if you drink a health pot, then sit down next to the fire, your pot buff goes away.

There is a limit to how many buffs you can have on your character at a time (increased by krivis skill Zaibo), it’s probably passing the limit and beign cancelled by it.
No it’s a real bug, I’ve got it too when soloing and having 0 buffs. (buff limit is 6 or 7 don’t really know but it’s quite high)
The health pot icon is the same as the bonfire buff and it seems to override the heal on time effect of the potion.
