bad one, i have the same problem.
i really want to play this beta, the first was perfect.
no errors like this.
just wait for the fix.

The “spam enter” thing never worked for me, but what I do is: Leave Task Manager opened, get the error, click “yes”, close the game with task manager and repeat until I get in the game…
It usually takes me 2~4 times at this time of day.
Remember guys: this is a Beta test with over 140k players to test it… it’ll have crowded servers and a lot of lag sometimes… just be have patience.

Well, at least they changed the error notification into something more understandable rather than @dicID_^$ETC___20150918014643$^ :sweat: that’s something done I suppose…

Can someone of the staff tell us what happen or what to expect… if the error is gonna solve… or lose our hopes and uninsntall the game… plz i really want to play.

Try this:
-use windows mode
-at the time when you choose server, when the cursor chance into loading click close (x), no, don’t you dare click ok, just leave it
-wait 5-10 seconds
-now, click cancel
-enjoy it

I have use this solution to enter the game.
1.Go to (YourGamePath)\steamapps\common\TreeOfSavior\release\user.xml
2.Change Resolution Mode to 2
3.Save.
4.Enter the game and wait at the server selection.
5. Press “Enter” button when the screen show to message “Connecting to server” move your mouse to click close button at the top right of the game screen. Waiting for 5 second and press Cancel button.
6. Enjoy.

I think the problem is, that to many players are trying to connect at the same time. Since most players are from europa and america, this is the best time where most people connect and the players just can’t handle it. That’s why this problem never occured in the first closed beta.

People, try to follow this step-by-step to fix the error, it worked for me

  1. D: \ Steam \ steamapps \ common \ TreeOfSavior \ release.
  2. Open the user.xml file as Notepad.
  3. Leave in windowed mode:
    Obs .: The resolution of the monitor does not need to change, it is only in Resolution Mode.
    Change the
    To and save the file.
  4. Open the TOS, click enter and quickly go on the X (close) in the top right corner, then click cancel.
  5. Enter the game.
    Try to do this and say if it worked.

I’m getting this error now, after all this time.
It never showed up before, played for +700 hours…
Now I cannot go past the loading screen after selecting my character and this solution doesn’t work for me.
Changed in windowed mode setting "2"
No difference for setting the resolution.
Is there something else that I need to modify in the “user” file?

Try not to raise topics and search the same mistake in the forum.

Just uninstall all your chat addons.
