunge’s pierce debuff.

You are following my build plan, im currently Cat 3 and reaching close to dragoon
and If you are indeed going for Cat3 cathaphract are good for their mobility… so trot lvl 15 is mandatory sadly…
Also impaler isn’t that good,
1st. it doesnt work against bosses…
2nd. it require alot of mana as each attack you do while you impaled will cost you mana
3rd… Earth wave does massive dmg and knock up(that can be turned off/on)
aside from that, everything seems okay, Its your opinion but i think bash 3 is useless i would much rather be able to take pain barrier lvl 4 instead so that you dont have to worry about being knocked back while you use rush or stabbing!

it’s basically what you seems to want to look forward to, except I think its more hybrid PvP/PvE rather than full PvE

Is the 20% bonus damage with two handed spears worth more than 1hspear + arde/venom dagger?
Why is gae bulg not good? it seems to do AoE damage and does good damage, plus it looks â– â– â– â– â– â– â– awesome
I think the 2h bonus is pretty good since your weapon swap would be already occupied by 1h spear+shield.
I’m not sure but i heard that dragon soar is bugged thus why everyone pick gae bulg… But it might have been patched and I might be wrong on that part…
but I read that somewhere im pretty certain!

Hello. Can somebody enlighten me why getting Cataptrach c3 is better than Hoplite c2 in PvE? and is Rush really that powerful? thanks.
with my cat c3 and rush lvl 6(due to my weapon)
i deal 2.5k per tick… which is per second… (approximatly) and the skill last for like 10s? so that’s 25k dmg! that is good dmg and my attribute is right now pretty low and my equipment is pretty crap too.
and hoplite is good for PvP and bosses due to spear lunge which increase pierce damage on a target
That is my understanding from it. If someone wants to say otherwise they are more than free to give their wisdom

Str 2 Con 1 Dex 4 or Str 3 dex 2 con 1 which do you thinks is better?
If you bring together cataphract and rodelero, for example rodelero c2 and cataphract c1, then would you use rodelero skills when would you be mounted ?

I agree with build 2, dragoon does not offer much compared to Hop-c2
Personally I’m going Pelt > Hop > Cata > Cata > Hop > Cata; just to get the 2 hand spear, run speed, as quick as possible. Hop > Cata > Hop would leave you with points left over for all of hop2 because impaler + speed charge are basically useless. My only change to the build would be taking hop after cata2 and not learning impaler or speed charge at all.
Why not go for Dragoon?

You will have lvl 5-6 green gems to cope up with finestra lvl 5
Finestra is more than crit my friend, it also gives a very powerful +3 AOE Attack ratio; it is also not permanent at level 5, there is about 11 seconds downtime with this attribute that is eliminated by going hopC2; In addition to the increase of block rate which while be extremely useful when tanking.
Spear lunge makes targets take more damage from pierce attacks, which you have plenty of, it will increase the damage of doom spike, stabbing, pierce, and regular attacks.
Dragoon would be better later imo; Gae Bulg is okay but it might be better to take dragoon at r8 as the bonuses hop c2 offers are largely more noticeable and will obviously stack with what the dragoon has to offer (serpentine and dragon tooth are both pierce). Again it is hard to say on this since we don’t know how the next few jobs we’ve yet to see are going to perform, but the go-to build for mounters may end up being Hop2, Cata 3, Dragoon… well whatever we can end up reaching.
If you’re going to PvP then don’t take Pelt as it’s completely useless for your Cata build. Impaler is great especially in arenas.
If you’re going PvE drop Pelt for Hoplite 3 Cata 3… that’s to maximize your AoEs as you mentioned. You don’t need Dragoon.
