[Build] Saintone's Diev Doctor ○ Support & Offense ○ PvE & PvP (No longer updated.)

It doesn’t offer anything for synergy. It provides additional damage options, from Begone Demon to Creeping Death Charm, the latter of which seems to have far higher damage potential than what PD C2 can provide with proper set-up. Shadow Walk looks immensely useful, but all of these things hinge on the numerical values of each skill.

From a glance, PD C2 looks to be the superior PvP choice and Daoshi looks to be the superior PvE choice. It is however, too early to tell.

Yeah it is too early as you say. A bit sad about druid c3. I was expecting a bit more

Hi Saintone! In the equipment section, you mentioned wearing Animus for amulet. Does it gives significant damage boost for us Diev Doctors? I’m using Conqueror (HP +916, SP +194, HP&SP Recovery +17) so far. Since I didn’t pick Druid, I’m more of the defensive type. Is that good enough? I just got Animus recipe and torn between using it or selling it. That silver can buy me a lot of attribute points. How much is Animus affecting your owl damage? Please let me know, thanks!

I’m also curious about this, how much matk does 1% attributes equivalent to?like for example i have enough money to get 1% attributes or trying to get hp recov in my gear (to get mamp->matk bonus from animus) which one is better, get 1% attributes or get hp recov say like 120-140 which is equivalent to abt 48-56mamp (24-28matk). While 1% doesnt seems like a lot but someone told me that attributes is counted after everything else is counted into consideration (gear, buff, etc) and some buff such as quickcast attributes also enhances the effect of attributes better. Any opinion/idea about this? @Veritas?Thank you very much.

i’m goin for ET + pvp

healin factor 5 ? bloodlettin 2 + pandemic 3 and incineration 5 ?

i’m so confusin with d skills can u show me what are u usin today on plague mango ?

@shina_tseng - I hold reservations on jobs until I see the exact number values. I’d perhaps consider Priest C1 over Dievdirbys C1 and Oracle C1 in the missing slot in that build, as a true hybrid support/DPS path.

@rosafedtschenkoana - Animus is great, and does provide a significant boost in damage. But if your attribute levels are still low, there’s no harm in trying to sell it to boost your attributes first over it. I would arbitrarily say that beyond 60-70% is icing on the cake when it comes to the owl.

@bdarwongso1 - Correct, attributes are factored after all other calculations. The question you’re proposing varies off of some metrics, specifically at what level of owl are we getting that attribute level? In your example the HP recovery would provide more damage in most scenarios (remember Magic Amplification is a variable stat) however if the cost of increasing the owl is still low I’d argue you’d get more mileage out of purchasing more attributes.

@hiike.vanheich - As of right now, I use Healing Factor Lv. 5, Incineration Lv. 5, Bloodletting Lv. 3, Beak Mask Lv. 1, Fumigate Lv. 1 for both PvP and ET. I only use Healing Factor and Incineration in ET. In PvP, I use all five skills very regularly, with the exception of Fumigate which I only use occasionally (this will likely change to frequent when the change is implemented that allows Fumigate to clear Raise from Psychokino).

I’ve updated this guide to use my most up-to-date skill schema, and renovate the guide in a few places here and there. You can all find the latest updates in the changelog located at the top.

In addition I’ve received a few messages asking for PvP footage without it being a montage. Here are three matches, un-edited. This will be appended to the videos section of the opening post.

Hi, how do u think about taking Pardoner at rank 6? i want to be a PD 2, it has more DoT skill, i think Discerning Evil will worth.
Now Telepath isn’t worth because of nerf, if i take Druid, it only shine when bossing, and with 40f of ET (more in future), i think they will accept using Soul Crystal in this place, if not, cleric with priest will rule the style
Hope u reply, i’m going to reach rank 6 tomorrow :’( sorry for my bad English

Discerning Evil is actually pretty decent! But not for Incineration. It’s best application is in tandem with a state like Sleep or Freeze that someone else on your team can apply, and then spreading the new duration with Pandemic to nearby enemies.

