Cannot learn attributes from Hunter NPC

Character Name: Sieghart

Bug Description : Cannot learn attributes for Hunter from Hunter NPC (note: I am a Hunter2)

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Go to Hunter NPC
  2. Try to learn attribute
  3. Fail to learn any attributes

I went back to the Archer NPC and was able to learn attributes just fine. I have a token active, and am not currently learning another attribute at the moment. But like I said, I was able to learn attributes from another NPC just fine, and I have the required amount of money.

Edit: Just tried both the Orsha and East Siau Hunter NPC’s, does not work with either.

Edit: Tried quitting party, putting pet away, and de-equipping the pet from char select as well. Still no go.

Seeing as how this was not mentioned in the recent Known Issues post;

I’m addressing it here. You aren’t responding to my ticket on it so… yeah.

As of this afternoon I still cannot learn attributes from the Hunter NPC. There are other threads on this topic as well.

First of all, I would like to say so sorry for the inconvenience of making you wait and be suffered by this issue. Firmly I have informed our QA team to know what problems you are facing and check out, Thank you so much for your cooperation and so sorry for the inconvenience.

Plus, QA informed me that this bug is really hard to find the reason because it does not apply to all of our saviors meaning that we can not reproduce same situation that you got.

FYI still can’t learn hunter attributes from the Hunter NPC.

How long is this going to take to fix? Kind of sucks not being able to test out a classes full potential during the reset event, because there’s an ongoing bug with learning from the NPC that isn’t being fixed.

Hello @lorechiefdocs,

Sorry for the inconvenience. However, I would like to ask if you are using any addons? It is known that a particular addon related to chat filtering may be the issue here.

Hey that worked! I disabled BetterChatFilter and now I can learn from the Hunter NPC.

So why specifically the Hunter NPC?.. Also, before when I removed all my addons it didn’t work :T.

I don’t know the specifics behind it but I heard it had something to do with how the add-on used our chat filter? Anyways, glad to hear that it worked out for you. :slight_smile:
