Cannoneer full dex

Hello I have some questions about my Canoneer full dex build, here is the build:

Im planning to play PVP, so I want 100% crit rate and maximum evasion.

My main question: is Steady Aim useless in a Full dex build ? If it is useless, I should get Falconeer instead ?

Steady aim = more damage. You can’t go wrong with that.

The only thing I question is A3 for pvp. I don’t know anything that A3 would give that is good for pvp.

QS gives caltrops and pavise for pvp as well as stone shot.

I was thinking of Multi Shot lvl 15 with max crit and stun from Rush Dog
and Twin Arrow for easier grinding

It sounds like multi shot would be pretty weak since you’re planning to go full dex though.

No comment on twin arrow.

Btw full dex is ok for cannoneer right ? Or now people found a better str/dex ratio for canon ? I’m planning full dex also for Evasion, since I might not put anything in CON  but then can skill miss ? or skill never miss ?

Yes it is good for Canoneer. Archer C3 is pretty good at PvP, you should be moving around spamming Heavy Shot and Twin Arrow.

I don’t know about your rank 4 / 5. Playing Hunter and Scout is pretty awkward because you’re going to be invisble but your pet won’t. Honestly you probably would do fine in PvP with an Archer C3 -> Scout C3 -> Canoneer C1 build so i recommend that.

You could also just pick Ranger -> Scout -> Falc -> Can.

So the pet will be following me when Im invisible ? I can’t order him to stay somewhere or attack from distance ?
I want Hunter for :
-the stun from Rush Dog
-to have a second attacker, so i can disrupt mage channeling for example

As for stats, full dex is ok ? or should i mix str/dex ?

I would replace Ranger with Rogue for utility. Coupled with Scout’s Cloaking and Hunter’s holding skills (Coursing and Rush Dog’s stun), Sneak Hit and Feint can work well with your Cannoneer skills if done right.

Be noted that there is no 100% crit chance/rate in this game that would apply against all monsters/players, especially when going against high CON / high crit resist enemies.

Swift step’s attribute is dependent on your DEX as well as crit rate from equips (please correct me if I’m wrong, crit rate from equips could be applied right after the base crit rate + S. Step attribute’s bonus).

Level 5 Sneak Hit, though requiring you to position yourself behind the enemy (or use Feint w/ back roll attribute to turn your enemy around), guarantees a 70% crit chance (independent of your DEX or crit rate). This build will allow you to move some points from DEX into STR for better damage.

Except for your Cannoneer skills, this build seems to focus on 1v1 PVP. Great set of utility skills though.

Full dex seems OK, but you’ll need decent CON to survive in PVP. Unfortunately Archer’s HP scaling per CON point is so bad. I had 60+ CON on my lv.210 Falconer which just gave me around 10k+ HP.

Pet’s Targetting AI is really buggy at the moment (sort of random targetting). If your enemy has summons or traps or even their own companion, there’s chance your pet will target those instead when you use your Hunter Skills.

The way I work around this problem is to cast Pointing as soon as the duel starts so my pet focuses on the target (still tricky to execute when they have a companion/summon up already). You can use Full Draw to push and bind their companions/summons away for some time (I haven’t tested Fluflu on them yet if it works). I then follow it up immediately w/ either Coursing or Rush Dog, then I go about my DPS combo.

They’re both fine.

In terms of PvP potential Hunter outperforms most other classes in the Archer Tree, I’m not saying Hunter is bad for PvP, i’m just saying it might be awkward to have a Companion when you’re Stealthing.

I’m not a Hunter player so i can’t say if that’s how it works. Maybe an experienced Hunter player could shed some light here.