It’s not all that great for Incineration (since the skill already has wonderful uptime), but it’s not bad either. I personally enjoy the Druid C1 pick still, but that’s because I’m a fiend for damage. Priest C1 in my opinion is a stronger pick over Pardoner C1, but depending on your team comp for late game content, again Pardoner has a lot of feasibility as well.

With c2 pd on rank8 with that 2nd dot skill discerning evil will extend both incinerate and that other skill. Plus discerning evil seems better than some other wierd builds that require you to put alot of debuffs to maximize incinerate. Discerninf evil if used after incinerate is like having 5 debuffs. Imagine set up laima or whatever one you prefer, heck even lv1 deprotect zone from cleric1. Then incinerate and follow by discerning evil. More debuff the better. Pardoner looks like a one rank wonder for PD the way i look at it.

Discerning Evil loses merit with Incineration specifically because usually, there are enough debuffs on enemies to get nearly 100% uptime on Incineration without it. This is in organized party play, which is what we should be using as an example. This is actually furthered by Plague Doctor C2, whose higher level Incineration will have even higher base duration before any debuffs affect it.

Discerning Evil is best used with lockdown CC when it comes to large groups of mobs, as well as certain debuffs that benefit some of the physical DPS potential teammates to vastly improve their damage.

For groups of elites i still wouldn’t c1 druid for damage since i feel that it isn’t versatile enough. Carnivory doesn’t flyers and has hit limit. Discerning evil extends incinerate up to 5 targets, works on flyers and doesn’t really have hit limit. But is coming from the perspective when playing alone. Extending statuses seems more for pvp. Carnivory lv5 is good at single target and against non flyers. And that mind control skill can bring targets to your ground ground deploys. More for pvp it seems. But that just my opinion. Maybe in actual pve practice discerning evil isn’t so great after all.

It has PvP application but it is strongest in PvE. Late game Earth Tower content is more about controlling mobs more so than dealing damage. Discerning Evil is a very, very powerful tool when used with Pandemic. Even 15 seconds (Ice Bolt into Discerning Evil into Pandemic) is enough breathing room to get back another one of your tools like Carve World Tree during downtime.

Druid C1 is a PvP/bossing pick. It is not for mobbing. You can’t use Incineration as a comparison to Carnivory when you can have both.

Wow sounds like discerning evil is even more worthy than it already is.

thanks Veritas, i have reached rank 6 yesterday and chosen priest, i’m very surprise because i can use Ressurection more than once per round, idk what they meant when they said “can only use once per round”
about the stats, i heard someone said that Incineration or Owl Carve do not scale with INT, is it right ? i’m going to (100 int and rest to CON) or (full CON), u think which is better ?
hope u reply

It means every player on your team is allowed to be brought back to life from the skill Resurrection once per round. Same is the case with the skill Revive that auto-resurrects. Everyone can be brought back to life with it once per round.

Both owl and Incineration gain additional damage from intelligence. I like the first option more than the second for stats.

Hey Veritas.

You said earth tower is all abour controlling mobs. So would you say druid c3 mass telepaty would be usefull there.

Depends on the quantity of enemies you’re able to control. That being said, most likely not.

one question, not it’s better use lolpanther plate armor, boots, pants and lolopanther gloves. because plate set give hp recovery and boots. this work better fr animus.?

It is better to wear Lolopanther Plate Chest, Pants, and Boots with Lolopanther Gloves (cloth). However at the moment, the 190 HP recovery granted by the Lolopanther two-piece plate bonus does not get converted into Magic Amplification provided by Animus.

A report was already filed by another member of the community to which IMC has already responded they’re looking into this. At this very exact moment, full cloth is better, until they fix that issue.

In terms of Team Battle League PvP, full cloth is also better since the intelligence bonus actually is beneficial to you.
