[Build] Saintone's Diev Doctor ○ Support & Offense ○ PvE & PvP (No longer updated.)

@trevor_sw :

  1. Dievdirbys statues work well in late game, in all facets of gameplay.
  2. Zaibas are not deadly in PvP since they’re easily projected, easy to escape from, and easy to avoid, unless used on hard CC’d targets, which happens often enough. Still, the rest of Krivis doesn’t offer enough for PvP purposes, besides for Aukuras which has a very long cooldown and limited range.

Daoshi works best with Krivis. Daoshi would be annoying to play with Dievdirbys, I’d surmise, as an additional material class.

Daoshi is not very strong in PvP. I would hope this changes in C2.

Please reference the guide’s new R6 Selection section for my input on the R6 class choice.

@Paradise : It just drops them like Fumigate and allows them to move away.

i see…so you dont recommend playing both taoist and diev? i raelly interested in both diev and taoist haha…if taoist not that good for pvp…what is that class good at?

is it works if i go like cleric2 diev3 oracle pd2?

This route is fine for PvP.

where is ur stream ?

Hi veritas, For this build, can you suggest me about gems and in what equip and how many stars do you recommend? thx before…

and also another question… somethimes when i do some quest in scene (fighting boss or kill monsters in duration)… my owl damage is diminished around 50%… is it a bug? or mechanism in the game?.. soon after the event ends… my owl damage become normal again.

@rivansoetanto :

  1. 6★ is a safe amount to go for, for now. Anything beyond is a pretty big investment. Red in chest and pants. Yellow in boots. Blue in primary weapon. That’s about it.

  2. I’ve not encountered this bug yet personally. But I haven’t quested on my Cleric in quite some time since my log is clear.

Beautiful guide Veritas. Really well made.

I got a few questions tho. I mostly pve and will use your build to pve with. Just because i want something else.

I got max peta, and currently wondering if animus is going to be worth it. I’m only 155 atm, but how much does animus add towards your magic attack? and damage increase over max petamion. I’m currently full int, but will move some con into my build.

Thanks!

Need to look at the benefits of Max Petamion on this build.

Strength is mostly negligible. Dexterity is mostly negligible. Spirit, this build doesn’t really run into SP issues. Intelligence covers less than half the Magic Attack bonus Animus provides. Constitution becomes the key-defining point of Max Petamion, and the 1’200-1’300 HP it provides can be considered negligible vs. the sheer amount of Magic Amplification Animus can provide you.

It’s okay to use Max Petamion, but Animus is certainly a general optimization since this is meant to be played offensively.

Hi man,

I’ve been following your guides for a while now and they’re great! Would you mind to share some tips/strategies on how this build can win battle league or duels (e.g skills to use vs wizard, vs archer, vs swordman)?

I enjoy duels with a few guildmates and found this build decent but not as good as bokor/pd in duels (but that could because the difference in damage output) or .

Cheers!

Dievdirbys is not a phenomenal dueling class. Anyone with common sense will avoid your owls. Usually to win duels you must land Incineration in order to win.

In contrast, Dievdirbys can shine in the hectic 5v5 TBL environment, since people aren’t as cautious of solely you and your status. Bokor will win 1v1 since once Hexing lands, they need only press one button repeatedly to win without having to worry about catching. Though with more and more people getting Rheivsan gear it’s getting harder for Bokor and Warlock to deal their fatal damage in a short time window.

This build carries through team play. It’s capacity for winning situations where it’s you vs. many is less than that of Bokor or some of the other Cleric classes. But through it’s assets it wins by supplementing the team’s ability. In a way, it’s an offensive support.

When it comes to damage, which is what you appear to want to do, the best times are capitalizing on your teammates. Psychokino that use Raise, or a Freeze for example, make it very easy to land Incineration, a skill people seldom survive unless they have a Cleric on hand immediately. People talk about Incineration being useless simply because it’s difficult to land but the reality of TBL is that you can wait for moments like hard CC to land one of the most powerful DOTs.

This will be easier with R8, since Plague Vapors is fairly easy to land and even easier to hit multiple enemies with, through Pandemic.

what’s Rheivsan gear?

Rhevisan Bracelet and Rhevisan Necklace are purple-grade 220 items that come as recipes from the Saalus Mission Cube. They offer high constitution and high dark property resistance, but in addition to this grant a permanent row-two buff that reduces a percentage of incoming dark damage. The bracelet offers 20% each and the necklace offers 35%, allowing you to reduce incoming dark damage by a significant amount (it’s not quite 75% as you’d think because of strange IMC calculations, but it’s definitely enough to more than halve any dark damage that comes your way).

@Veritas

they reduce it in separate parts:

1000 - 20% = 800

800 - 20% = 640

640 - 35% = 416

and not 1000 - 75% = 250

I think they will remove Warlock’s damage penalty after Rhevisan + Rank 8, but all I can really do is hope for it.

It’s pretty rare to see somone with all 3 as of now though.

Hi @Veritas. do u think this build good for et or wb ? i more of a soloist with casual random pub pt. any advise on the skill points?

Ah thanks for your reaction.

This makes sense indeed. I will skip it for now tho, as i will focus on attributes first.

removed my question

nvm, i readed a bit more reactions in the thread and its pretty clear druid is the way to go.

@Cel3stial : Without changing your job selections, I would change these skills accordingly.

I’m not too fond of the Dievdirbys C2 pick because I feel the assets at C3 are too strong to give up, but the rest of the build notion is fine. Bokor C2 is fine for the most part, Cleric C2 is core, and Plague Doctor C2 is fine. However as you’ve dictated that PvP is not one of your focuses, I’ve removed your status removal points minus one point in Bloodletting for pubs. Spring for higher Pandemic.

I’m not too keen on zombies, but if you want zombies, I’ve left zombies. Some people just really like zombies.

Generally speaking job-wise it’s okay, for the purposes you’ve noted, but it seems like mostly a soloist PvE build with some capacity for group play.

@Gatygun : Druid C1 remains the most damage-oriented R6 pick but as described in the R6 Selection section of the guide, any of the four will do fine, and honestly all three other possible selections to make at R6 are more long term than Druid C1, whose damage will fall off as monsters scale faster while it’s damage scales linearly at just a single circle.

what is the use of the lvl 1 carve?

In this game, there are a lot of things, especially in the late game, that may have 200 HP (as an example) but only take 1 damage at a time, meaning multi-hits are key to destroying them.

This build lacks multi-hits, however Carve is a nice one point investment to have access to 15 swift hits to assist in target destruction.

Yea i kinda destroyed my money atm on a artie weapon to get it to +10, took me 7m and didn’t got it higher then +8

Anyway i tested druid a bit out and i must say i like it a lot. Specially in pvp scene. You just run in when you are imuum in there base and throw it in there. You will see people melt infront of you.

In pve on the other end its a mixed bag, its basically a super version of cure which isn’t bad by all means. But it does about on 50% attribute and 1000 m.atk ( only got 170 gear yet ) about 120k dmg on a single target in one cast, or it splits up over a group. Perfectly fine for low hp targets, big hp targets it makes hardly a dent obviously.

Still for a mixture of boss burst and some aoe solution burst + pvp in mind with mind control, it’s one hell of a strong class to pick. So no regret just yet.

on higher end content with 400k hp monsters, i can’t really see much usefulness for the skill in pve to be honest. Sure it’s nice to have as extra burst on a single target, but frankly it’s probably not going to be used much.

Also with ignition rod, does the burn actually add incinerate time?, because with that druid skill it’s easy to burn a group of monsters.

Ignition’s burn is a separate debuff that contributes two additional seconds to Incineration, yes.
