Casting spells in the opposite direction besides the one you are looking in

I am not sure if anyone else has experienced this but so far I have experienced this problem, and it makes it really hard to play healer comfortably. I use “Mouse Mode”, and this is the only reason why I think it could be messing up as for “Keyboard Mode” does not work yet. I use “Mouse Mode” to control my character, but like in any other mmorpg I am use to using W,A,S,D to move around. Well in “Mouse Mode” I can use W,A,S,D so I chose that over clicking. Anyways, when I push W,A,S or D to move to a general location I then want to use a Cure in front of me after pushing the key of the direction I want the spell to be in it does not land in that direction ( in front of me ) I want it to land in. For some odd reason my character will do a 180 then put the Cure spell behind her instead of in front of her. When I use mouse 1 to click to a general location she will put the spell right in front of her the way I want it, but I do not want to use click as stated before that in any other mmorpg I played I use W,A,S,D. The clicking is just not comfortable for me, but I guess I can deal with it until things are fixed. Can anyone clarify if this is a issue for them or if there is something I may be doing wrong? ( I highly doubt it is anything I am doing wrong but who knows.) Thanks!

I had issues with this until I figured out that where my mouse cursor pointed was where it would cast… Even without me clicking there! Yes, even when using WASD!

I had to start being mindful of where my mouse cursor was pointing relative to my sprite in order to correct this. Hope it helps!

It is how magnificentchaos described. This actually works out well for me as a krivis. You can easily cast heal directly behind you without moving your character, for example.

Thank you so much, and here I thought it was something wrong with the game. I am not use to it putting the spells where the cursor is. What a relief!
