[Build] Saintone's Diev Doctor ○ Support & Offense ○ PvE & PvP (No longer updated.)

I miss plenty of Incineration, don’t worry. It’s just a montage. The truth is I just go for gut feeling if they have a debuff on them or not. Incineration works on a surprising amount of debuffs. I’ll often just use Incineration and hope they have a debuff on them just because the cooldown is low enough, only holding it if I know we have strong disables on our team.

When I made that video, it was the first session, so no one had high MMR yet. Now that I play in high MMR matches, there are not nearly as many Psychokino present as there are Cleric (and I just match against the same people every session). And Psychokino is definitely one of the best classes to duo with in PvP with this build. In Klaipeda, it’s like 60% Cleric, 25% Wizard (of which, 40% Necromancer or Sorcerer, 40% Psychokino, 20% miscellaneous), 10% Archer, 5% Swordsman at high MMR. So the problem is most Cleric lack a disable to capitalize Incineration on, and so you have to rely on your own skills to debuff them (Laima, Cure, Heal, World Tree) to get your Incineration off.

Nice matches!

Oh I see.

Actually, here, in [EU]Fedimian, I don’t see a lot of Psychokino. I may have seen only one so far?
But yes, there is a lot of Clerics. But a team full dps that hits hard can beat Clerics easily. I had once a team of 3 Clerics with me, we lost because the other’s party damage was insane.
Most Wizard are CryoChrono, linker or ElemLock here. But some are Necro/summoner which is actually really strong in PvP.
The swordsman I saw so far were all Cataphract. When I started PvP, I saw other kind of swordie but now, only Cata. And there isn’t a lot…5% like you said.
As for archers, there was actually a good number of them. Same number as wizard in fact. Wugushi, Musketeer, QS…

Yes. That is the problem with the system inherently. Cleric are very strong and can carry in low MMR because there’s an abundance of DPS, most of which do not have mitigation.

At high MMR, there’s over-saturation of Cleric, and lack of DPS. There’s redundancy when you have things like two Priest on the same team vs. having a DPS that can actually kill and capitalize. The higher you climb, the more beneficial it is to be a DPS to take care of kills yourself, because you have such a higher chance to queue in with a competent Cleric or two just because of how we’re seeded.

How much CON you have? 16k is 100+ i assume

That video is with 98 Constitution of actual points invested. I have 159 invested now for both PvP and PvE purposes.

you think 130 CON and the rest in INT is good? Recommends some other option?

Sounds fine-ish for PvP. But you can get away with a little less in PvE. Anywhere from 90-160 constitution is pretty good pending your preferences for the kind of content you’re doing, as well as the people you play with.

I’m following the build, my focus is pvm / boss. thks

i’m in love with ur videos mango, because of u i can understand very things about tos! xD ty a lot man, if u allowed ask, on this moment u are playin pvp and ET right ? … are u usin healin factor on ur build ? i dont see it on ur hotkeys xD on ET is pretty useless like u said, on pvp too ?

Hows cleric2 diev3 druid1 plague during solo play at level 240+? I won’t always be in a party so im wondering if they can play well alone. Statues long cooldown seems more suitable in stationary situations. When grinding for exp you’ll always be on the move alone or in party. Dievdirbys looks like a really interesting class. I always get curious about them when i see one.

@hiike.vanheich - I use Healing Factor in both PvE and PvP, but in PvE it’s much more situational.

@EinZweiDrei - This build is not very good at soloing efficiently unfortunately. Dievdirbys pales compared to other options like Bokor in that department.

would cleric2 diev2 bokor2 plague work well for late game solo play?

It lacks the assets of Dievdirbys C3 or Bokor C3, which are powerful in themselves. I would recommend against dipping in only two circles of either, but that build would technically work I suppose.

are you able to solo 130 dungeon?

@masterblin46_9 - I’ll make a video tomorrow.

With R8 announced, we have some things to think about. There are three major choices to make here as a natural segue from this build.

  1. Plague Doctor C2 - From a PvP perspective this is the obvious pick due to buff removal and armor break. Increased Incineration damage is always welcome (I doubt the debuff spread will be very useful since we are Dievdirbys, assuming it snapshots like Pandemic), and the toxic spray is a good opportunity for us to set up Incineration significantly easier. Sets us up for potentially Plague Doctor C3 in the future.

  2. Daoshi C1 - More zoning. The slow-moving DPS skill looks immensely powerful but does not look self-sustaining for mobbing (would require a Linker or Joint Penalty scrolls, the latter which will likely end up being very expensive to sustain). Best pick for bossing though, for sure. The AoE Fade looks very strong as well for PvE. This is probably the best PvE pick. Also sets us up for Daoshi C2 in the future, if it capitalizes on zoning.

  3. Druid C2 - Gives us stronger Carnivory and Sterea Troph, the latter of which is still one of the most powerful PvE tools in the game at the moment. I don’t find Druid C3 very interesting, so whatever happens the Druid path in this build would likely end here.

?) Potentially hidden class.

is discerning evil a single target skill or can it extend the duration on incinerate on multiple targets?

It is naturally single target, but an attribute can allow it to affect a few enemies at a time. I don’t recommend it for Incineration, since the skill already has good uptime without it.

What do you think about the new Inquisitor class? Its anti-mage skills is appealing for pvp/battle league.

I think it looks quite strong and the base damages are high enough to consider it even as a magic DPS class. However we’d more than likely not be taking advantage of the blunt weapon bonus (depending on what it offers) due to the nature of magic attack enhancing on rods. Weapon swap is always an option, but is not always conducive for everyone.

As far as PvP goes, it cannot really out-perform Plague Doctor C2 in terms of utility. Inquisistor C1 damage can always be prevented through normal means, e.g. Safety Zone or other invulnerabilities.

What would be your r8 for cleric tree?

Priest 1 instead of r8?
