Can't start Appraiser quest step 1? any ideas?

Hi there,

i wanted to try to get the appraiser quest (for getting the appraiser-master), but I can talk to the Fencer-master and talk and talk and talk… but nothing happens. I cant get her to talk to me about appraiser, but it just doesnt happen ): My character is rank 8, has talked to the appraiser in Fedi a few times and has done the klaipeda-mainquest till killing Bramble.

I tried:

  • change channels
  • restart steam
  • sittin on a pet (and not doin so)
  • goin to Orsha and talkin to the NPC there, but it doesnt help (and that NPC wont talk to me about appraiser as well)

Aside from the fencer have you also talked to the accessory merchant in Orsha? You’ll need to spam it so that he will talk something about the appraiser as well then only uska will give you the option to look the princess attendant.

Step 1 requires you to talk to 2 different NPCs for the appraiser quest.

Seems you must complete all of crystal mine main quest to start the appraiser quest.

side info: you can do all the quests (watering flower/flower farming) even if ur r8 and 330.
you dont need to be “job change ready”

Just spent over an hour moistening the Flower and it eventually despawned. :frowning: Why is it taking so long? Does it progress backwards/restart it’s ever watered outside of phase?

Wish the watering phase was visible. One of the worst waste of times I’ve seen ina game.

the watering quest rly sucks hard.

basicly you cant see the right time window to water it.
you have to click “kinda blind” and hope for a glow.

a glow is a successful watering, gives you +1 point on the flower.
however, if it doesnt glow while watering, it failed. and charges you -2 points on the flower.

you need to find out the perfect time window to water it and be patient.
its nice to have a group/party there to help u.

we kinda made it with 4 peoples in 20min.
timewindow we made was every 20 sec, 1 watering.
it failed still often , but somehow we made it to make some “plus” and get the flower.
however, 1 person was not in the screen, duo refilling water.
he was not able to get the flower afterwards, bad luck LOL.
but the other 3 peoples were able to get it.

You don’t need the Crystal Mines main quest for the Fencer Master and the Accessory Shop NPC at Orsha for them to mention Appraiser Master in their dialogue. I managed to let them mention the Appraiser master without it. Though you need the Crystal Mines main quest cleared for you to trigger the quest given by the Templar Master at Klaipedia.after you talk to the both of them.

it still doesnt work.

I thought that it might be sth like this:
"There’s multiple quests that start like this. Apparently some ppl have bad luck and it takes a long time. I got it rite away, a buddy couldn’t get it after 30~ min and logged off and got it the next time he was on. Idk if there’s a special way to trigger it. "

Hi, curious about what you said. So can I still all these (watering flower/flower farming) even w/o talking to fencer master and accessory shop? I mean like I haven’t done anything and start off by just watering flower/flower farming?

thats not what i said, i just said you can do all the appriser prequests , even thou ur not job adv. ready with clsLvL15 , and even with max lvl330 and Rank8.

but to answer your question, no.
you need to talk to fencer master and accshop before doing water flower and stuff

Thanks! I stopped with the first steps too, I went to Templar master and no quest have been triggered (I can confirm that I’ve finished Xtal mines main quests as well). I may try again later before the event ends -_-.

I had the same issue as you. The answer is you need to keep talking to the accessory merchant in Orsha. Maybe teleport out of the zone and come back. Weirdly he wouldn’t give me the response and kept opening the shop like 100x and then I logged to a different character and came back and the first interaction with him he gave me the dialogue I was looking for.

I too was looking online trying to figure out why I wasn’t getting the quest. Once he gave me the dialogue I could talk to the guy in Klaipeda and move on. I can confirm you have already received the correct dialogue from the fencer master so you 100% don’t need to keep talking to her. It’s the accessory merchant you need to get.

Good stuff, thank you. I remember that the item merchant give me the response but I might as well check that again when time permits.
