hi @GM_Sebastian , sorry to call you here but some of the players are having problems with their games. After the patch on August 2 it’s been 3 days and these guys cannot play the game. Please come help out if you have some suggestion regards this matter. Thank you.
Yea im having the same problems nothing i do works to fix it except one thing. whenever i redownload steam and the game after acouple tries it works.
the problem is that after it works once it never starts up again and goes back to the problem of closing after the launcher. any ideas of what could be the problem since the only thing that works for me seems to be reinstalling steam/tos
Experiencing this since yesterday morning, still can’t access game till now. Launcher stops at 100% and doesn’t continue to open the game. I’ve verified integrity of game files over a dozen times by now and still doesn’t work. I also tried some of the suggestions here in this thread as well as here ✅ 🔧 Tested solutions to patching problems, I didn’t do the VPN and DNS thing though, might try that as a last resort after I try reinstalling the game now.
Hi mate, the game didn’t stop after launcher, it just slow to start. Start the game via steam, wait a little bit after the launcher has disappear, the game will appear and take u to server screen, this happen to me a lot
I was able to play early in the morning yesterday but I’m trying to get on today and after it tried to update it says ‘An error occurred while updating Tree of Savior (English Ver.) (disk read error)’ Is anyone else getting this error when they click the patcher?
Reinstalling the game still fails for me. Doing verify integrity since I reinstalled and still doesn’t work for a couple of times now. Anti Virus is closed and running game as admin. I’m not a pc expert so I’m hesitant to do steps B and D from this thread ✅ 🔧 Tested solutions to patching problems
Gonna try again a few more times and maybe I’ll give up for the day, downloading and doing the same over and over again is tiring, I’ll take grinding IN GAME any time than this haha
Should I send a ticket? They’ll just answer with a pre-made reply through experience, or should we just wait till they officially consider this a bug/problem that a lot of players are experiencing and fix it? 2 days of not being able to participate in the events huhu

Oh sorry I can’t, didn’t really take any screen shots while doing procedures. But basically I did steps A and C from the link I posted as well as your suggestions like deleting the ipf files from the patch folder etc. If one procdure doesn’t do anything, I try another one, until I reinstalled the whole game earlier today and still no luck . . .
try to run steam as you normally do, try verify integrity again and screen shot them. if you see there are files that need to be re-download, then do it. After that don’t start the game but do the verify again, if you see the pop up say all files are up to date or there’s nothing to verify. Then start the game. screenshot this step and put it here. Basically by doing verify integrity , this reset the game and now run like it’s the first time running on ur computer: a really long wait for it to download something when the IMC Tree of savior pop up, so leave your computer there for a couple of HOURS. will work.
OH! I’ve done these several times as well, after verifying, I verified again. When I open client it downloads apk something something , like downloading the game from the start, as I’ve said, I’ve been doing doing this for 2 days now haha
Thanks for the suggestion though! I’ve also waited for like 30 minutest to an hour when you mentioned that the game just takes time to pop up a few posts ago, sadly I think mine was too long to consider that it’ll work.
edit: oh HEY!! there’s only 3 files that failed to validate from the 27-60 files that failed since this morning lol maybe I’m getting there
see, keep verify until there is nothing to do, then start the game and leave it be, I run into the exact same problem as you so i decided to leave my laptop on after start the game OVER NIGHT. it work

Oh wait, leave it overnight after the client 100% patch? and wait for the game to pop up? or for just the download? I have no problem opening the game all day and downloading as I’m workin on something else with TOS in the background haha

Thank you! I’ve been entering a different set of numbers that I see as the last files in my folder. I’ll try those numbers out if I still can’t mine to work after this one.
Edit: No worries man! as long as your game is working! I’ve been following instructions and I was still stuck haha
let the client finish downloading the patch 100%, the start the game via steam , the pop up will show right after u hit the play button. leave it be because their are some downloading under that pop up. just leave it overnight and you will find ur game at the server screen the next morning. only need to suffer this once

This game has the worst patching process and client I’ve ever encountered so far in my gaming life haha This is of course a favourite, so I can endure the pain, but in the first place as customers we shouldn’t be going through this, oh well . . . hope I can get in the game sometime soon!

Yup, thanks for that. Sadly it didn’t work well with me, but I’ll try it again sometime, been verifying integrity for the past hour or two now, then I’ll try opening the game again.
