C2 or P3 better for healing/support?

I’ve got most of build figured except for one of the ranks. I can’t decide between taking C2 or P3. (The other ranks I’m pretty set on, so it’s just deciding this single one.)

Which would be better for a party heal/support role late game?

I’m going for a full Int Build, and won’t be going Champlin.

I guess the real decision is between more heal tiles/divine might/fade vs better revive/better mass heal/stone skin.

What do you guys think?

Different kind of style. C2 is all about healing. Safety Zone is good but expect 60% of players to run off because the enemy runs off. Divine Might is good but not as crucial as others.
Priest3 is all about stone skin and better buffin’ and better insta heal.

Cleric2: Give only 1 point in fade if you go for PvE. Always max heal. Divine Might comes before Safety Zone.
Priest2/3: If you want to go support, always max Mass Heal and Stone Skin. Revive comes after that, but put at least 3 points in it for effectiveness.

Can you give us your full build plan? It’ll make more sense whether you should go C2 or P3. There’s really not much reason to go P3 other than Chaplain/Monk. All others have better choices.

cleric 2 is the answer.

Cleric 2 pros:
Heal lv10
(10 squares, awsome)
Divine Might lv5
(Heal lv11, SZ lv11, Any buff +1level, More awsome)
Safety Zone lv10 + Attributes
(OP)
Fade
(Just a plus)

Priest 3 pros:
Revive
(50% HP + 10sec immunity upon death. Useful but 25% HP and 5sec immunity is enough to not die again. Would only consider in PvP environment but you will miss Safety Zone and Heal in that case much more)
Mass heal lv10
(The CD is higher than heal, can’t be pre casted and doesn’t have 2x charges)
Stone skin
(Only avoid physical damage, magic you are doomed. 60sec CD. Scale with spr. Can’t take Safety Zone attribute)
Sac+Bless higher lv
(the buff difference of 5lvs is ridiculous specially when you go high level and you will hit for absurd amount of damage compared to you +5lv buff. lol)

PS: remember buff can be also bought max levels scroll for hours

Not sure why you are failing to mention revive, besides that you are obviously biased towards the cleric option.

Another solution is to get both p3 and c2. Works well with Chaplain builds.

Thanks for reminding me, edited.
If you think I’m biased by all means please do I as did and point out why he should take priest 3 over cleric 2.

If you arent going chaplain, then just stick cleric2 in your build for healing. From there it is up to you how you want to support, be it with diev/druid, paladin for barrier, krivis for buffs/offense, etc etc.

Chaplains usually go cleric2 in rank6 to bolster their already strong support options.

Thanks for the replies.

The rest of my build is most likely going to be K1->O1->Kab1.

I’m pretty determined on taking Oracle and Kabbalist for the last two ranks. So it’s between:

C2->P2->K1->O1->Kab1
vs
C1->P3->K1->O1->Kab1

I can also maybe see:
C2->P3->O1->Kab1
but I don’t really want to be constantly buying Daino scrolls…

@wenoweon I would take Priest3 over Cleric2 any day for Monk, but that’s why I asked what does he plan to do on later builds.
I have a Cleric2/Diev which is so useless in parties. I’m sure they’ll shine later but right now my usefulness compared to Priests, especially on maintaining SP, is really low.

Let’s not even mention the useless Cleric2s running around out there in dungeons almost leeching.

@sandmaker Hmm that’s a hard call because C2>P3 feels interesting, but if only the first two are your choices, yeah do C2>P2.

Getting a whole rank just for Daino seems like such a waste. I would recommend going C2->P3->O1->Kab1 and just learn to prioritize your buffs. Cast them when you need to, don’t just auto-pilot it and you will be fine.

For hardcore content, stock up on Daino 10 scrolls. You might not be the only one doing it too.

EDIT: To give some examples, as an oracle I would not even bother using Arcane Power unless I was in a group with a Monk or if Daino was already in play.

He said it’s int build…
And p3 over c2 for monk you must be joking.
All the points I just mentioned explains why.

You rather have Stone skin that scale with spr and doesn’t protect magic over having +30 hits protection in Safety Zone of everything?
You rather have +20% mass heal high CD instead +5 titles x2 Heal?
You rather not have +1 level in all your monk skill instead of 5lvs in buff equivalent to about 1% you high level damage?

You will have harder time solo, finding party and healing it and you will fail in PvP.

Good luck with that.

OP: Sorry I can’t help any further, I don’t know Oracles or Kab

Yeap. I hate my Cleric2/Diev. But what works for you is good. I just love my Priest3/Monk to death.
Easier solo and easier party support. Don’t know about pvp though.
But hey, I’m just a newbie, what do I know?

Another point. You might not want to pigeonhole yourself into ‘full-support’ in this game, as most groups will look for a hybrid option.

For PVE I think you are gimping yourself by not having an option for AoE damage, be it Diev, Druid, Chaplain with c2 for safety wall + auto-attack, etc etc.

Your build will be just sitting on the sidelines and putting up buffs/healing. Bit of a waste.
