Calling all Oracles: Shiny/Lucky mob drops are not random but static. Can someone deny?

That’s actually really disappointing. If this is the case, then white Large Panto Spearmans only drop 2x superior staves, or something along those lines.

Yeah probably, maybe they go deeper to 0.5%, but someone said somwhere that golden is basically 3x white or smth like that.

Why bother with Clairvoyance & Resetting? Shouldn’t it be pointless in the long run?

One level in change is not enough? Am I missing something?

You seem to be missing a lot of things, but unless you start typing out proper sentences nobody can help you.

Clairvoyance & resetting is not pointless - it is specific. You don’t reset mobs you have readily availible, you check and reset those you don’t come across often and examples for that are numerous.

Is it really that important to get second roll on vubble blood? Wouldn’t you rather spend 2 points on something else?

There is another application involving silver for reset.

Clairvoyance and resetting are useful for scenarios where change cannot work (miniboss types). Change, well, I expect changes to it

You are partially correct. When you spawn a lucky mob, you must also take note of its HP. Sometimes you’ll be unlucky and change a lucky mob into a miniboss version of it. The result in this is that you will get no drops because the drop table for these has nothing in it.

What you are correct in though is that it will drop everything it has within a certain probability and its base.

I’ve noticed that shiny white mobs will drop exactly 100x the silver of the regular version (e.g. mob drops 150 normally, a white shiny version will drop 15k).

I’m using an addon called cwFarmed (link) that writes how much silver you pick up in the chat box so it’s really easy to see that it drops exactly 100 times the normal amount (the amount of silver a shiny mob drops is always an amount that ends in 00). I will take a screenshot next time I kill a shiny mob.

I haven’t encountered a gold shiny mob since I started using this addon yet, but if I had to guess, it will probably multiply by a similar constant number, maybe 1000x or 500x.

Also to add my data on shiny mob drops, I killed 3 changed shiny Stone Orcas and they only dropped equips/silver, but no mithril ore .

On a similar topic, does anyone here know how Oracle’s Change, Clairvoyance, and Resetting interact with DPK (drops per kill)?

I’m actually not 100% convinced that this mechanic exists, but here is a link to an explanation.

I dont think its drops per kill, in my party we saw multiple recipes in succession.

Clairvoyance just shows what drops, reset just changes it.

Change is well change as you know some mobs are buggy and a new lootable comes with them bust for the most part the old lootable is active unless you reset it (which would be necessary like under 1% of the time anyway)

This is valuable information. Hotfix inc

I found a gold Kenol mob since my last post but forgot to record it but here is the silver in the chat:

It looks like gold mobs drop exactly 1000 times the amount of silver they were going to drop. This one also dropped 3-4 Kenol Crystals, 2 Short Spears, 2 Steel Chainmails, 0 Red Gems (I think).

Also here are two white shiny kills of Lizardmen that I recorded:

These are the kind that are on the Orsha side so they have a different drop table than the ones in Goddess’s Ancient Garden. I have no idea if they drop the same rare drops (Bloodstone, Brigandine top/bottom, gem) but those didn’t drop for me. Both of these shiny mobs dropped: 8700 silver, 1 claw, 1 Kozuka recipe. They turned shiny within 2 minutes of each other so I’m happy about that

Killed two yellow Hogmas today and had no Shinbone from them.

I am sorry for your disappointing experience. However if you kill 100 yellow mobs on average you will have one gigantic shinbone.

IMC sends their love & restrictions as per usual

So I’m hunting terranium for weeks now and why is it so special/rare?

I probably did more than 300 resets now and not a single terranium
Summoned 5 whites brown imps = no terranium
I found 1 gold = still nope
I got 3 so far only from killing regular brown imps

Oh and I summoned spectra today hihhi

A number of mob drops, based on old data mining from earlier betas when the drop tables were included in the client, appear to use a different system than standard % chance. The thinking goes that the game attempts to reward you semi-regularly with these special item drops after you accrue enough ‘points’ of some kind, either for hitting certain number of kills or every so often. These kind of items won’t be affected by drop rate increasing effects of silver and gold mobs; your best bet is just to kill a lot of them.

That would be a strange method for drop-regulation in the games current state as we are already pretty limited on mobs available to slay.
On the other hand it support grinding on its own.

Problem is I cant think of a way to prove or disprove “unlucky-drop-streak-preventing”-system

My theory is the droprate item u want is too low. Even with shiny mobs, the item didnt drop. Same with monster gem. U cant expect 100% get monster gem in shiny mobs. All those low droprate item u need luck. Even oracles skill cant help u get that.

Just think it like mid rate ro. U still need farm few hundreds/thousand to get card and some low droprate item

Good point! With all of those reset I also didn’t get exp cards but I got some of them by killing the monster. I guess some items are just rarer than the other (terranium>harugal leather which I did get through reset)
